These filters are great. They are made out of paper that is not bleached which is good and they drain the coffee well. Excellent for that one cup coffee maker.
I read some reviews that said these filters all seem to split along the seams causing the grounds to end up in the bottom of your cup. I have never had that happen over the 20 years or so that I have been using them. However, every time I use one I first fold over the side sealed edge, then the bottom sealed edge before I place it in the cone. I never did it because it might leak. I did it because it made a more positive fit into the cone. What ever the reason, my filters have never leaked.

I needed coffee filters asap. I don’t want to go out, I don’t want to add the price of delivery. I don’t want to put in a full order to make delivery service worth it. Yay Amazon, free and fast delivery. And a vendor asking for a tiny bit less than my usual store is asking right now. Done and Done. Recommend – because it also is a great product that’s unbleached and totally reliable. And this is a huge amount. Its going to take me awhile to use it all up!

I use these daily. I’m sick of cleaning French presses daily and I don’t like the pods and machines. I use a Melitta single serve plastic container put in this filter and pour boiling water over 4 TBSP. of finely ground coffee. The aroma that permeates my house beats any machine. My recipe is take one 20 Oz. Latte cup and filled it 1/3 full with coffee and add sweetener. I use stevia. Then add cold milk and fill to top. My goto pop my eyes open coffee every morning.

#2 cone filters
I decided to go back to pour-over coffee and I had been improvising with some basket filters that I happened to have on hand. The coffee was AMAZING, but I had to fiddle with the filters every time, to make them fit the plastic cone. I decided to get the correct cone filters, and oh my goodness the water flows through like there’s nothing there! The coffee had no time for the grounds to produce flavour in the water and it was TERRIBLE. I threw these out and will go back fiddling with the basket filters which gave a superior cup of coffee. I even tried doubling these up, and it didn’t help.

Regretful purchase. The seam has broken 3 times out of my first 10 cups of coffee, dumping coffee grounds into my cup. I don’t recommend the brown/natural version. It’s cheap compared to the good filters, but it’s awfully expensive garbage.

You get what you pay for, as the saying goes. These filters will go to my kids to use for drawing and painting on. I purchased these filters because the price was half the cost of my regular white paper filters. I’ve tried a dozen of these now and there is always coffee grinds in the cup … every cup! Never once had this problem with other brands of filters.
Not sure if there are holes in the filter paper or if the seams are just not properly sealed. Don’t waste your money, buy the other brand.

$.04 per filter plu the cost of a scoop of coffee is still a lot cheaper than buying coffee at Starbucks / Hortons, edpecially if you consider the cost of gas. II think they could be less expensive. I fold over both seams before using. I also pour some boiling water over the filter to lower any paper taste and pre-heat the mug. I’ve also used the Melitta filter in my glass Hario V60 and it worked. It’s a bit cheaper than the Hario V60 filter. I’m still experimenting but so far, think the glass Hario V60 with the Hario filter may have better flavor.
Overall this is a pretty good value for the price, similar to Walmart price, and I will likely buy again. I may try to find a small basket filter to experiment with, since they’re likely cheaper.

I’ve gone through 1 100 count box of the #2 cones and just opened a second box. Using this in a collapsible silicone pour over while camping and in a Hario V60 a home, about 1 in 10 of these will have a part of the seam which lets go, streaming grounds into the cup.

Most of the time it happens at the corner where two seams meet. When letting go at the corner, the hole is usually pretty small and the difference is just a few grounds in the cup. Sometimes the entire bottom seam lets go and dumps all the grounds and water into your cup.
Nothing sets the day off to a shit start quite like ruining your first cup of coffee.
