I ordered the 4T for my son who is very small for his age (at almost 4 he weighs 30 lbs). It fits him perfectly. I was disappointed that after wearing it only once the stitching on the sleeve unraveled. Fortunately I sew so I can fix it, bit it is still annoying.

Nice loose fit and not too tight spandex like a lot of swim shirts are. Good for sun protection. My son said its comfortable.

Bought a pair of these for my boys, both under age 10. They absolutely loved them and wore them for 5+ hours a day during our whole vacation. They prevented all sunburn on torsos for the trip. They are well made and we didn’t have any problems with loose threads or becoming misshapen.
Item to note: If using these at an ocean beach or lake beach, be aware that the white did quickly absorb stains from the beach sand and water. When we left after a couple weeks they were more of an off-white color.
Bottom line: Quality durable garment for the little ones. They did the job we bought them for. If you’re purchasing for use at the beach and discoloration bothers you, you may want to go with another option that isn’t white.

My son loves this top. He uses it to avoid having to put on sunscreen (we’re in Florida & we have a pool…so putting on sunscreen can get pretty old pretty quick). He also has an o’neill Rash guard which he likes, but it’s very heavy – this top is very thin & lightweight & breathable. It’s definitely not quite the same quality of material as the o’neill Top but that one I think is more for heavy duty ocean/surfing use. I doubt this top would work too well for something like boogie boarding/surfing regularly – it seems like it wouldn’t stand up to that kind of use too well – but for just plain old splashing around it’s perfect. My son even likes to wear it as just a regular shirt (the o’neill Top is too thick/heavy for that).

bought 2 my boys are 5 and 9. 5 year old got size 5 and fits perfectly. 9 year old boy is a little stocky got him the 10/12 and it is a great fit. You dont want it too baggy or loose because it is for the pool but it is not too tight either. Neck area is good as well so not irritating him. Highly recommend especially for the price
