Comes in a tiny box. I looked inside and it had the horizontal frame in two pieces. Easily screwed them together to form the bulk of the frame. Nice, long, solid self-tapping bolts to attach the frame to my wall. Unit came with a small level. It sat beautifully on the frame as I levelled it.
The two vertical pieces attached to the back of my Samsung Q80T television. There was a bag of different size washers and spacers to go between the television and the framing pieces. There were two size bolts to go into the television (4 each) but only one set was the correct size for the holes in my television. Only half the spacers worked with the correct size bolts. Had to try a few combinations until I found spaces that worked. One set was way too small. The bolts stuck out and I could not tighten things.
I was finally able to take the largest spacers plus the washers (had to pop out inserts in the washers to make them fit the bolts) to have enough spacers such that the bolts reached the television AND could be snugged down.
Once the vertical framing was on the back of the television, you just hook the top of the framing onto the horizontal frame on the wall. Then the bottom clicks into place.
To reach the connections at the back of the television, you can release the bottom clips, tilt the television bottom out and get your hand up the back of the television to reach the connection points.

Very easy to install, some tools that may come in handy: – Stud finder – Drill (pre-drill the holes before putting on the screws) – 1/2″ socket (do not use your impact gun, the wall mounting screws WILL snap since they’re not stainless steel) and if you use a screw driver, you risk stripping the head of the screw. – Level (check that your TV is level after the install, the one provided is too small to verify this, if you’re a picky person), if it’s not level, just adjust the mounts on the TV, NOT the wall mount itself. – Optional: 4 x E-Z drywall anchors (if you want additional strength) + star screw driver to install these
Keep in mind this mount is 2 pieces and not your traditional one piece. It does the job and for $30, it’s worth it.

(Well, I hung 3 more TVs in the house before so I am somewhat experienced). I of course didn’t need all the extra nuts and bolts for the job but I am sure to use them for something else. Thank you!

I bought this to hang a new 43″ tv. I had a little trouble picking the right screws and spacers to hang my particular tv as the mount came with every possible combination and size of screw you could need. That is a good thing, but wow, I had to try a lot. Other than that it was very easy. Bolt the mount to the wall, screw the attachment bars on to the back of the tv with the provided hardware and hang the tv on the mount. there are locking straps to keep the tv secure, although you can still move it side to side. To remove from the wall simply pull on the straps and tilt the tv up.

So when you spend this little on a product your expectations are not the highest. I knew my TV had a 400×400 mount and that it would fit but that this was also the max.
So I got out my stud finder, picked the studs I was going to used and got to work. First off, the instructions were decent. I mean, it is pretty obvious, drill 4 pilot holes and lag em in but it is nice that if someone has no skills they can use this. It also tells you everything down to the screw size.
It came with a very small level but I used my own for marking the studs which I recommend as the one they included was tiny.
I really like how the rails clip on to the mount and are quite secure. I honestly feel like I could hang off of this thing which is good because my 50 inch plasma is heavy.
Now the cons.
Even with the spacers, this thing is pretty close to the wall. If you have side ports on your TV or a recessed cable area you are OK. When I have the VGA port from my computer in it wont lock into the mount on one of the rails. You could cut a small hole in the wall but just keep in mind if your cables stick out far it’s going to be tough. You also have to remove the TV from the mount every time you change a cable, so get it ready with the cables in the back BEFORE you mount it to the wall. I put an extra HDMI cable in there and cable tied it in an area I can pull it down when I need it to not have to remove it later. (it is pretty easy to remove, pull the straps and lift.
Over all I give it 5 stars. You cant beat the price and it is secure. Just make sure you are aware how close to the wall it is. You could make your own spacer and go to a hardware store and get 4 longer machine screws for your TV if you were so inclined. A 1/2 inch would make a big difference for your cables.
