Reason for Buying These Winter Boots? NEWS FLASH, IT SNOWS IN CANADA!!! (At least in Ontario). And the work I do, requires to walk in and out a lot. So definitely my expectations is something that keeps my feet warm, dry and comfortable for everyday use.
Throughout Past Years, I’ve bought Winter Boots from the Usual Big Box Stores, and Outdoor Specialty Stores. Due to the Pandemic, this is the one year where I bought from Amazon. My Last 2 Winter Boots I had were from Cougar $149 and Sketchers Hiking Winters $100. To my disappointment, the Cougars were the most expensive, they were heavy and not as comfortable, and they only less than 1 winter before the sole fall apart. Tried going to a shoe repair store to get it fixed, but 2 more months, it fell apart again.
The Sketcher’s (my last pair) faired much better. They Lasted 2 Winters, very comfortable and light weight, but they are not as warm and not as waterproof as expected.
This year bought these NORTIV 8 from Amazon for $75, as I’ve seen lots of review but still skeptical since I have never heard of this brand. What my impression? Definitely Exceeded most of my Expectations.
Pros:
– I wear size 8.5 and fits perfectly even with thick winter socks
– They Feel very Sturdy
– These Boots kept my feet dry and warm under 15 cm deep of snow and 2 hours outdoors.
– Great Ankle Support
– Great Traction on Ice and Snow
Cons
– The Shoe Laces Keeps Slipping Apart
– A little on the Heavier Side
– When coming back inside, be more careful of tile floor surface the soles are extremely slippery on the tile surfaces when wet. Which is not good when the boot’s feature is (“Slip Resistant”)
Overall, I would say not bad for $75 given the fact I didn’t try before I buy. Even though, they are not slam dunk perfect, it had performed adequately at that price point. Only thing I do find it weird as it has amazing winter snow and ice traction but once enter back indoors, the boots feels more slippery on normal tile surface.

Fit perfectly, very comfortable. Don’t plan on hiking right away but once broken in these are excellent hikers, excellent value.
Update, after wearing them at work for a winter I have put them through snow, mud, puddles and a variety of surfaces. The boots remain incredibly comfortable and warm and show no signs of wear at all. I am amazed at how rugged they are for the money. I will definitely be buying these again. But for now the once I have still looking feel like new.

I tried a very expensive ($250+) pair of Columbia boots that did not fit well and tried these in desparation. To my surprise they are more comfortable, waterproof and aesthetically pleasing than I ever expected – especially for ca. $60 CDN!
I normally wear a 14 2E but these were not available in extra-wide, which is another reason I was glad for the “free returns” option but thought I’d try them based on reviews that said they were extra roomy. I can vouch that they are. Oh yes, one more point, they’re very light and comfortable for a snow boot.
I’ve been wearing these in snow and cold – with lightweight merino wool socks – for the last month and I’m very pleased (can you tell?).

For the price, these boots are great. I researched a lot of walking boots and was planning on spending a lot more then the price of these. But the reviews always mention that boots leak eventually so I figured just buy a cheap pair and replace when needed! These are worn every day for walks in the woods for a couple of hours at a time. I’ve walked in snow, frosty mornings and not tripped or skidded at all. I’ve walked in very wet weather and through lots of puddles and mud and not once have they leaked. They are comfortable too. I will definitely be buying a new pair when needed.

Nice looking boot but thats as far as it goes there is a seam on the inside of the boot at the back of your ankles that cuts in. I have had mine for a couple of months and worn them twice a day for about an hour and they have already split and let water in in my opinion they are not worth the money and are not a good walking boot

I’ve been wearing them walking to work and back this winter(7kms/5 days) for the past 2 months or so. They are good boots but a little hard on the feet to break in at first.
Today i did get a blister and upon looking at the inside of the back part of the boot i realized the fabric had a hole and there is NO PADDING IN THE BACK of the boot by the heel at all!! Also the laces did fall apart but the provided new ones with the boots.
They ARE very waterproof, I’ve stepped in 6 inch puddles. exterior looks like new still besides the normal break in indents from bending in the front.

Basically I live in Ontario Canada where it is ice and snow 4-6 months of the year straight. I have expensive timberland winter boots and some Skechers boots which were around $80. No matter what I do to rinse them off the salt eats them up and they get horrible white stains on them. So I wanted a pair of hardy winter boots with a rubberized sole. I also didn’t want to pay more than $80 because these are getting worn on icy walks to the grocery store specially to wade through salty brown slush and various winter/spring gunk.
So I got these boots saying if they were plastic discount store specials they were going right back to Amazon. I can happily report they look exactly like the photo and seem well made to specs of brands that sell for twice and three times the price. These aren’t cheap sub-walmart discount boots they are timberland/sorel quality on examination. Great buy if you’re Canadian but they clearly say made in China, sorry. Hey it gets cold there too.
EDIT: big snowstorm today so I got my first chance to wear the boots – no issues, not too bulky seems waterproof, comfy and warm. Shaping up nice considering what others have said. Any major updates I will let you know

Hate to give a bad review but these boots are crap. The leather is already peeling and they’ve barely been used. Also the grips are quick wearing. I know they are cheap, but if you can I would buy another brand.

Really pleased with the boots, wasn’t expecting a great deal for the price, but very comfortable and ideal for what I wanted which is walking the dog over wet and muddy ground, not sure if they are up to climbing Everest, but for my needs ideal and great value, they fit great, I am a 6.5 UK so boots are not always easy to get.

Needed a waterproof boot for a short trip to Iceland, these boots were perfect, comfy, warm, good quality, excellent value.
