Fit a bit smaller than expected (we used the Moc size chart). So, our son will probably outgrow these faster than we would like! Moc is always great quality. We all wear them!

This is my sons 4th pair of shoes, we just keep going to the next size up when her grows out of the last one. Only time we had an issue was when we tried a different color. This color has always been reliable. The blue ones died his socks and feet and did not last.

I had these for almost exactly 3 months when I looked at the heel and realized it was almost completely rubbed through to the outer layer of the shoe. I did a chat with Merrell to see what the life of the shoe was (I wore them A LOT!) and was told I should report them as defective, which I did. There was some back and forth, but they agreed to replace the shoes and will send me the replacements as soon as I send them a picture proving I made the shoes unwearable. I have a hard time doing that since the defect doesn’t really affect the wearability. It seems like a significant waste, although I had expected to have to send them back. I had a similar interaction with Keen shoes a couple of years ago (a problem that didn’t really impact the shoe). When I asked them about it (granted in their store), they not only immediately accepted it as defective, they credited me the full price of the shoe, even though I had no receipt and was very up front that I had bought them at a significant discount. When I asked if they wanted the shoes back, they refused. Knowing the company, I would guess that is because they actually wanted the shoe to be used. I know that Merrell’s argument is that they don’t want somebody to be injured by a defective shoe, but come on! They are sending me a new pair and when those wear out in 3 months, I won’t be replacing them again.

I snagged these for my 4 year old son because his size happened to be oddly inexpensive and I’d heard a lot about them. Believe the hype. These are AMAZING. They’re comfortable and easy to put on and take off and rain-resistant and tough. My son calls them his ‘special shoes’ and didn’t even want to take them off to go to bed. If you’re on the fence about these, BUY THEM! You’ll be glad you did.

The best school shoe ever. Through all four seasons they hold up and look good. They wear like sneakers and no laces means no fuss. I have purchased them every year for the past four years. No complaints of all. Should be the official shoe of boyhood. Keeps feet dry as well in messy winter. Good traction. One pair lasts the whole time he is that size. I have never had to replace them because of wear and tear. Hope this helps. The shoe on the left is brand new for this year. The shoe on the right is after a year of every other day use. So you can see how well they hold up.

My sons tear through shoes like crazy. Especially now, as even those traditionally “trusted” and “high quality” shoe companies (I looking at you, Nike and Adidas!) produce utter garbage shoes, especially for kids. My boys will destroy a pair of Nike’s in a week, easily. We’ve learned that it’s so much more economical to spend more up front for shoes that will last longer, look better longer, and ultimately be better for my kids’ feet. A pair of Brooks might cost $100 give or take, but my sons are more likely to grow out of them than have the soles wear through or fall off. But it’s nice for the kids to have something that easily slips on an off, and that’s how I stumbled across these. I have Merrill hiking boots myself, and they are super sturdy and solid, so I thought I’d take my chances on these. So glad I did! My kids love them. They are super comfortable, solid, but not overly clunky or heavy. I can tell these puppies are going to last a long time. The color is quite nice, and the leather is high quality. I would even go so far as saying they could pass for dress shoes – seriously they are that attractive. And the price was definitely right! I’ll see how they hold up to the Seattle rain (we are still stuck at home, so these shoes aren’t getting a lot of muddy school field action right now) but so far so good. Highly recommend!

Great, comfortable shoes. This is the only shoe my son will wear. I tried to get him the Big Box special but he could feel the difference in quality and comfort instantly and insisted that he get the Jungle Moc.
I sprayed the shoes with silicone sealant for extra waterproofing protection.

Ordered one pair ended up paying and getting 2 pairs but I wear them for work so it’s no big deal I’ll end up using both pairs

My son has trouble tying shoes has sensory issues, so it’s very difficult to find shoes he’ll wear. We’re in the pacific northwest and now it’s colder and rainier, his runners were getting soaked (he won’t wear rain boots! These shoes keep his feet dry and warm, and he can put them on himself. Thinking of ordering a second pair.

I am a 65 year old woman who has been wearing boys shoes for years as my feet are short and wide. These fit perfectly and are warm and seem to wear better than woman’s shoes. Each year a new pair replaces the old pair which replace an older pair that get demoted to yard shoes.
Great plan and it works for me.

These are great for our young one who needed easy slip on shoes for school. They fit a bit big but are still comfortable enough for him to wear.

I ordered these shoes twice. Returned both and gave up.
The first time we went out to a physical store to measure my daughter’s feet on a MERRELL chart they supply to their distributors. According to Merrell’s measurement administered by a shoe professional, she was size 13. It arrived and it was waaaay too large. I then decided to use the cm measurement on the Size Chart provided by Merrell on Amazon. She measured 18cm precisely and fit Size 12. We bought. They arrived and were waaaay too large. I’m estimating she’s likely size 10. But as this is too much work to actually find out, I’m giving up.
They are very heavy too. So, may not lend themselves well for running as 5-6 yr olds typically do…
