Gildan Mens V-Neck T-Shirts Multipacks

Overall I will be buying these shirts exclusively. They are not as high quality as the Kenneth Cole slim fit shirts I’ve stuck to for the past 5 years, but the general smaller shape of the vneck and shoulder lengths are similar.

1) Shrinks -> yes these shirts shrink about a 1/2 size (by their sizing standards, which leave a huge gap is measurements between M and L). I purposefully bought the L knowing this, washed and dried them on high heat to ensure they shrank 80% as much as they will over time right away. They are nearly a perfect fit now, for what they could ever be given their box style design/shape (see below). I am 6’2″ for reference, broad shoulder, 41″ chest, healthy/athletic build.

2) Not “fitted” / Classic box shape -> Again, these were manufactured with a cheap price point in mind, so they constructed these as cheap as they could have to hit the mass market, not healthy or athletic people, and the box shape is cheapest and easiest to construct. Thus these are the “Classic” overweight-male box style shirts. So if you are healthy weight male or athletic in any way at all, these will not be a great fit (but not terrible) as there will always be loose material floating around below the chest area that will get annoying (given that the chest area is larger than the waist/belly in healthy people). So I wouldn’t say this is a negative for the shirts because that is how they are designed, as “classic” style shirts. They are simply not designed for me or my normal build/healthy body.

3) Quality -> is something to be desired for improvement
Notice how the 5-star review process above doesn’t include quality?? Ya that’s for a reason.
Threads of the shirts after the 1st wash BEFORE even wearing them have already started to come loose and pull out. That is a concern for longevity given that comparably priced retail versions of the Kenneth Cole are stitched better, use higher quality fabrics and more importantly after 3 years the threads are still not coming loose. This is the most disappointing feature of the shirt. Remember just because something it 10% cheaper doesn’t mean it is nearly equal quality. Cheap is cheap, and when you go cheap you hardly ever get what you paid, you get worse. But I generally go through 10 of these a year with work, life and play, so it’s not a huge issue if these are readily available and somewhat cost effective. Not that I appreciate or want waste, but if I must I’ll simply replace them more frequently.

Overall though, given the price point the manufacturer Gildan created these at, they are a decent shirt. If I could easily get my hands on KC slim’s on Amazon that aren’t some cheaper knock off from Bangladesh (not that there is anything wrong with the region – it is simply known for cheaper knock off versions which is the case of the ones found here on Amazon, and interestly what Gildan is very well known for creating), I would certainly pay 10% more for KC shirts since they are significantly higher quality and feel better, or better put are simply a better value and quality for your money.

Bottom line, as a cheap throw away shirt that fits decent and is easily attainable whenever I want, these are certainly my new fall back and I am very happy for finding them.

Fits a little small. But after 1 wash even with cold water, and hang drying the tshirts still shrank. But they were still useable.

Recently i was tucking one of the shirt and my finger went through creating a whole… it tore apart in less than 2 months of use.. i have similar undershirts from other companies that have lasted YEARs that did not tear apart or shrink.

GILDAN’S quality is not what it used to be 🙁

playeras de uso diario para salir del paso como playera para salir y hacer tus cosas del día, supermercado,gym,cine,ir a ver tus coches, bancos, pero no sirve para vestir en absoluto, si tu idea es que puedes ponertela con un blazer para estar semi formal eso no va a pasar, debes de estar conciente que e sun playera de 150 pesos cuesta lo mismo que una de zara así que no esperes mucho, el color dura al igual que la prenda, pero no trates de vestirte con estas playera para trabajar o esas cosas que requieren cierta formalidad por que no te verás bien, para eso recomiendo en todo caso mejor ir a una tienda zara y comprar sus playera baratas pero tiene mejores cortes y terminados más vestibles para convivencia más común, es una playera amplia así que si estas panzón te recomiendo estas playeras para no verte ridiculo con tu panza a punto de explotar, tamaño perfecto de hombros

I normally wear a Large shirt, so I ordered these in Medium as they are intended to be an undershirt.

It fits probably as good as I could have hoped. Maybe a little tight around the arm pit/lats, but I can easily stretch it out.

The V is deep enough that it shouldn’t show under a collared shirt.

The other great thing is that it’s not a thick cotton, so I don’t have to worry about getting too hot, or looking “bulky”. Happy to have gotten these in bulk.

finally, a brand that has a size that fit me without being too slim,
the material is acceptable (I can’t complain at that price)

In a fashion standpoint, those are good ”essential” (the base to make an outfit)

But I don’t expect them to last forever. At that price, but again, I would not complain for the price

Received a pack of 6 t-shirts. One of them had a hole under the arm. I would have thought that it might be hard to miss something you can put your foot through. I would have been wrong.

For someone who lives in Canada but has trouble with North American sizes due to a short torso, this series of t-shirts from Gildan is a lifesaver. This is the only t-shirt that I can find locally that fits me well. I wish they made more stuff with the same sizing as I have tried their other products but they follow different sizing.
Quality wise, the t-shirts themselves are a great value for money and last for about a month or two if used regularly before they start fading.
