I ordered a 18m to 24m they said it’s good for 28lbs to 33lbs. My child is 27lbs and the swim diaper barely goes over her legs. This is a swim diaper for a small infant not a toddler. Theirs is the top one and the bottom one is a 18m to 25m swim diaper from another brand.
Do not waste your time buying this and having to return it.

Great well made product. Have tried others but Finis is the one I always go back to. This item keeps it shape and elasticity through more than one child. Washes well and keeps its color.

It fits soooooooo small!!! I read the reviews that they run small so I ordered an XL (even though a medium or large should’ve fit according to weight)…and it was still too small! It left marks all over my babe after 30 mins of usem would not recommend!!

We used these all last summer and thought they were great, so we got more this year. Less waste than disposables and easy to clean. They are well made and wash up very well.

3rd pair we have purchased for my autistic son, allowing him to be able to enjoy swimming. Have lasted sooo well. They do say hand wash only and I have for a couple of years now but decided the other day that one pair he has has slightly discoloured from so much use so popped it in the wash on a gentle wash and it’s cone out lovely! So I’d say you can machine wash it just on a gentle wash (30 degrees for unsoiled ones) and it will be fine.
My boy is average sized and he is 4&1/2 and still fits his age 3 ones along with the age 4, he still has lots of growing room in the age 4, they are very good sizing.

The size guides are way off. I ordered a large one for my 27 lb daughter (the guide said up to 22-28lb). She’s very slim and has a smaller than average waist, but what arrived is so tiny it wouldn’t even have fit her a year ago.

Impressed with this swim diaper. My daughter wears a 2T and we ordered 3T and it fits great. When I first opened the package it looked tiny but the fit is pretty accurate to a typical 3T. So far they have functioned well as a swim diaper and seem to wash well.

Very good quality for kids. Bought this before going on a trip down south and it did the job. The fit was spot on and we had no issues. Will see how it holds up with more use this summer but feels like it will last.

Swim diapers are a must-have! I have always used them, from the time that my baby was 2 months old. She is now 16 months old, and they are still my go-to when we go to the pool!
This Finis brand isn’t bad. I find the part where my daughter’s legs go through to be quite tight around though… It doesn’t seem to bother her, but they definitely leave marks after swimming, and for that reason we don’t go for more than an hour or so (I don’t want to cut off any circulation :P) Guess an hour is long enough to swim anyway. Although in the Summertime, we can spend longer than that at the beach, so maybe I would look for a swim diaper in another brand if I were you? I don’t think that the next size up that I buy for my daughter will be Finis brand as it will be Summertime once again. (I get that it’s tight around the legs to keep the number 2’s in there!)
Obviously it doesn’t hold number 1’s in there, but that’s okay. A pool is good and chlorinated and the lake or ocean isn’t clean anyway!
It CAN be a bit of a challenge to get the diaper off when it’s wet, just like trying to get off any wet clothing that is tighter. But it can especially be challenging to keep things absolutely clean if there is a big number 2 in there! If you have an inkling that there may be a number 2 in there, I recommend taking the diaper off your child in either the shower, bath or a sink if possible, so you can rinse with water as you go!

Needed a 2 part nappy system for my daughter to go swimming. She has grown out of commercial disposable options, but the 4T size fits well with growing room. It fits well under her size 6-7 years Splash About Jammers as an ‘inner’ nappy. Fits the requirements of swimming pools who state a 2 part nappy system needs to be used.
I wouldn’t put this on my child as the only nappy as I don’t think it would contain any accidents without an ‘outer’ layer as well.

My daughter is is 26 months but only 25 lbs so it took me some time to decide which size to get. Finally, I went for XL because a loose fit will defeat the main purpose of a swim diaper. When I first saw the actual product my impression was it was too small, the leg holes looked so big and the waistline looked so tight so I thought it was a weird cutting. But surprisingly, when I tried it on my daughter, it was a good, snug fit, the leg holes were just right for her (and she’s got slim legs), it’s just that it was bikini cut that’s why the leg holes looked big. I think I was just used to having the diaper in the brief cut style but I realize now that the bikini cut was a good one since it does not go outside her swimsuit. After using twice now, the garters on the waistline and leg holes have also loosened a bit so it didn’t turn out to be too tight and it didn’t leave marks on the waist or legs. I wish I had used washable cloth swim diapers from the beginning instead of the disposal ones.
