These hiking boots are awesome! Definitely worth the price! Lots of room inside the boot as well. I’m a size 7 and ordered a size 7, it fit perfectly. I wore these on 3-4 long hiking trips, my feet never got sore once and they stayed dry even after walking through lots of water and mud. I love these boots and would recommend them, you can’t beat the price either. I chose the black and purple ones. Very nice looking

Worn for the first time yesterday and was out in a lot of rain and walked through some long wet grass. Feet stayed dry and then walked through a very wet underground tunnel. Feet got a little damp so I would say not quite 100% waterproof but a big difference to wearing trainers. I did spray them with waterproofer before wear which I think helped I would buy again but for walking through a couple of inches of water maybe wellies would be better. UPDATE !!!!! today I walked through wet grass and ended up with 1 cold and soggy foot. THEY ARE NOT WATERPROOF. I am putting it down to maybe I did not dry my insoles out properly from last time. I have worn them 5 times but if it happens again I will send them back

I’ve been wearing these boots for 6 weeks now; around 2-3 times per week. I haven’t done any ‘heavy’ walking in them.
The fit is a little large, but adding more socks is not a problem. Comfort-wise, not the most comfortable boots I’ve had, but overall OK.
The main issue with them is that one of them has very quickly developed a hole in the side and also in another location on the edging is coming away from the body of the boot. The other boot has developed a large split down the back. The net result is a soggy foot. I had hoped that these would last me over the winter, but I’ve had to get another pair already. Needless to say, I will be avoiding Mountain Warehouse boots for the foreseeable future.

    ***updated review***
At first I loved these. Fit well and seemed to be waterproof. But after a few real, rainy hikes these shoes leak. A lot. Like my feet are soaked even without me sloshing through puddles. Just the rain alone will soak your feet. Also, the lining/insert became loose after only a few wears so every time I put them on since I have to fiddle with the insert. Plus, I’m not sure why, but pebbles always end up inside the boot. I think the ankle doesn’t close tight enough even with the extra lacing.

Dropped rating from 5 stars to 1 now that I’ve used them more. Waste of money. Buy the bigger name hikers. These aren’t worth it.

    ****original review****

Wouldn’t change a thing! I love these boots. They are extremely comfortable and roomy. They have option lace hooks in the upper/ankle area to make as tight or loose as you wish. They are cute too.

They do fit a little roomy but that is perfect because it gives room to wear thick socks. I wore these on a rainy, wet hike yesterday and my feet stayed nice and dry and warm! Highly recommended.

I bought these to go on a 7 day hike and needed waterproof boots with a good grip. These boots proved to have fantastic grip, I would step on muddy rocks/tree roots and still not fall when many of my friends did. I didn’t fall at all due to slipping.
They are somewhat water-resistant but some water does go through, especially if you have bad gaiters (like me) but that’s a different story. The boot itself will repeal mud almost completely. Water, on the other hand will go through after the first few times of coming in contact with the boots (not too much).
I was pretty careful the first day, really careful to what I stepped on, but by the end of day 2 I realized there was no going around the mud, sand and water involved, so I just went for it. I was pretty rough with the boots but they had my back along the way. I didn’t even get any blisters!
I love them! I am even thinking of getting a pair for my mom!

Bought these for my wife for our day long hikes. She found them to be quite comfortable and protected her ankles from rolling etc. The only issue she had was the fact that in some spots on our hikes we have a lot of rocky terrain, so sometimes she felt the rocks a little bit under the shoes but she didn’t find it to affect her hike at all. But if you are living in a area where the hike has a lot of sharp edgy rocks, then you may want to invest in a better pair. But overall this was a great value for the price, plus we got it cheaper with a coupon.

I didn’t actually think I’d get good hiking boots by ordering them on amazon.ca but it is so easy to do free returns on amazon AND the parcels are delivered right to my door so I don’t see any need to ever shop in a mall again! I have bunions and my feet are wide but in reading the reviews I saw that they fit slightly large. Usually to compensate for my wide feet, I have to buy a 6.5 or 7 and that isn’t satisfactory at all. These just arrived and I’m thrilled! My orthotics fit in them perfectly and they fit my feet with orthotics and my good hiking socks perfectly and are comfortable to boot! I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Very Pleased Brenda!

These boots were purchased for my wife in May 2020. She has used them for leisure walking on average about 3 miles since then. They were comfortable to begin with but by August the laces completely deteriorated and had to be replaced, and the soles started to disintegrate. Walking over stoney ground was painful and the sole had become soft and would fall apart to the touch. As you can see there are holes in both shoes under the heels in the same place. For 4 1/2 months wear, this is totally unacceptable. They are not good value at all. I can’t find a way to contact the seller other than this review but I believe I should have my money back.

I got these in end of january and they have been worn a hand full of times over febuary and march! Ive had to repalce the lasses with in the 1st month and now today i notice the material has all ripped from the sole! I was expecting these to last me until the end of summer not 8weeks! I wouldnt recommend and i defo wouldny be buying again! I use them to walk the dogs in and the sole of the shoes are still really good and could prob last but the upper material is rubbish!

These boots are warm and comfy to wear and they look nice!

I don’t like to leave a bad review and would prefer to talk to the seller directly but there does not appear to be an option for this. I purchased as a gift and literally in 4weeks of use the laces have fallen to bits and the sole have worn so badly they are letting in water! I have requested a return/refund but as these have been worn I’m assuming this will not fill the criteria for the return? Is it normal for a pair of walking boots to degrade this quickly? I feel for what I’ve paid this does not seem right at all, I also went with your brand as I thought you offered a quality product. I would appreciate some feedback. Thanks

Not comfortable at all. Soles have no padding at all. It’s like there isnt a sole or any shape to the shoe. Would be better with an inserted insole. More padding in tongue of shoe Haha cheap pair of boots I use around the house for house work. Would not use on a real hike or long walk. Laces began to break through first layer after a couple uses. Not impressed with the quality at all…they are light Haha but to me just a crappy pair of boots to do yard work in I dont care what happens to. Wouldn’t purchase again. Liked the variety of colours they had to choose from Haha

I’m very disappointed with my purchase. I originally thought these were nice, comfy shoes. I replaced the inserts (I always do) and had selected thicker ones than the original ones. To no avail, the soles are too thin ! You will feel every pebble under your feet like it’s in the shoe…
I had accidentally stepped into a puddle and was satisfied to discover my feet were dry but after 3 weeks of using my shoes on the daily, on a rainy day, I discovered my feet were completely soaked through. It took 3 days to dry the shoes. Now I know I can’t use those for hiking anymore and they were brand new ! Shoes ought to last more than a month !

I have been asked to do a rating. It might be too early but I’ll tell what I’ve felt so far. I couldn’t wait to try my new hikers. I already made up my mind I would love them. First thing, my heel was moving up and down as I walked even though the length was just right. Secondly, I tried so hard to get the laces tight enough that I actually hurt my fingers doing so and still could not tighten them as much as needed. That might improve in time with use. As I walked, I could feel a lot of lumps and bumps on the field and through the woods. I have never felt them with my other hikers. I am keeping them, hoping to get used to them because I need a pair of hikers “now”. Although I walk for 2 hours everyday without tiring, I found my legs were beginning to feel weary just a few hundred feet from the beginning of my walk! It could be that they are just stiff as yet and will improve as the hikers become more flexible. The upside of them, the laces stayed tied and my feet stayed warm and dry even after 90 minutes in -6 C temperatures. I might keep these just for snowshoeing. Perhaps after a few more walks, I will get to love them .
