I bought two of these boxes, and I just received them the other day.
My vehicle is a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT that uses a keyfob. For my vehicle, I keep the keyfob in my pocket and can open and lock my doors and back hatch by touching the door or hatch handles. In addition, when I start my vehicle by push button, and my foot is on the brake, the vehicle checks to see if the keyfob is inside the vehicle. If it is not, then the dashboard will display “No keyfob in vehicle”, and not start the vehicle. I put one of my keyfobs in one of the boxes, closed it up, and tried to open the doors and the hatch. As I was trying to open the doors and hatch, I rotated the box in various directions, but was never able to open the doors or hatch . I tried this with both boxes, and I was unable to open the doors or hatch with either box.
So I opened up the top of one of the boxes, with the keyfob in it, and I was easily able to open up the door with no trouble.
I then tried to start the vehicle with the keyfob inside the fully closed box, which was inside the vehicle. Again I rotated the box, while repeatedly trying to start the vehicle. No luck, the vehicle would not start. I open up the box and tried again, and the vehicle immediately started up.
So in summary. The box (actually both boxes) I bought works exactly as described. It is a nice size, well made, and a reasonable priced. It works perfectly for my vehicle and keyfobs.

Provides good piece of mind for car key fob storage.
Got this after hearing many stories about car thefts in my area using signal boosting from key fobs.
Tested by placing my fob in the box just outside my car – no signal. Same thing inside the car, trying to push start button “no key detected”
Hearing stories of neighbours placing keys in balls of aluminum foil in the microwave… that may work, but this is a far better solution.

A bit skeptical at first, but once I put all the car keys into the box, closed the lid and walked to my car and the doors just would’t open, I was a believer!! It’s definitely not 100% car theft proof, coz they will always have other ways if they really want to steal your car, but at least if gives you a piece of mind knowing that your cars are on the top 10 North America GTA List!!

This key fob protector is 100% effective. Here’s the test. We have both a gas and electric vehicle. Our electric vehicle car door opens automatically when the FOB is close enough. So I placed all 4 FOBS in the box and walked over to our electric vehicle and it remained in sleep mode. This box is 100% effective. I would highly recommend. 10**********

I put my keyfobs in the box and stood next to the car. I couldn’t unlock the car with the box closed. With the box open, of course, the door unlocked. My keyfobs sleep in this box every night now. It is big enough to hold both keys and my wallet and other things I keep in my pockets all day. Now I can find everything I need to head out to work in the morning.

The box came with a deep scratch and the insider divider wasn’t properly glued. It looks cheap with high price tag.
I complained, in fairness, i got refunded with my
money. I didn’t use the box. It doesn’t look like it would deliver the promise. Bin it, i wont dare place it on display either.

Great product and it works! I tested it by placing my fob in the box then bringing the box out to the truck. The truck would not open when I tried using the hand sensor on the handle.

Well worth the money. Works great for cars with Start/Stop buttons and keyless entry. I tested by placing my fob in the box and trying to open my car door. The door would not unlock until I opened the box lid. I also tried to start my car with the fob in the box and a “fob not detected” message appeared, and my car would not start. This gives me peace of mind that high tech thieves will not be able to trace the RF signals and gain access to my vehicle.

There’s been a rash of car break-ins in our neighborhood from people using key fob activators to unlock people’s cars. We got this to keep our key fobs protected, but we’ve had our cars broken into twice since getting this box. So either it doesn’t work or they have another way of unlocking keyless entry cars. Either way, this box hasn’t helped us.

I bought this Faraday Key Fob Protector Box to protect my Toyota highlander from relay theft happening around my neighbourhood after doing some research about this method of anti theft mechanism for smart key vehicles. Practically this is very easy to use and really cheap method to protect smart key vehicles. When my keys are inside this box no signals come out and I confirmed it by keeping the box near to my vehicle and trying to open the door

I am disappointed in the appearance of the item. It is difficult to open and looks like the top liner is going to fall out due to poor glue adhesion. However, from a signal blocking aspect it works. The item is smaller than it appears in the online photo but it will fit 3 or 4 key fobs with keys .
