So, I’d seen a video of this product on facebook and my instant reaction was “I think I’d really like that…” so with it being as inexpensive as it is, I ordered it. I have used it many times both for myself and for others and everyone always enjoys the sandwiches. I’d made them for my younger sister’s kids and even though she’d tried making “egg McMuffins” by cooking the ingredients separately, her kids didn’t like those but they did like mine. I think it has to do with how perfectly they’re made… at least for a kid, it’s not just a fried egg on an English muffin, but with this the egg actually cooks in a perfect circle and becomes fused with the bread (they cook together).
I use it often when wanting a quick meal or snack since you can easily have the basic ingredients on hand at all times (eggs, muffins, cheese, ham/protein). It warms up so fast that it’s usually ready for me before I’ve gotten all the ingredients ready. Then it takes just 5 minutes to cook, but then another 5-10 before it cools off enough that you can actually eat it without it being too hot.
Clean up is super simple, you just get a paper towel and wipe off the surfaces. The egg-cooking portion easily pulls out for dishwasher cleaning whenever you want.
The only complaint I have is that there’s no power button, plugging it in is turning it on and unplugging it is switching it off and the cord is very very short. So I have it plugged into a short power strip that has its own switch on it so that I don’t have to unplug it. Other than that, it’s getting way more use than I expected and produces a better meal than I had hoped.

I was skeptical of the need for a breakfast sandwich maker. However, my significant other loves egg mcmuffins. We have really enjoyed the sandwiches out of this maker. So far we have done english muffins, eggs, cheese, and variety of bacon/sausage/ham. Delicious every time. Not quite like a McD sandwich, but that might be a good thing.
Surprisingly easy cleanup – the circles come out and can be washed, then the griddle part can be wiped down.
Recommended for sure.

Besides the new from the box smell it is a perfect kitchen essential if you love to make sandwiches but hate dirtying a bunch of pans, and using a lot of appliances like the stove, a toaster etc.
If you want to make a simple Cheese and Egg sandwich, it’s very convenient you can use pre-cooked meat or cook the meat yourself but one would say that it is pointless to have this appliance if you still use the stove.
The sandwich will always come out perfect, and is impossible to mess up, you place in the bread toppings, close the bottom, add the egg and seasoning then the top close and wait 5 minutes go get ready for school/work come back and enjoy a delicious sandwich with 0 hassle.
Cleaning is as simple as using a wet paper towel to brush off the egg flakes.

This is a fun kitchen appliance. By no means would I call it essential, but if you like breakfast sandwiches, it can definitely speed up the process! One thing to note is that the eggs cook thin, not fluffy (they are cooked with the bread pressing down on top, so they can’t lift up). I didn’t mind this this, but others in my family did not like it.
The image shows the basics; you layer the sandwich in, and it all cooks at one time. There is a hot plate in the middle to cook the egg. This is how the whole thing works to quickly, essentially 4 cooking plates. I’ve even made sandwiches without eggs and this still helps to heat it through evenly.
I’ve actually been loving this to cook lots of food items and all kinds of sandwiches. You can wipe it clean in many cases. Egg sandwiches are the most common, but I’ve done veggies with eggs on top and non-egg hot sandwiches as well.
It is not totally intuitive how long to cook things; my tip is when you start listen for the cheese to start sizzling, and that is usually when everything is done.See how long that took, and repeat. But most things are about 3.5-5 minutes (it measure in half minute increments).
When you lift it to open it, it does push on the sandwiches a bit and “unstack” them a tad, but this is minor. It has been a fun addition, and I love it that it come with a few recipe ideas, which have really helped us break out of our breakfast sandwich rut! As a health coach, I would recommend this to families that need a healthy, hearty meal that they can make quickly and eat on the run if need be… but you have to make sure you are adding in some fruits or veggies and going easy on the meats and cheese and be sure to try out some whole wheat or multigrain muffins or toasts.

I’ll admit, I’m like one of the kids when it comes to gadgets. I just love gadgets, but I really love gadgets that work! I purchased the Hamilton Beach Dual Breakfast Sandwich Maker in hopes that my kids would get a healthier fix of that popular fast food sandwich! Much to my surprised, it served it’s purpose and then some! Is it easier to just toss an egg in a frying pan and cook it and toast the muffin? The decision is split there. My husband is old school and happy to just dirty yet another frying pan, spatula, use butter, etc. I am willing to try new and healthier options!
I won’t walk you through the step by step process that some have already done for, but I will tell you –
1. We didn’t coat it with anything (no spray, no oil, no anything) and we had no sticking.
2. We preferred 6 minutes of cooking time for egg, ham and cheese – and yes, even for the eggs and peppers!
3. Cut your cheese/meat into 1/4 so you don’t have any overlapping on the outside. This greatly helps even the easy clean up!
4. Do not limit yourself to breakfast alone! Wow! Roast beef from the deli and some sharp provolone and you have an awesome lunchtime/dinnertime sandwich! Mozzarella, tomato and basil! They sky is the limit here!
5. Easy enough for the kids to do, but it does get hot, so you do need to supervise.
6. Clean up is a breeze. Everything wipes clean. It is that simple.
I hope this helps clarify some of these mixed reviews! The picture that I have selected is the very first sandwich made by the young teen – without reading directions. He did an awesome job! We have since perfected it and will be uploading more photos of our expanding menu of grilled sandwiches!

