This tripod was delivered by Amazon on time, the tripod is very good, and very stable, and like it very much, i only gave it 4 stars as the down side of this tripod, is the tripod head, the head is very jerky, and makes a creaking noise when moved in any direction, even with the tension screws are undone, i have a more expensive tripod with a ball head, i have fitted the ball head onto this tripod, as i needed a tripod that folds up quickly, whereas my expensive tripod does not fold down quickly, as i am videoing my nephews wedding in June, if the tripod had a better head, i would have given it 5 stars, the legs lock into place very securely, has a locking ring ring on the centre pole, to stop the tripod collapsing, the legs are very stable and the tripod does not rock, has a hook on the centre pole to add a weight, to make the tripod stable in windy weather, also has a spirit level on the tripod to make sure it is level, when legs are fully extended the tripod is very high, found it better when the lower legs are not fully extended, unless you are over 6ft tall, so come on Neewer sort out these tripod heads, and make this tripod a best buy. Update on this review, Neewer state they want to offer 100% satisfaction, having been in touch with Neewer, they were concerned about my concerns over the jerky head, i explained to them i stripped the head to lubricate the head to give a smooth operation, they responded to say they will replace the product within 7 days with no return of the old one, so to me they do care about customer satisfaction, which is rare these days, so on that point i have increased rating to 5* this is a company worthy of 5* for product quality and customer satisfaction, if you want to buy from a quality company, that care`s about it`s customers, then this is the one, i would recommend this company / supplier 110%

The thread that attaches to the ball head is just pushed in the top of the tripod.
Yesterday we lost one of our cameras because of this horrible design, a $6,000 camera
Why the hell would something like this be designed in such a poor way.
Avoid if you like your equipment working

Its on the cheap side but looks and feels great, I don’t use it for anything too demanding so its perfectly suited for my needs, I mostly use it for my YouTube channel but I have used it on a few hikes and it handled itself perfectly.

Bought as a present for my wife. I was able to track the shipping on a daily basis. It arrived on the exact date that it was expected. The frame is extremely light, extends with no issues and is perfect for my wife’s camera. Fantastic product and so far the company has lived up to expectations. Even came with a carry case that I did not see advertised on add. Recommended.

I always like Neewer products they off that fine line between value and quality.

I already had 2 x carbon fibre Manfrotto Travel Tripods but needed a few more functions so here goes

    The Good points

    Very small lightweight
As TALL as a NORMAL Tripod (this point really is a big one for me as normal Travel Tripods don’t go that high
Has a small pan bar (great for add a lanc zoom demand controller to)
Has a build in Monopod!! ( it’s only a basic one BUT mega bonus)
    Has a Weight hook
Even has a spirt level (mega)
    It looks really stylish
    Fits easily into a suitcase

    Less than good points
A lot of the parts are plastic (the main frame is metal)
It mainly ideal for more static interviews / conference filming etc (where you can carry two of these as a one person operation)
I always look after my gear so I’m not expecting trouble but I doubt some of the parts would take a lot of bashing (I just don’t know at this point)

    To Sum Up
The is no doubt my VERY expensive Manfrotto 2 x Travel tripods (Carbon Fibre) are more sturdy BUT they are not anywhere near as high in height and have none of the frills these Neewer Tripods and the Neewer are a quarter of the price)

I have used all features of this tripod and it works very well. It feels sturdy and well made. I like the height you can get from it. I have used it for video and still pictures and it has been very good. The only complaint I have is the quick attachment, it is a pain if you are switching cameras. It works great if you only have 1 camera, then it is quick and stable I would recommend this product.

I love my new tripod. Works very good. To install your camera on it you need to take off the plate, screw it on the camera with the screw under the plate and then secure the plate on the tripod. Comes with a nice bag to carry it.

This is a higher quality stand that allows you to mount heavy cameras or binoculars without worrying about stability. I’ve mounted heavy Skymasters (25 x 100) which as you can see are large. You might want to purchase a large base screw (see my other reviews) that is longer for added stability. I’ve purchased other Neewer stands before and they offer very good quality at an affordable price. If you found this review helpful, please click and let me know! Thanks.

    grazie

Love the way the legs clamp tight and the different positions you can move the camera when on the tripod. The tripod is light but solidly built and the red color looks very cool. After using it a couple of times I would recommend it to anyone into photography . Works great, light weight and looks cool. One more thing, excellent price and received it in just two days.

I rarely use a Tripod, so rarely that I could not find my old one for a shoot coming up the next day.

I ordered this Neewer tripod as it was cheap, tall (back injury) and had a removable monopod.

Keeping it brief, The tripod is great. It is small, when folded, but has 4 sections to extend to 6 feet or so. Most of the parts are made of aluminium but there are inevitably some plastic parts to keep the weight/ cost down but the plastic bits seem OK in terms of quality.

Would I take this tripod across a mountain – no.
Would I use it for portraits, interiors etc – yep.
Also comes with a handy case which seems OK.
Summary: Good value for a versatile tripod.

I had purchased a tripod similar to this about 25 years ago (different brand). It was my first tripod and although I’m not a full time photographer I was amazed at how long it lasted for the price I payed. My main tripod is a Manfrotto and too heavy for travel. On a recent trip to Florida my older travel tripod finally broke in my suitcase so I needed another travel tripod and hoped this one would fit the bill. For me it was down to spending $300 on a 2lb Sirui T-024X at Bestbuy or $59 on this 4 pounder. This one appealed to me because it came with the monopod, the height was 70″ and the extra $$ for the Sirui just didn’t seem worth it. I was surprised by the quality of what you get for just $59, especially with a carry case included. This is a solid tripod, not flimsy at all. My previous unit had a crank up to extend the center column but I like this quick pull-up/ easy lock column much better. If you pull it all the way out it converts to an excellent monopod which also seems very solidly built. The 360 degree panning on this unit is much smoother on this unit than that of my older tripod so I have much better control – even better control than on my Manfrotto tripod with ball head but maybe because I’m just use to working with a similar tripod in the past. Nevertheless, I think anyone would find the pan control on this tripod to be quite easy and smooth, especially for sport action shots or video. I also like the foam grip on each of the 3 legs – Surui only does 2 legs. The leg locks are also solid feeling and don’t seem like they would break without significant abuse. The feet appear to be well made and aren’t too stiff – don’t need to be twisted towards the floor like my old tripod. Before I ordered this unit I expected I would rate this as a 4 out of 5 star but I cannot give this any less than a perfect 5 stars for the money paid. If you are a professional, full-time photographer and use your tripod on a lot of long distance trips or even daily for years on end you’ll want to consider expanding your budget for something higher end/ higher tech but if you’re an evening and weekend photographer like me or just looking for a backup tripod to have in the car you can’t beat this one for the price!
