this is the best grater i’ve ever bought. i went through so many and they just didnt work. i was skeptical of this one bc it didnt have a lot of reviews and it was cheap ,but it was the best thing ive bought all year lol

Nice product, easy to use and clean. It is really sharp and the grate angle is really high so when grating a lemon with two passes it is down to the rind. It is a nice product but for what i was looking for it was to aggressive. Would be great on a hard cheese, not so much for zesting fruits.

We own a narrower grater that zests oranges, limes & lemons perfectly.
I bought this unit for it’s wider surface area, hoping to be a bit more efficient. The problem is this grater easily bites into the bitter pith. I tried using varying hand pressures on the above mentioned fruits to no avail. So, this is a very effective tool, just not for a fine zest.

It’s fantastic. Really does the job. I use it to grate everthing : from lemon rinds for desserts to ginger in my tea. Cleaning is slightly tricky because the scrubber gets snagged occasionally on the raised ‘holes’ but that’s true of any grater. I got rid of my obsolete, rectangular grater asap!

I’ve been using this for a couple of months now and I absolutely love it. Very sturdy, easy to clean and there’s been no degradation of the little blades. It is not at all flimsy or floppy! This seems much better quality then what you can get at stores like kitchen stuff plus, etc

So far so good. Tried it with parmesan and ginger. It is sting build and very sharp.
Jusqu’à maintenant rien à redire. Essayé avec parmesan et gingembre. Elle est solide et coupé bien.

An indispensable tool to zest dark chocolate, ginger, garlic, parmesan cheese and citrus fruits (lemon, lime, orange). It is easy to use, fits comfortably in the hand and is very large. This allows you to shred a large quantity in a very short time. Also, this zester is robust, easy to clean and believe me it’s worth the price!

Very aggressive tines. Getting towards the rind on a piece of parmesan is scary as one slip and your knuckle is toast. Why the slip you ask? Because the tines are so aggressive, they grab hard cheeses like parm and your hand continues without the cheese. Similarly, the butt end of whole nutmeg is difficult if not impossible to grate. I’ve owned/used other name brand zesters that don’t present the same problem. Finally, the issue is born out once again while zesting citrus… Too much pith with the zest and zesters surface is too grabby, hard to get even amount of zest off the fruit. Albeit, this review is primarily aimed for the home cook in terms of safety and usability, whereas the commercial kitchen would probably benefit from the speed at which the zester performs.

There’s nothing actually wrong with this product. It’s sharp, its external dimensions and design are nearly identical to my older Microplane.
HOWEVER, pictures don’t lie. This doesn’t produce as FINE a zest or grated Parmesan. For most needs it’s going to be fabulous. Unfortunately, if you want your citrus zest to really vanish in cooking then you’ll want to pay the little bit extra for a true fine Micro. Mine is getting dull and now I’ve paid $8.99 for something I’m giving away because it’s no different than an elongated one I bought last year for cheddar etc. and I’ll still shell out to replace my Microplane. If you’re a snotty foodie like me (and own engineer’s rulers) it will matter.
Otherwise, it deserves its good ratings.

This is a wonderful zester; very sharp and easy to use. Beware though when washing it … besides zesting lemons and grating cheese, it will do a ‘number’ on your knuckle if they collide.
I love that it has a protective shield. Comes in handy!
I’m quite happy with this kitchen tool.

This Zester/Shreader is a well made and well designed device. It is rasor sharp, easy to clean and easy to control. It is safe to use as long as one is paying attention to the task at hand. Take care of it (by protecting the cutting surface from contact with any metal objects) and should last a very long time. This size is useful for larger fruits such as oranges and lemons.

This is not a micrograter and it’s not even a good grater. It only grates one way — not ideal for lemons or other citrus. It is so hard to use that you are in danger of skinning yourself if you try harder. It’ll have to be tossed. What a waste of money!

Used for lemon zesting and parmesan cheese grating. I love love love this product! Very visually appealing and wonderfully easy to use and clean
