When I was assembling this unit it had a bad nut, so I could not finish the assembly. I Contacted support, after several back and forth, they finally sent the replacement part. They sent something completely different than what I needed. When I try to contact them to let them know about the wrong shipment they never respond. Now I have a half assembled unit…

I ordered this desk for my son since home schooling is the name of the game right now. It took a while to come, but that was to be expected. Once it did arrive I put it together and immediately noticed that the legs weren’t exactly the same length so no matter where I put it the desk would wobble. OK so that can be easily fixed with a little something under a leg or two. Then I let my 5 year old start using it. With light pressure from him writing with a pencil on a sheet of paper there are deep scratches in the surface of the desk. The wood and finish are way too soft. Then today my wife opened the top and the bar that holds it open got stuck. She tried to gently shut it and the screws that hold that to the underside of the top ripped right out. This is all in the first week or having the desk. It is cheaply made and definitely not built to last. I would look elsewhere if you need a child’s desk that you plan on actually using.

Solid little desk and chair. Nice aesthetics. Reminds me of the old school classroom desks. It was very easy to install and seems very sturdy.
The one and only drawback is that the top does not close down all the way. The hinge makes it hover about half a centimetre above the edges. My kids don’t seem to care and when they’re drawing (or whatever) and applying a bit of pressure on it then the top does close down and touch the edges, but it’s still a bit annoying.

for a young child to sit at. It’s very sturdy, doesn’t wobble. I put felt pads on the bottom so the chair wouldn’t scratch the floor. The top is a little soft, could use a desk pad/protector if your child has a heavy hand with a pencil. I think it’s pine. I’m sure it would easily outlast several children.

Bought for my 8 year old son who is a little on the taller side and he fits perfect. His room is on the smaller side so this was a perfect size it doesn’t take up much space. The fact that it lifts up and the hinge allows for your little one to get what they need and it doesn’t fall on their fingers is perfect. Solid wood and very very easy to put together. your little ones will enjoy this a lot.

We love this little desk and chair set! Since Quarantine started and dreadful homeschooling i wanted a small writing area for my son in our downstairs area where he could work on school work close by me while I am doing other household duties. This desk has turned out better than I expected.
It’s very sturdy and well made but light enough for me to easily move from room to room when I need too. All you need for assembly is a Philips screwdriver that is not included. The instructions were easy to read and the hardware was separated and labeled by steps. It took me about 30 minutes to put together.
The desk lifts up and he stores his small laptop and notebooks inside with pencils etc. this is nice because it keeps these things safe from are dog who loves to literally eat his homework.
The desk came very carefully packaged to keep it safe from damage during delivery. Melissa and Doug have always made quality products my family trust and affordable. Highly recommended product by a single busy mom.

I was looking for a replacement desk for my currently homeschooled, preschool age daughter. This desk is (almost) everything I wanted. I have superficial issues with it, absolutely nothing important to complain about it, because it really is a cute and sturdy desk. The size was as I expected, but as I went to put together all of the nice parts of this desk, there’s one area on the inside of the desk where you’re required to use a screw driver to attach the leg, but they made the desk so you can’t actually fit your average screw driver in there to turn the screw. Mildly annoying. I also may not have looked at the pictures right, but the hinge on the inside of the desk is almost in the middle of the desk so it’s not a nice open area inside the desk, it is divided by this large hinge, and I didn’t get an accurate idea of that reality in the pictures before I bought it. Also, only mildly annoying. Those two things are the only reasons it doesn’t have a full five stars, because those mildly annoying things aside, I love this desk, my daughter loves this desk and it was worth every penny.

Très facile à assembler. Très beau meuble. J’en ai acheter un pour chacun de mes garçons. Ils sont très contents, ils sont parfaitement à l’aise pour écrire, lire et surtout ils peuvent ranger leur cahiers et crayons quand ils ont terminé. Il y a beaucoup d’espace de rangement. C’est un article très bien pensé et adapté aux les enfants. Le bureau n’est pas trop petit et juste assez grand. Excellent rapport qualité-prix . Je suis très satisfaite.
