I’m really glad I swapped my cheap scale with this. Reading the reviews, it seemed like the best value scale, and it is! It’s much more precise than I’m used to. While some scales tell you the precision is 1g, a lot of them will skip a gram when adding little by little. This is not happening at all with Ozeri, as soon as you get over every single gram, it switches. If you take out a little and fall to .9, it will switch back. At last a true 1g precision machine.
I was also going to accept the fact that it looked rather cheap and a bit weird, but it actually looks better than expected!

Worked great. Loved it. That only lasted two weeks. It broke after two weeks and is now useless. I left a negative review since there was no way to return it. Seller contacted me and asked me to remove review and he would refund me . He explained how he switched manufacturers because of continuing issues with the scales sold. He seemed genuine. I removed the review 9 days ago. I’ve seen no refund despite contacting him twice. So now he gets this review again. Not only is it a defective product, but it comes from a seller who doesn’t hold up to his word.

Looked around for an accurate digital scale for use in the kitchen. Wife loved it upon first use as it did not give any troubles! The measurements appear to be accurate but we’re no professionals. Baking/cooking using the scale to measure the amounts made the resulting food as expected. Felt better after searching around for a while and looking at various branded items and seeing mixed results and coming to this decision.

Purchased this scale for both my kitchen and basic soap and bath product making. And I absolutely love it. It’s compact, but accurate. You can easily switch between lb, g, ml, and oz. It has a very easy Tare function that is equally useful when both soaping and baking a cake. Unlike a lot of other kitchen scales I’ve used, the batteries are easy to find (AAAs) and it even comes with two sets. One in the unit, and one spare set. Which means you don’t have to purchase replacements for ages after getting it.
I was also super happy last week when America’s Text Kitchen announced that it was their top pick (after their much much more expensive first pick of course). They noted all the points that I love about mine as pros even. So the Ozeri Pronto isn’t just my pick, it’s theirs too.
This is a fantastic little kitchen scale. Love it so much, I just bought a second so I can keep one exclusively for soaping, and one exclusively for cooking/baking. Highly recommended.

Super simple to use. Want to use 100g of chocolate chips? Turn the scale on with the power/TARE button. Press the ‘unit’ button until you get the method of measurement you want (lbs, oz, grams, ml, etc) then place your container (bowl or etc) on the scale. Press the power button again to reset the scale to zero weight to cancel out the weight of the container, then pour your chocolate chips in until it reaches the weight you wanted. Lovely and simple even for people who are terrible with electronics.

I bake bread at least once every two weeks, sometimes a little more frequently based on consumption, and always got at least a little bit frustrated with the difference in the size of the loaves and boules. We have limited space in our kitchen, due to the size of it as a whole, so we put off buying a kitchen scale. After baking bread the last time around I decided that it was time to look to see if a scale could be found that would be small enough for storage, while still offering functionality to measure the weights as precise as possible. I looked at a few of the different scales available on Amazon and was definitely not interested in getting one that relies on a watch battery and also wanted one that didn’t round the numbers up. This Ozeri Pronto has a small profile, uses two AAA batteries (which were included with the scale) and is precise within +/- 0.1%, based on the testing that another review for this product was able to determine.
This Ozeri Pronto food scale was used for making both English muffin and Black Canyon sourdough breads. The English muffin bread was broken in to two loaves and the Black Canyon bread was broken into six parts. This time around I made three loaves, using our new
Freshware CB-104RD 6-Cavity Mini Silicone Mold for Soap, Bread, Loaf, Muffin, Brownie, Cornbread, Cheesecake, Pudding, and More
and broke the other three into another six parts in total to bake with ham and cheese stuffed inside.
I noticed two aspects about this Ozeri food scale, which I don’t see as an actual issue, but thought I’d mention. The first is that when I was changing the bread and the tare weight was zero it turned off in less than two minutes, as it felt like it took me about 30 seconds, but could’ve been a minute, between removing the one dough and had to stop before the other was almost placed on the scale. Basically, you’ll want to make sure that any and/or all of the items that you plan on weighing are very much at the ready, otherwise you might need to turn it back on and set the tare up again. The other thing to note is that the ounces appear to change in increments of 0.03, which can make it almost impossible to get a truly precise measurement, but is still pretty close.
For the first time since baking homemade bread, all of the various loaves had basically the same pre-baked weight and came out looking approximately the same size too.
This Ozeri Pronto food scale works well and I look forward to using it for years to come. If you’re in the market for a food scale to use while baking, then this is a good scale to purchase.

The scale is very easy to use and so far seems to be accurate and consistent when weighing products I ABSOLUTELY know the weight of.
The only issue I had was the deck…which is stated to be and is pictures as Chrome is in fact PLASTIC….NOT METAL. Chrome is a metallic plating NOT A COLOR…so this is falsely advertised.
In the end, however, it seems to work well and aside from the possibility of being odor contaminated or stained on account of it’s being plastic rather than metal, it is OK.
The box it comes in is lined with a low-density foam which I continue to use to store it in as it keeps it both clean and safe.
Recommended.

I bake once a week. My last scale, which lasted close to 10 years, finally stopped working. It was replaced by this one. I have used it 8 times over the past two months. Now when I turn it on it starts registering as if there is weight on the scale. Over 30 seconds it will read anywhere from 3 to 16 grams! There is nothing on the scale! I have replaced the batteries, same results. It seemed to work great for 8 weeks, now it is useless. Very disappointed.

I’ve never had a kitchen/food scale before but since endeavouring to become healthier I thought I should get one so that I know for sure just how wrong I was with estimating food sizes… boy am I ever glad I did!! This little scale is exactly what I needed!! It’s perfect for measuring exact serving sizes. I found out exactly how much overestimating I’ve been doing and it’s made a huge difference in portion control. See the pics of the cheese to see what I mean… I’ve always easy overestimated but the pics show proper portion!! It’s simple to use and will tare with a quick touch of the button so that your measuring container is not included in the food weight. It quickly switches between measurements even while the food is still on the scale. It measures to the 100th decimal in oz, lbs, and will measure lbs with oz as well. It has grams, lbs, lbs.oz, oz, mls for measurements. It’s pretty (it looks chrome but is not metal) and it’s incredibly lightweight. That’s my only concern because I wonder how sturdy it is but I’m not measuring car parts or anything so it’s only a minor should mention. It sits on my counter as a reminder. I’m very satisfied with this purchase!!

Pros:
– Very impressed with the power efficiency. I’ve used the same pair of AAA batteries for over a year, meal prepping 2-3 hours every week. I remove the batteries after I finish measuring out everything for the week. The batteries to this day are still the same pair
– Lightweight
– Lets you subtract the weight of non-food items, like mixing bowls
– Can handle measuring a large amount of weight
Cons:
– It measures in oz by default and doesn’t remember unit preferences after removing the batteries. The scale goes back to measuring in oz whenever you take the batteries out. So if you like measuring in grams, you have to switch over from oz every time. Not a deal-breaker
– automatically shuts off faster than I would like, without remembering the weight of the items on the scale. Feels like it shuts off after 2-3 minutes (didn’t measure the exact time). So you have to run back and put your hand on it to update the scale from time to time to prevent it from turning off.

Really useful scales – sadly mainly used to check quantities of food on a diet! Good selection of units of weight and the usual tare function which zeroes the current ingredients to add more, quick to start. Also I’m pleased to see that it also displays minus weight if you zero the display and then remove contents – can be surprisingly useful once you know it’s there. I too was surprised to see the advice not to leave anything on the scales when not in use – not sure whether to take this seriously or not as it seems unlikely to cause damage but just in case . . .
