This came with enough ‘marshmallow’ clay to make 2 imprints. Make sure your baby’s hand/foot is clean (and lint free, esp if they’ve been wearing socks) because any lint will show up on the white clay. You do have to press quite hard on the baby’s hand/foot to get a good impression (which I probably wouldn’t recommend doing on a newborn – I used this on my 7 month old and he had no complaints). This product is forgiving so you can restart if you mess up a bit. The biggest con about this product is the smell – I used my hands to knead the clay before rolling it out, and I could smell the clay for a long time after, despite multiple hand washings.

This was great. Super easy to use and the material isn’t heavy or delicate when dry. I made a handprint ornament with my 5 month daughter and it turned out nicely. I bought two other kits to make gifts for the grandparents.

This is garbage and I should get my money back. The clay does not hold shape and when I got it it was hard and crappy. I tried to knead it but to no avail. Brutal too because I needed to get it to my sister for a birthday gift but was terribly disappointed.

Bought a few of these to make gifts for my family after the birth of a first grandchild.
Pros
*Easy to use
*No mess
*Kit Provides all items required including ribbon to make ornament.
*Able to remould and redo if mistakes made.
*Very light material so would not pull at tree.
Cons
*Drys very soft which I feel could become squished and loose imprint when stored.
Personally would prefer an old style plaster of Paris for this use.

Given it cost me £7 I was expecting enough clay for more than one hand print. All you get is a cookie cutter type circle, a little bit of red ribbon and two small tubes. Not worth the money. The clay it’s self wasn’t great. Although it is non toxic, it shrinks quite a bit when drying.
Such a shame.

You have to push the baby’s hand/foot really hard for a good imprint. I wasn’t willing to make my baby cry over this so we got a really rubbish result 👎. Also the cutter is so big the imprint would have been lost so we used our own.

I really like these. We made some homemade ornaments but they were so fragile they were pointless. This ornament weighs less and is clearly more durable. I want my son’s footprint to last so this product is more than worth the money.

I ordered two to do my baby’s foot and hand prints. I was never able to kneed the material into the proper consistency. It never went smooth nor held a print. I wasn’t even able to cut it or punch a hole in it. It was a total waste of money and I wish I had try to do the impressions before the return date ended.

Je suis déçue pour cette commande précisément car le produit d’argile était déjà figé. Je n’ai pas pu faire les empruntes de mon bébé à la date prévue. Par contre, à mon premier enfant, j’avais le même produit et j’étais satisfaite. Je ne peux le retourner car j’ai dépassée le 30 jours. Il fallait tout de même que j’attende l’arrivée de bébé! 😕