Absolutely loving this device.
Are you kidding me?
The main trick to enjoy this appliance is to follow the instructions that say PREHEAT the appliance first. If you ignore this step you will have a leaky egg mess. Don’t ignore this step.
Another tip is to spray the egg disk surface with olive oil PAM spray very lightly. Eggs slide off awesome.
My recipe is:
So all you do is buttered English muffin half on bottom, stack with circle cut provolone cheese. Then stack with precooked bacon (the one you buy precooked at grocer) or a slab of meat like a salami slice or balogne. Close the layer with middle disc. Now crack an egg on the egg layer and salt and slightly break yolk. Then cover egg with too half of buttered English muffin. Close entire contraption. 5 minutes. Done. Before you open the contraption, slide out the egg slider tab. Then open it and remove the disc layers. Use a spatula to grab the entire muffin breakfast.
I would love to show a video but Amazon platform disabled the video and pictures sharing during covid.
I’ve this far used this appliance 7 times. Works amazing. Easy to clean. The unit does get hot so be careful . The tabs to slide out the layers are hot but not too had to use your bare fingers to handle.
I only wish there were a 4-sandwich maker model because doing two at a time takes a while when your need to make 6.

I work in a tire shop with mostly men who love to eat. About a year ago I bought them a Hot Dog toaster and they loved it. They saw this online and thought it would be a great addition to our appliances. The first sandwiches made were AWESOME, they were ecstatic and the sandwiches were delicious. It has already gotten a lot of use in a short time, it comes apart to make clean up easier. I would highly recommend it . I now have to buy another for my boys at home.

I bought this after visiting a relative. He had the single with no timer (competitor brand? Not sure). It was such a hit with my kids I decided I needed one. It does a great job. I have nothing negative to say. Sandwiches are awesome. its easy. I precook homemade sausage patties and freeze them. Quick 30 seconds in microwave for the frozen patty and the sandwiches turn out great. I also keep some pre-cooked bacon and also some sliced ham in the fridge. makes it all very easy. And I like them better than restaurant. The bread stays crispier.
I recommended it to several people.

Here it is, March of 2018 and I’ve finally used this unit for the first time. I purchased it late in 2015. Until now, it has been under original factory seal, in its box. Rather than continue to spend more than what breakfast wraps are at a famous coffee chain, I decided yesterday to get the items and test drive this handy little maker. It’s perfect!!! I used English Muffins, slices of ham, cheese and real eggs for our sandwiches. My husband commutes down to the city during the week, and needs something which is quick and easy to take with him. Wraps and sandwiches have been his mainstay for many years. Tomorrow, I think I’ll try sausage patties. You have to use precooked meats, and I lightly toasted the English Muffins…enough to just crispen them. Then I put the bottom half of the muffin in with cheese strips (trimmed thin pieces) and ham slice on top…let that heat until the cheese melted (a minute or so). Then cracked a whole egg into the egg ring, and let that cook for a couple of minutes until it was almost done. Then put a couple of strips of cheese over that and then the top half of the muffin. I let it cook for about 2 minutes. Pulled the divider out that separates the egg from the bottom half of muffin, and let it cook for another minute. To keep them warm, I removed the sandwiches very easily with a spatula, wrapped them in foil until time for my husband to leave for work (20 minutes or so).

My husband suggested to get it, but at first I wasn’t sure that we need it. Still, I ordered it. It arrived super quickly and after using it the same day, I couldn’t be any happier..It is so simple and breakfast can be cooked just in few minutes. We use it weekends at breakfast time, but also sometimes when we just want quick bite and we are not hungry enough for regular meal. You can make healthy choices with ingredients, so it doesn’t have to be sausage, bacon and similar all the time. We are switching, so it’s not always the same. It’s super easy to clean, and never had issue with egg spilling over. I agree that sliced cheese may leak, but not an issue really. Highly recommend it.

We have owned a single Hamilton sandwich maker for a few years now. We were using it so often that we decided to buy the double sandwich maker. This is the best if you like hot sandwiches! We always do English muffin, cheese, bacon/ham and egg. So easy to use; simply just plug it in and wait for the preheat light to turn green; which doesn’t take long. Once the light is green you simply place the bottom portion of your English muffin with a slice of cheese and bacon into the lower portion of the sandwich ring then put egg and the rest of the muffin on the top. Once you have all your ingredients placed you shut the lid and set the timer for 5 minutes. Love that this one comes with a built in timer! Timer is very loud and beeps a few times. Slide the slide part out so that your sandwich parts are on top of each other, open the top, take out your sandwich and enjoy. We have not had any issues with any of the ingredients sticking to the machine. The two sandwich rings are removable for easy cleaning. Love that you have the option to make two sandwiches at once or just one alone. We have even taken this camping (where we had electricity) and it worked perfectly. I would highly recommend this sandwich maker.
