This scope has met my expectations for general purpose distance viewing. I researched many other scopes at higher prices and found that this scope was worth the chance. There’s not much information online about this company nor many reviews on this scope. Every scope on the market said the same things and listed the same parameters. Costs seemed to be more with well know names. I kept in mind that every brand name company had to start somewhere.
So I hope this review will get things started.

This was shipped to Canada with no surprise custom or duty costs. It arrived on time within a reasonable time frame. It was well packaged and had no defects upon opening.
The scope itself has a solid feeling if that makes sense. Not made of cheap material. All moving parts move smoothly and are tight enough to move in small increments but loose enough to make fine adjustments.
It comes with two (rubber) cap covers that are tight fitting which is great compared to other cheap plastic caps that never stay on.
Others have posted that the tripod is “cheap”. It is solid enough that I have no concern about it carrying the weight of the scope. I can see that if you were rough and pressed down on the tripod that it may deform a leg. I can’t imagine that this would happen with general use. The scope connects easily. The locking/adjustment function is smooth and does allow fine tweaking. Keep in mind that this is a table top tripod. It’s designed for laying / sitting on the ground with the scope or placing it on a hard surface like a picnic table. Of course the tripod isn’t mandatory for using the scope. The scopes weight can be managed by hand. Although long periods of time may give your forearms a workout.
There is a coated lens / anti fogging coating of some sort. I’ve been able to go from an warm inside temperature to outside Canadian winter with no fogging. I would not suggest doing this with any scope, camera or telescope if possible. Best practice, if you’re going from one extreme to another is to let your scope acclimated to the temperature you’re viewing in for an extended time before use.

Now let’s talk about the actual viewing and magnification. The scope has x 20 ,x40 & x60. Switching power is by turning a swivel at the eye piece. It turns smoothly. The focus swivel is easy to find while your eye is pressed to the lens. Again it turns smoothly. It’s hard to put into words how the viewing works or looks. See the attached photo. It speaks volumes. I viewed a communication tower at 2.5 km / 1.55 miles away and could count the rungs on the ladder of the tower. That being said, using the smart phone / camera adapter only increases the power. It’s great at this distance with the naked eye but I was amazed what was achieved with connecting my phone and zooming in with the camera. Check out my photo.

The smart phone adapter is made of plastic. It is sturdy. It’s easy to use and connects snuggly to the scope. My iPhone 10 with an OtterBox is heavy and very bulky in size. The adapter fits it with no problem. The adapter stays connected to the scope with no problem considering the weight.

A carrying case comes with the scope. It is a zipper close. It fits the scope, tripod and adapter with no problem. There’s room left if you needed at bring along some other small items.

My only suggestions for improvement or future attachments would be considering producing lens filters. There are no filters available through the supplier (that I could find or that customer service could offer me) There are third party filters available or YouTube videos to show you how to make your own.

I did contact customer service in reference to the above filters via email. My two exchanges with two separate people were not initially favourable in my opinion. I was contacted be a service representative named Alan shortly after. It appeared that the issue was simply due to a language barrier. Alan was able to speak to my questions and apologized for any miscommunications. This was absolutely satisfactory and resolved the issues. Subsequently, due to the company celebrating its 5 year anniversary I was sent a surprise thank you gift. I wish I could review this product as well. It met my expectations.

In the end I would obviously completely suggest purchasing this scope. I would not hesitate making other purchases of products through this company.

Very happy considering the price. Do not expect high end glass at this price and you won’t be disappointed. It functions well, focuses easily and the phone adapter works great. I have successfully recorded video of my target at 1000 meters firing range. Cannot see holes in paper target at that distance but I did not expect to. Can see hits on steel and dirt.

Excellent scope with good tripod and accessories. We’ve been using it primarily for astronomy and can see the rings on Saturn and Jupiter’s moons with no issues. Can’t wait to try deeper sky objects. Easily transportable and user friendly, this is the scope for us!

Just got this and tried it at dusk. For low light, it’s very sharp image! Very happy so far.

Can see pretty clear pretty far. See images.

    I compared this 20-60 X 80 Landove to a 20-60 X 80 Gosky and a smaller Celestron 12-36 X 60 and the Landove won handily for my needs.

The much lower priced, more portable Celestron delivered reasonably good sharp images which only degraded slightly at higher powers as did the Landove. However, the apparent image size of the Landove 20-60 X 80 (and the Gosky) at its lowest magnification at 20X actually seemed larger and of course clearer/sharper/brighter than the Celestron at it highest of 36X Mag. Also, the Tripod with the Celestron was terrible, almost worthless. You would have to aim way above what you are looking at and set the control knowing the scope would fall dramatically more before hopefully coming close to the image you want to view. This Celestron scope absolutely needs a better tripod as the table top tripod that comes with it is barely usable – especially when trying to adjust at a higher powers. The Landove Tripod was steady and worked well.

Also, the 20-60 X 80 Landove allows you to focus about 10 feet or so closer than the Celestron at near objects (about 20 Ft) and its tripod works well and locks in place well and does not keep vibrating at the slightest touch up and down like the fidgety tripod with the Gosky or fall like the Celestron tripod as mentioned. The Celestron is about 11″ long compared to the Landove and Gosky 20-60 X 80 at 17″.
The Landove seemed to also offer noticeably clearer optics than the Gosky 20-60 X 80 and has the best tripod of the three.

For the difference in price of about $50 more over the lower powered budget Celestron (remember you need to add at least $25 for a new table tripod with the Celestron) if the larger size is not a problem, I think the Landove 20-60 X 80 is a clear winner. So, for budget scopes, I strongly recommend that you spend the little bit of extra money and buy the more powerful Landove. Its hard to imagine a more expensive scope doing all that much better than the Landove for most uses. In all fairness to the often highly rated Gosky, I may have gotten a defective scope which is being send back as the magnification collar spun all around as if not connected properly and it did not focus as clearly as the Landove.

Of the three, the Landove is a recommended keeper. I am looking forward to trying some digital photography with the included cell phone adapter.

I wanted to find a good value spotting scope for long range shooting. Took a chance on the LANDOVE 20-60X80 BAK4 Prism Spotting Scope because it ticked all the right boxes for a really good price. After some googling I discovered the Landove is a brand of Gosky – I went with the Landove because the Amazon listing mentioned a lifetime warranty and lifetime return policy (but way cheaper than Vortex). Why would you pay $900 ? I can easily see .223 holes in white paper at 300 yards and should be able to see splatter target holes at 400 – maybe even at 500 yards. Will report back after I try. The phone attachment is neat but my phone has challenges focusing – the scope doesn’t. I highly recommend this scope !

This is my first scope so I don’t have much to compare it to but it seems great. I tested it out at some local wetlands to look for waterfowl. I was able to easily identify all the birds within a reasonable distance. It’s easy to use and super lightweight. Will update my review if my opinion changes with time. For now, I am quite happy.
