Good fit, great price.
The Velcro on the strap is very poor quality and fails after 3 months: it simply won’t stick.
The local shoemaker charges more than the price of the show to replace the Velcro … so we just bought another pair to finish off the school year.
I wish the strip of Velcro was longer, wider or had a secondary fastening mechanism to hold it in place.

My 4yo is rough on everything. She has worn these shoes while on the playground at school, to church, and even climbing a tree. They have stood up to her constant abuse over the past few months. I thing these may be the first shoes to make it the full school year lol.

These are very cute shoes and I wish I could leave a positive review. Unfortunately, my daughter’s ankles were bloodied after wearing these for a few hours. The shoes curves inward around the Achilles tendon and caused a type of rug burn. The shoes are the correct size for her feet but the way it wraps around the heel/ankle/back, it creates a sort of lip that rubs against the skin. Otherwise, it’s a cute and solid shoe.

The shoes fit fine. However one shoe’s sole became loose after just one month. We tried fixing it with shoe glue but that only last about another month. Very frustrating.
Update: Hawkwells reached out to me after reading my review. They offered a replacement pair or a refund which I truly appreciated. I have been issued a refund and this is a first for me for kids’ shoes. So while the pair was defective I am changing my rating to one more star because of excellent customer service. I am likely to try them again!

Quite honestly I wasn’t expecting much from these cause of the price and the packaging looked kinda cheap…boy was i wrong!!… these shoes not only fit her perfectly and she was so happy I got them for her, they are as comfortable as comfort can get… the memory foam inside, feels like walking on the clouds! which relaxes her feet during school long hours. The soles look very durable and strong, she’s been wearing them now for a while and they are as good as new, just a few minor scratches but going to school everyday and also wearing them for other occasions as well, will cash a toll on any footwear, and these keep holding on beautifully. The seller recommends getting a bigger size cause they run small and I did just that and it worked perfectly. Another plus of these shoes is that they are great for school as well as any other occasion. Look beautiful with a dress too!!! So, the moral of the story:NEVER judge a book by its cover (or price!) Lol
PS: I just ordered a second pair for my little one that just started Pre-K!

The shoes had manufacturing flaws, missing rubber along the sole and the stitching goes right over it. There were also flaws on top of the shoes/ missing black material, too noticeable for my liking and for the money I paid.

It is a really well made shoe and very pretty. However, I ordered size 1 and received size 13.5. This allows no growing room for my daughter’s feet. I Ann extremely disappointed, hence the only 2 stars.

I am giving these shoes a 1 star because they are super cute. The size was perfect. She usually wears a 2 1/2 and that’s what size we purchased.
My daughter put these shoes on as she was walking out the door for school, no more than 20 ft from our door where she slipped them on. By the time we got to school, which is a 5 minute drive, we walked in the office and the inside material had already completely detached from the shoe…in both shoes. I didn’t have another pair of shoes in the vehicle so she had to wear them to school regardless. The inside of the sole had began to pull away from the shoe, by the time I picked her up from school and had rubbed a blister on the side of her foot. I would not be purchasing them again. I would not recommend this purchase to someone. Was very disappointed. Cute look, but awful quality. Was very disappointed, so was my daughter.
