Received pen looked great. Liked the fact I could adjust temp to suite filament.
Started using only :30 min in tip pluggged
Followed directions but could not clear. Contacted maker told tip not available in Canada. Was told he could sent me invoice, really. 1/2 hr use, no parts in Canada no warranty, wow. Checked online part price 9 US plus 20 shipping almost 32 Cdn.
    Disappointed
( note I am not a novice to 3d printing world)
Managed to clear after 2 hrs but unfortunately plugged 25 min later when cheap supplied filament broke inside unit
    Back it goes

Tip melted right away. The line was properly fed and the only support I can get will not accept my Canadian number and to have it sent back is a major problem printing it all out have never had to go through that.. I’m extremely disappointed!

Got this for my 12 yr old for Christmas and she loves it.
Spent most of Christmas Day making 3D Pokémon.
Was easy enough for her to use on her own.
Also accommodates most filament so it’s not brand specific

I use mine to repair 3D prints off my Ender-3, so I need it to work with the same filament that I have used to make the original print. I bought this pen specifically because it said it would work with any filament type, while competing pens did not make that claim. Although there is no guidance re: what temperatures to use with any filaments except PLA and ABS, I find that PETG and TPU also both work with this pen at the ABS printing temperatures. The variable speed helps a little, but it is difficult to do “fine” work with this pen because it extrudes for a while longer after you stop the motor. I have no experience with any other 3D pen but I imagine this one is no worse than any other in this regard.

Upon a youtubers review I decided to bite the bullet and get this 3D pen. Yes there are cheaper ones but I’d rather buy it once. I’ve used it to make a name tag for a pet goat (no that’s not a typo) as well as to touch up some 3D prints that had blemishes or breaks. It prints easy, hasn’t jammed yet (a few months of use off and on) and it heats up quick! I’ve been using a bit of the included abs but also use it for PETG. Usually printing PETG at 190-210° depending on the application. Super easy to adjust temp in 1° increments and straight firwsrd forward feed and backward un feed buttons. Well worth the money for a first 3D pen (or even for a 2nd or 3rd!)

I bought it for my daughter to try to steer away from a basic pen she used before – that one has pretty expensive refills and now she is careful enough to work with this device. I think it is ok for the older kids but watch the end of the pen, it gets pretty hot (I am talking about that last black part, not the extruder tip, which is made of ceramic, by the way).

Had absolutely no problems loading my regular 1.75mm PLS filament into it. This is, in fact, the main point about getting one of these pens, if you have a 3d printer, you have plenty of filament left-overs!

So far I can name only one annoying problem. I tried to use the pen with a big power bank (20,000mAh). It is very convenient indeed but the pen has some sort of idle timeout of about two minutes. If you do not use it , I guess it goes to sleep or reduced power mode. My power bank detects it and shuts down. And there is no way to wake it up without removing the cable and plugging it back in. I guess this is more of the power bank problem, not the pen.

There’s many pros and only one fairly big con. Constantly extrudes filament making doing any kind of detail work hard as you always have to run a line on scrap then jump right into your project. I’ve tried different temps and methods to no avail and went back to the first one I bought. I liked the feel, the control of temps and speeds on this one tho, too bad for the price it won’t last. Maybe 6 months? Won’t purchase another based on price and life expectancy could by 2 cheaper pens and would last longer for this price
