I bought this strap for myself and my boyfriend. They are very well made with nice details. The strap is soft and comfortable to have on your wrist for long periods of time, and it never gets in the way when shooting. It’s more expensive than other wrist straps, but after using it I feel it’s the best design. I love that I can easily release the anchor and throw my camera in my bag and leave the strap on my wrist. (My one criticism would be that when in the ‘bracelet’ position it’s big for even an average women’s wrist but I can deal with that.) We’re both really looking forward to using these for street shooting in Europe.

Bought this because it came to me that I was keeping mostly my camera in hand, without the strap. This did the trick so that I feel the camera is somewhat safe. I will probably get the slide so that I can manage to easily go from a strap to the in-hand cuff. The cuff, when not used with camera can be kept on arm like a bracelet and it doesn’t feel obtrusive at all and feels great.

An interesting design that works well; lots of thought has gone into this.

BUT there is a major difficulty for those with a Fuji X-T2 camera and similar ones that have tiny eyelets for the attachment straps to thread through. The eyelets are too small to thread the strap through!

Apparently, Peak Design recognised this a while back and issued much thinner attachment cords for Fuji and similar cameras. However, after a while the thinner cords wore through, and so Peak Design reverted to the older thicker, stronger, ones. In fact, they will apparently replace any of the thinner ones out there.

So, back to the Fuji problem, that you have to thread the thick double cord through the tiny eyelet. Well, after driving myself half mad trying to do this, I discovered there is a way – though it does mean a small modification to your camera.

Inside each of the two strap attachment eyelets is a tiny stainless steel sleeve, which you would never notice unless you look for it. You need to push one of those sleeves out to get more space to thread the cords through. You need some kind of implement to do this, something that just covers the end of the tiny sleeve, but goes through the cast magnesium eyelet surrounding the sleeve. One thing that does this, is the closed end of the pliers on a Leatherman (wonderful tool, everyone should have one).

Put the pliers end against the sleeve and push HARD – and the sleeve will come out through the outer metal. Of course, keep it carefully (I put mine in sticky tape and then in the Peak Design Cuff box) as if you need to, you can easily enough push it back in.

Now, using something like a doubled-up length of dental floss looped through the attachment cord to pull with, you can quite easily get the cords through the wider eyelet, and there you are.

Worth the effort, because this Cuff lies neatly against the side of the camera in use, and the attachment is not in the way when you detach the Cuff. Ideal for when you want to use a tripod – simply unclip the Cuff and leave it, as they suggest, as a bracelet round your wrist (sounds stupid, but actually works quite well).

I hope that the whole Cuff arrangement will last a decent time, as it costs quite a lot, but it all feels good and a bit luxurious, which makes it a nice treat for oneself. Rather like anything to do with cameras is a treat!

I’d been watching videos from photographers and videographers and I kept seeing that little red attachment anchor hanging from the side of their gear, but seldom was anything attached. I was intrigued because in my head, I imagined exactly what it was, and I hoped they had a wrist strap version… and they do!!

I used to have a hand strap for my old DSLR, but it was a pain to get on and off, and needed its own attachment plate on the bottom of the camera. The Peak Design wrist strap is much easier to use, and the self-adjusting slider is genius.

I have personally only attached one anchor point to my camera, as I don’t need one on each side for a neck strap, so I’ve put the other anchor on my camera bag so I can put the wrist strap on my hand, detach it from the bag, and clip it to the camera anchor before pulling the camera out so I know it’s safe from the start.

I recorded a video and pictures. But it won’t appear when I look for these picture on my gallery. Anyway, the way this was designer was very creative because it can stay on your wrist when not in used. There’s no need to switch your hand gear but to just attach the stringed part to your wrist. It comes with 2 attachable strings and for me, i can switch to camera without struggle. Just click and lock and that’s been proven on their website to handle a person hanging on it… without that strap breaking or these attachables breaking off. I highly recommend for wasy to use, comfortability, easy assscesiblity, sturdiness.

I really like Peak Design gear. I now own a Slide and two of these Cuffs, one for me and the other for my Wife to attach to our DSLRs. I really like the quick release anchors which stay on the camera so other PD straps can be fitted and removed easily. My Wife’s Cuff is perfect for her but mine wasn’t until I modified it. I haven’t got particularly large wrists but I find that if I let my camera hang from the Cuff, the “Auto Cinch” feature tightened uncomfortably on my wrist and I had to use my other hand to release it, which isn’t easy. Huge kudos to Peak Design though when I contacted them about this issue. I sent photographs etc. to show what I meant and they even sent me a replacement. Unfortunately however I don’t think the issue has been resolved. For people with small wrists there won’t be a problem as the Cuff is stopped from tightening up when the (depending on which version you have) leather or synthetic panel meets the metal buckle. To cure this I asked my Wife to run a row of stitches with her sewing machine across the strap to prevent it from over-tightening. This has cured the problem for me and the Cuff is now a pleasure to use. I think if Peak Design added an adjustable clip to the Cuff it would suit people with different wrist sizes better.

I have the peak design leash, so I already knew how convenient the little detachable buckles are. If you are new to Peak design, I honestly do not know of a camera strap system that is better designed and more convenient to use. The this wrist strap is great. It’s comfortable, sleak design, and a life saver when doing a shoot.

The only con, and I likely just need to practice more, is loosening the strap with my less dominant hand. It can be a little tricky to get it off quickly. But this is a very small point when considering the mountain if positives. I will be a peak design customer for life.

I have owned many cameras and accessories over the years. None of my previous accessories have damaged a camera – until now. The Peak Design wrist strap is over-engineered. However, its worst feature is the metal clasp, which if left on the camera in a bag will scuff and scratch the camera body. This happened on my first outing with the camera.

Do yourself a favour and pick another strap – this one is badly designed and worse than junk.

Very impressed with the PD Cuff. I’ve been using it with a Canon EOS R with the RF 24-105 and EF 70-200 2.8 IS II lenses. The latter is quite hefty and the cuff has performed admirably well so far; it feels very sturdy as well as comfortable. It’s nice to have the extra security of a wrist strap especially since it’s not awkward to use. The PD snap attachments are also great. (This is my first experience with Peak Design products, but I’m already a fan!)

A bit pricey but well thought out and designed product. I’ve bought some other wrist straps for half the price for a couple of cameras but they certainly don’t match the features of this product.

First off, this strap is easy to attach or detach from my cameras. It can be done with one hand after some practice.
Secondly, the strap holds enough of it’s shape when fully opened up to make it possible to slide my hand into the loop single handedly.
Thirdly, it’s possible to detach the wrist strap from the camera and then wrap it in such a way as to become a bracelet on my wrist, ready to be instantly reattached to a camera. A small magnet in the strap (which can be shifted to suit your wrist size), captures the anchor end to make a compact loop around the wrist. This feature also makes a compact bundle for storing in a camera bag.
Nice materials with no rough edges to chafe the wrist during use, easy to tighten and loosen after use.

I’ll likely purchase another one in a different color.

Peak Design make some excellent products for the photographer and this is the 2nd one of these wrist straps I now own.

They are perfect with the Fujifilm X series CSC cameras. You can leave the strap attached to the camera, where its compact size lets it slip into the bag with the camera easily, or you can retain the strap on your wrist as a bracelet and simply unclip/reatttach the camera with the fast and secure anchor link system.

The strap feels like it will last a lifetime.

The only downside I have come upon, is that the metal strap adjustment slider could scratch the camera or a screen/lens if it came into forced contact or rubbed against it, but at least the metal looks great and will last forever.
