I will never ever ever buy another Polaroid Camera again.

I really wanted a Polaroid Camera, I’ve never had one before. Now, I’m in no way a professional photographer, but I love taking instant photos and I have two different Instax cameras and a printer. I wanted a Polaroid 1) Because it was Polaroid. and 2) the film paper is much cheaper than the Instax film.

I don’t have a lot of money, so I bought this one, which is less expensive than the Snap Touch. Despite reading some reviews saying the camera didn’t work. Most reviews were positive, some complain about the photo quality, but I take a lot of instant photos and know the quality isn’t super amazing. It’s for nostalgia. So the only thing I was really focused on was it not working, and there were only a few, so I figured dud camera, it happens sometimes.

I used Prime one-day shipping to get the camera so I could use it as soon as possible. Opening it up the next day, I plugged it in to charge and when it was ready, turned it on.

“Turned it on”. The camera didn’t work. It would light up to say it’s charging, but wouldn’t do anything.

I emailed Polaroid and I was told to send the camera in for a replacement. So I did, paying shipping, I sent the camera to Polaroid. The tracking said the camera was delivered three days later on the 21st.

Yesterday, the 31st, I emailed again asking what was going on because I never got any confirmation that they received the camera, or if they sent the other one out. Only upon emailing them was I told the colour I had was out of stock, and I would have to choose another colour.

So now, the camera I bought with prime to use right away still hasn’t been shipped by to me by Polaroid one week after they received it. Not to mention I’m not sure if I’ll be able to return it to Amazon if the second one doesn’t work.

Long story short: The camera didn’t work and Polaroids customer service has been disappointing. Don’t buy. Kodak has a similar camera that uses the same photo paper, try them.

    **

    EDIT:

After using this camera for a little while now, I honestly have to say stay away. Don’t buy this. It’s slow, it’s loud, the quality isn’t great. If you want an instant camera buy an Insax Camera. My biggest pet peeve with this camera right now is that there’s no way to tell how many sheets are inside without opening the back. I don’t think you’re supposed to do this once the blue paper is out, so I haven’t opened mine for fear of ruining the zink paper.

The lens cap isn’t attached to the camera in any way, nor is there a way to attach it. It sticks to the camera really well, but once you take it off to take photos it gets lost easy.

Great fun and a wonderful alternative to digital photos which never get printed. Wonderful for weddings and family events.

Would recommend version with LCD screen which has has slot for micro sd card for storing photos to print at a later date.

Took a bit to figure this camera out as the instructions are just pictures. Pretty straight forward but I wasted a couple pictures figuring everything out. I had to watch a few YouTube videos lol

The pictures were grainy and you could hardly see I wonder if I got a faulty one because the back where you loaded the film would not close which was probly the cause for over exposure might be good very giftable I prob just had a damaged item by fluke

Camera tanto bella in foto quanto scadente appena ricevuta.

I loved that I could take this camera to a kids camp that I volunteer at and they could have instant memories. We used them for a memory window. The downside is that the polaroids are quite costly. But it is a fun way to have Instagram style photos in real life!

Mega disappointing – worked for a few months then packed up. Unable to download updated as advised by Polaroid to fix the problem. Expensive mistake/very disappointed owner!

Got it today! It was exiting moment when I opened a box , took out a camera ,loaded a photo paper, inserted a memory card, took a picture and a magic happened just before my eyes! No dark room ,no developing tank with film, no photo magnifier, no trays with a chemical solution ,you got a photo in 1 min ,and a digital copy on memory card, what does this camera a photo studio-in-pocket! I absolutely love it!

Better polaroid than most! Its a good size, prints nicely, the photos can come with the classic white border or not, and the photos when peeled off are stickers which is great! The best part about this is that you can put an SD card and save your snap shots. Over all a worth while purchase.

Visually it’s a cute camera, but the paper feed constantly jams. It only seems to print properly 50% of the time which is not what I expect of a camera of this cost and brand. I really like it I just wish it worked properly. And I’m using the Zink photo paper that you’re supposed to. I chose this over the Fuji because the fuji takes batteries whereas this one is rechargeable, but my advice would be to try the Fuji instead.

Bought this for my 7 year old who is besotted by instant print cameras. So here are my honest unbiased views.

Pros – Nice colours (camera), known brand, relatively cheaper to buy then other competitors, photobooth feature (4 snaps in one)

Cons – Cheap flimsy plastic, rear printer loading door does not shut properly and leaves a gap, could not load more than 5 blank photos.,controls are fiddly, you cannot help but end up pressing one of the buttons by mistake and waste an expensive snap, no instructions included with packaging, no clear illustration of what each button does had to look up a Youtube video, camera start up and delay button is the same so you end up taking pictures which are delayed, photobooth operation not explained anywhere and you end using a few films trying to figure out how to snap the 4 images, expensive film roles.
overall a very frustrating experience and that was not just for my 7 year old. I would have expected much more from Polaroid who championed these retro cameras in the 80’s. I have now ordered the competitors offering and see what that does.

This is a very pretty product, but unfortunately I do not like the quality of the pictures at all. Because of the type of printer it uses, the quality honestly reminds me of those Gameboy cameras/printers from 20 years ago. Sometimes very blurry, with poor colours. It’s not the worst, as my girlfriend took some pretty nice pictures with it, but there’s also been a ton of really ugly pictures that don’t capture light as well as a fujifilm. I do appreciate the different photo modes and the sturdy feel of the camera itself.
