This is a defective item. I purchased it in June 2018, and it is already rusting out even though it is in a partially covered porch. The photo shows only one area, but it is rusted over the entire bench. I contacted the vendor, and they offered $25 to keep the item “as is”…rusty and only going to get rustier.

Placed the bench in my garden. It rained heavy a couple of times. After two week , I noticed rust developing on the metal back rest…. very disappointing . I had to apply rust paint…. lets see how long it last.

Ordered this after looking at many like it. Price cannot be beaten. We assembled it in about 20-30 minutes (it really is a two person job). It was just the right piece for our front porch. It looks great! Very happy!

This is a solidly well-built bench that went together easily. Its edges are all finished — no raw cuts or drips to catch on clothing.It’s heavily enameled and has weathered some very heavy spring storms in spotless condition. It’s very attractive too. I’m a large person and it is not phased by me or even when another sits with me.

I told my wife, to paint the bench again, before putting it outside, and she did.
As she left it to dry in the sun, we had an evening shower. The very next day, brown water had collected in the pipes, and rust all over!
The bench is powder coated really bad!
Everything rusts within days!
On top of regular black paint, we gave it an extra layer of plasti dip; and removed the plastic ends of the pipes, to squirt some plasti dip paint in there.
So far the plastidip has held up, and the bench hasn’t corroded any further!
I feel this bench could sell so much better, if the company would PROPERLY paint this, or coat this with either plastidip or good quality paint!

I loved the bench and how easy it was to assemble, until the first rainfall. Now it has so much rust in it and it leaving rust running down my dark path and it looks awful! I don’t know how to get rust off! Very unhappy with this product!

As an average person who isn’t a handyman, it took me about 2.5 hours to put this together.
For people wondering if the washers fit with the screws… answer, they DO.
How to assemble with the tools provided:
First, attach the screws so the items hook up. Then, use the big size of the wrench to grip the washer and the screwdriver to hold screw in place. Try twisting both in the tightening direction for each.
Do this for all screws and washers. Tighten about 2/3 while assembling. Then, once the bench is pretty much whole, go through each washer/screw and finish tightening with the same wrench-grip / screwdriver tightening method.
When tight, add the rubber things to the ends of the washers.
I initially gave this bench 4 stars for loose fits, but now that I realized it was my error, upgrading to 5 stars.
