These are firstmost “skinny jeans”. My already underweight son looks like a stick-figure in these. But that’s okay, as long as he likes them (he’s a pain about jeans). He wears a 12 slim and I was concerned these were only 12 Slim-Fit which in the world of kid’s clothes can mean anything. But yes, it has an adjustable waist on each side so I was able to ratchet it to slimmer in the waist.
The length is not overly generous with this growing boy. I doubt they will last through the school year (it’s almost November now) as he’s growing fast. But they will hold up well to pass on. I was mad at Levi’s for awhile, it seemed like their denim got cheap. So I went to Lee’s. But now we are back with this classic style.
The denim is heavy but smooth and drapes well. Dark with no fade. Classic.

I have a 10-year-old stepkid who can still wear his size 6 shorts and tees. He’s finally getting a little taller but is super duper lean. We FINALLY sized up to a size 8 this year but until then we’d been in size 7s. Levis slim fit performance jeans are the only ones he’ll wear because they’re actually slim and he likes the soft fabric that their performance line is made of. Even as big as size 8 the feature the sizeable elastic bands to shrink up the waist which helps for your slender kiddos. I’ve searched and searched for a durable, svelte denim with a standard boot/regular cut (not skinny jeans) and these are the best I’ve found.

These are so cute on my skinny little guy! Not many jeans I buy fit him. He’s the length of a 4 year old with the waist of a 3 year old. These run long and have the adjustable waist band so I can buy a 3t and they fit him perfectly. He doesn’t care for jeans much because they aren’t as comfortable as his other pants but these are soft and I can get him to wear them. Definitely recommend

Levi’s are just the cutest jeans on little boys, but “slim” is a relative word. The 511s are cute on regular sized boys, but if your little guy is truly slim, you’re going to need to buy the skinnies (510s).

We purchased size 20 for our tall, skinny teenager and the jeans are great: soft, stretchy, and comfortable. However, we wish that the actual measurements had been listed since size 20 is actually “Reg 30×30″ and we were expecting a smaller waist for a boys size (28″ or 29”). Another reviewer wrote that size 18 in these jeans is 29X29 so our long search for 28×30 and 28×32 jeans continues. Note that here is no internal belt in the larger sizes of these jeans so we are using a YYST Fashion Secrets Pants Hip Hugger Back Belt to keep these jeans from falling down.
