This humidifier puts out a great mist – I have felt more comfortable after using it just a couple of days.
I have a concern that when it automatically shuts off there is still so much water left in the base – about 1 1/2 inches. Levoit said this was normal but it doesn’t seem right to me – too much.
Also it is difficult to remove the top from the base without a little water getting on the air thingy that says to keep dry.
It was a little annoying at first to have to turn the top upside down to fill but I have gotten used to it – not much of a problem.

this was smaller than I had anticipated, meaning i have to refill at least once a day when i used it to sleep for 7hr. and its not very quiet, You can literally hear the water noises, like bubbles or just a sound that water is being poured into a cup which doesn’t a help a light sleeper like myself. It would really help if the manufacturer included an option to fill the humidifier from the top. The current way to refill can get really messy

This product is super quiet and works really well. It is a little bit of a pain to refill. Not that easy to do. Makes a little bit of a mess.
Ok so here is an edit to the original post. The company contacted me and they sent me a top fill unit for free. Well I tell you what a difference it makes. So easy to fill and it is super quiet. You just open the top, grab a jug, fill it and boom good to go.

Upgraded to Levoit for my second humidifier … ability to control with 3 separate levels and automatic shutoff is ideal for my orchids… great quality… sale price was the deciding factor to upgrade… already had purchased the air cleaner so I knew the quality would be excellent.. highly recommend

Got this humidifier for my son’s nursery when it was on a prime deal. Very easy to use and to clean, as there aren’t too many nooks and crannies. I like the option for the nightlight (may use when baby is older) and the three different mist settings. It lasts all night and since its a cool mist, it doesn’t heat up the room (it helps to actually cool it a bit more – I find the room gets a bit hot due to the heater in the winter).
It’s a good size with a large tank. Setting one already provides a good amount of mist, and no noise at all. I have been using it for over a month already.

This was the second humidifier I purchased over the course of 2 weeks. I initially bought a taotronics one but it became noisy after a week. I selected this model to replace my loud humidifer because it is ETL certified. Things that aren’t make me a bit nervous and this ensures it is safe and meets a minimum quality standard. This unit has been quiet enough (save for the odd gurgle) to use in the bedroom at night. It may not look fancy, but it works quietly and well and that’s what really matters to my dry sinuses. I just wish I had remembered to clip the $10 off coupon when I purchased it. I also like that you can see how much water is in the tank which helps gauge consumption better and helps with refilling. I always use distilled water in my humidifiers as I have very hard water where I live and so far so good.

Used that for a few days and decided to return it to buy a better one.
This one is a noisy humidifier compare to other humidifier. Small so the water get drained fast. I don’t really like the design. I can’t think of any pros except that it has cheaper price compare to others.

Its a good product with few caveats. I do not mind putting water in but I did eventually find it a bit tedious..
You have to remove the tank, then fill it with water from the sink, then carry the whole tank to the unit and plop it in.
So, what is the issue? strange as it seems, there is something to be said of the design.
1. Tank shape: The shape of the tank you see is sort of half tear drop with elongated outlets on the bottom so once you fill this tank with water, you cannot rest it on any table because of the shape.. you have to carry it immediately to the base unit as it is the only thing that can support the tank. If you don’t think that is a hassle, do an actual usage a number of times and you’ll eventually understand the design problem and wish you could just rest it on any surface while you do something else with the sink or with the base unit. And yes because of the shape and heaviness once filled with water, it has to be carried with two hands.
2. Cleaning: The base layer can be easily cleaned, but the tank has restricted opening holes. So cleaning/scrubbing cannot really be done, the best you can do is soak the inside in bleach or vinegar. I don’t think any form of brush will reach every corner inside the tank because of the shape of the blow hole. So cleaning and drying everytime is always a must. Once algae forms inside, good luck getting it out. The only thing that will get rid of the algae biofilm is a good scrub which unfortunately might be impossible given the restricted opening. Soaking in bleach will kill organisms but always leave some biofilm residue stuck to the wall.. not to mention hard water stains.. and this is a transparent plastic so it will always be visible. You won’t have problems with the base though… just the tank.
3. The “silencer” plastic beneath the tank is held in place by a small piece of protruding plastic with notch measuring1x0.5×0.2cm. Given that the attachment point to the main tank is 0.2cmx1cm, at some point this will break off with repeated removing for cleaning.
4. The base part of the unit has a warning that it shouldn’t get wet.. well, guess what.. its almost impossible not to get it wet no matter how careful you are in removing the tank from the base. Should you remove the tank for a refill while a small amount of water is still inside…guess what, the base unit is still full of water. You have to move it with care as not to disturb the water or else it will spill everywhere. So care must be exercised when doing so near an outlet/plug/power supply.
5. Returning the tank to the base unit is not as simple as plopping it down.. you have to sort of align 3 protrusions to 3 holes for it to rest properly… its NOT difficult but at some point you would wonder why they didn’t design it in a simpler way as you have to sort of jiggle the tank down to locate the best fit for the 3 protrusions.
Overall its a very good unit with good mist output… just wondering why it has to be designed in a very complicated way that affects overall user convenience.. maybe even safety.
