Purchased this product to use as an insert into my larger sized purse. Wanted a secure and easier way to bring my camera on vacation instead of lugging around a larger camera bag. Easily fit my older Nikon D3100, as well as my Instax Mini, with a bit more room too. When looking online, I thought the case was going to be slightly more sturdy than it was. HOWEVER, it is still a good case, with lots of padding. It should protect the items just fine. The drawstring top allows you to completely close the opening to prevent anything from slipping inside. (Esp if you use a purse like I am) It even came with removable dividers inside, so you can really make sure things are well protected.

I was looking around for DSLR messenger bags, however I noticed that most of them were fairly small and didn’t leave much room for things like laptops- and if they did, they were fairly pricey. I found picking up any bag of my choice and using this insert to add camera storage was far more economical and customizable. So far, I love it! It allows me to use my laptop bag as my camera bag, and let’s me change it up whenever I need to. It’s also nice to use as a cable organizer for when I don’t bring my camera around. It could be a little bigger though (I am using this for my Canon 80D with grip, and it’s a little tight with 2 lenses; one attached and one in a divided compartment), but this get’s the job done! I really like the drawstring feature too, that way I get added protection from the top. It’s also good to note that this whole insert is felt, just like the better dedicated camera bags (I noticed a lot of these inserts would be some sort of smooth acrylic with velcro strips, which I find not to be as protective and limiting to custom divider combinations). For the price and customizablility, I rate this 5 stars, but I wish they came out with a second larger option as well.

The insert does well enough to hold my XT2 and some lenses. I have also put my Wireless Pro HDD in there with some cables/extra battery. The Velcro for the divider works well but I think it is too well that it is quite annoying for me to set the divider.
It is a good solution as I did not want to buy a specific camera bag and just want to securely store camera equipment inside my hiking bag.

This fit nicely into a standard backpack (~26L) with plenty of space left over (change of clothes, snacks for kids/family, umbrellas, etc). I didn’t want to carry around a camera bag, along with my backpack with personal/family items, during our vacation, so this was perfect.
This drawstring closure held my Nikon D5100 with attached 18-105mm lens and had just enough space on the side for a 35mm lens. The padding around was enough to protect the camera from items within the bag. The padding is likely not enough to protect from an accidental drop to the ground.
If I were to carry more lenses, larger lenses, or more accessories, I’d look into a professional camera bag/backpack.
Mushrooms –
I don’t see this item protecting your gear from a hard fall. But if you are using it in a backpack and are careful enough not to throw it around then it is a great solution. Velcro dividers inside are useful to arrange the insert however you need to store your gear. Personally I have an (A6000 with Sigma 16mm lens attached + Some filters + Sony 18-135mm) in that configuration and it all fits well. I like that it can easily be moved from bag to bag depending on what you’re carrying that day. The convenience and versatility makes it worth it for me over a fixed camera bag for a hobbyist photographer.

Purchased to insert into a messanger bag, fits like a glove ! And it’s very soft and cushy.
Large enough for my canon 60D and one lens with room in the bag for other things (water bottle for scale in picture). The draw string will allow placing things on top. Very satisfied with this product !

I’m about to take off overseas and this insert is exactly what I was looking for to protect my little dslr. Fits my Sony alpha w/ Sigma 19mm and Sony 50mm lens PERFECTLY. Arranged all of the removable partitions so the camera is extra padded– fits nice and snug. This insert is more plush and sturdier than I was expecting. Overall, very happy with this purchase and looking forward to converting my leather purses into incognito camera bags!

Will easily hold a camera with lens attached and another lens or accessories. I chose to put the camera pointing lens down in the case, without the lens hood it worked but had to keep it off centre so the drawstring clamp wouldn’t be right over the camera screen. I packed it in the top of my bag and had easy access to the camera and the protection of a padded case to keep it separate from everything else in my bag.
