I decided to spend the extra money on a humidifier that is safer (auto shut off when water level too low), faster (reaches and maintains desired humidity faster) and more convenient (doesn’t need to be refilled as often and relatively easy to clean). Unfortunately this one doesn’t satisfy any of those requirements even though they are advertised. First I noticed It doesn’t affect the square footage as advertised (I have a tiny 500 sq ft condo) but I’m too busy to deal with a return so I gave up and aimed to at least have the baby room targeted but that doesn’t work either. It never goes above 40 even 16, 24, 72 hrs hours later, even though I’ve set it to 70. Fine. Then I noticed the water tank doesn’t last as long as advertised so I’m refilling this thing constantly and it is not fun when recovering from a complicated c section, but fine. Then I tried cleaning it out and let me tell you, it is a nightmare. I do not have time to wash and soak the million pieces but fine, I do it. Finally this morning I woke up to the smell of burning electronics- it didn’t auto shut off and that was the last straw. This is not worth the money at all. And I completely regret my purchase!!!!!!!!! I was fooled by the positive reviews but please BEWARE.

Last night i went intobmy daughters room and found it too humid so. I turned off the machine and went to bed. It was in the warm function so naturally one would think the steam still escaping is normal. We hadnt used the heat function many times because we had feared our children playing with the humidifier and getting burnt so this was a function we had only jist began using when my youngest caught a cold who is also asthmatic. Anyways my husband got up for work about five hours later and the water was compleyely gone from the machine but the motor was still going. The only reason he realized this was because he could smell burning and went looking for it. Do not trust this machine! And definitely not with your children!

Levoit does not sell their replacement consumables themselves. There is a pad that comes with this unit that prevents the white dust problem associated with ultrasonic humidifiers. These pad have a lifespan, and once they run out you have to replace them. So far no issue. Except in Canada there is no reseller who sells them, with the exception of one who is selling 10 pads for $35 … these things couldn’t cost more than $0.25 a piece. I contacted Levoit and asked where I could purchase the replacement pads, they sent me a link to the $35/10 “deal”. I informed them this was unacceptable and they offered to send me ONE pad for free, because of the inconvenience. The obviously do not care about their Canadian customers, so if you care about having a humidifier that does not distribute white dust all over your room, then look elsewhere.

I am hard to impress and this product scores big with me! I really can’t think on how to improve it. Super quiet, easy to operate, quality throughout. There’s nothing not to like. I could of spent less but have no buyer remorse at spending more and getting such a great appliance. Free sign up on extra years warranty if you do so within two weeks of purchase. So that’s a bonus. I love that it holds plenty of water, that it has dual adjustable 360 misters, electronics are flawless, the oil diffuser is a terrific. I liked it so much that I searched to see what else this company makes because clearly they know what they’re doing.

It stops at the set humidity level. But it won’t restart when it falls below. I guess it is a defective product. This is my second device. The first one was from another company and it didn’t even stop when it was supposed to. I am getting tired of looking for one that’s working.
Update:
This company is amazing. I did not even bother contacting the company for the issue as i was getting tired of finding one that works. I was going to contact amazon for return ticket later. Then, I received an email from this company offering a replacement unit before I even did anything. It is quite obvious that they care for their clients’ feedback and stand by their products. I have an air purifier by the same maker. I love it too. I receive the new unit a couple of days ago. I haven’t set it up yet. I just couldn’t wait to share my experience till then. I have been telling my friends about it now. superb customer service. just for that they get five stars from me. I will try to update again once it’s set up.
