First the good, then the bad and the verdict.
It works great with car fobs. Once you put the fob in the box and close it, It blocks the signals from outside and inside the car. As I hoped, I couldn’t start the cars. When sitting in the driver’s seat and box in my lap, my dash just keeps reporting “unable to detect key”. That being said, car fobs work on 315Mhz in North America.
This box could not block any other frequencies like cell, gps or bluetooth. Would I buy it again or recommend it? if all i plan to put in it is my car keys then yes. If I bought it for any other reason I would be returning the product.

A nifty little shielding container that prevents thieves outside from activating fobs inside for vehicles and garage doors. It isn’t big, it isn’t cheap and the clasp isn’t heavy duty either but it works. I reckon it holds up to six devices. Recommended.

It works! Tried it out right away to be sure.
I locked my car and put the key in the box and closed it. I tried my door handle and it didn’t open. Same for trying to remote start the car! Once the key is in the box all signal is blocked, nobody can open the car and or start it. Awesome little box. Has room for about three to four keys

We received notice from local police that car thieves have been using scanners to steal keyless entry codes through the front door. I ordered this faraday box as a counter measure. It’s a little smaller than I expected but it works well. I tested it with my cellphone and signals weren’t getting through. It matches our decor and looks quite handsome as well. I feel safe knowing I’ve done what I can to keep us safe.

This product did not work as advertised. We placed our keys in the box, stood by our vehicle, and was able to start the vehicle. This should not have occurred as the box should have blocked signals.

I really like this box, not only because of the theft component but also that it is not highly visible within a room. I have it on a shelf with books etc. and if you did not know what it was, you would not think it stands out. The box is easy to dust and stays closed with the clasp nicely. We have ordered another.

I bought this solely for my keyfobs. For those unaware, thieves can use boosters to gain access to keyless entry cars by extending the signals the keyfobs use to get into your car. My car is newer and likely has protection against this, but, I prefer to be safe rather than sorry.
I tested this two ways. I put my cell phone into the box and closed it and had a friend call me. They immediately were sent to voicemail. If this didn’t work, the call would’ve gone through. That enough was a bulletproof test for me. I wanted to go further. I put both my keyfobs into the box and closed it. I took the box to my car and grabbed my door handle. Nothing. That confirmed it for me. If the box wasn’t a faraday cage, my door would’ve sensed my keyfob and unlocked the door.
The box itself also feels sturdy. Check the dimensions before buying to make sure it will hold your devices. I needed it for my 2 keyfobs and nothing else. If you are looking for phone storage, my Pixel 5 fit in the box nicely.

People started access cars in the neighborhood, and we heard that this was likely due to thieves having the RFID repeaters, and picking up the signal from the key fobs inside the house. We bought this box to keep on the shelf. To test it, I put the key fobs in it, and walked right up to the cars. None of the cars opened. I opened the lid and held the box up high… they still wouldn’t open. I left the lid open and lowered the box below the door handles, and then they would open. Then, I locked the cars and closed the box lid and kept the box down low, and none of the cars would open again. It was perfect. We always keep the keys in the box now, and we sleep better at night.
The lid is a little stiff to open, but it’s not too bad. Definitely worth the secure feeling that the cars can’t be opened so easily by the bad guys.

Since there have been problems in our area with car break-ins, I figured a Faraday Box would stump the perpetrators by not allowing them to use electromagnetic pulses to trip out car and garage keys. So far so good.
The ‘genuine leather’ is debatable and the latch often sticks when trying to close the box. The box itself is quite spacious and holds at least 3 sets of keys and a garage door opener.

*LONG DETAILED REVIEW* This little box is a great value for the money. I purchased it after my Jeep (along with several other cars in my neighborhood) was broken into. I knew my doors were locked, and the police confirmed the thief used an electronic device that copies the signal from your key fob to unlock the doors. I purchased this Faraday box the next day and received it within 24hrs. I tested it by dropping the key fobs to my second car in the box, leaving the box open, and seeing if the doors unlocked when I touched the handle…and they did. Once I closed the box and the clasp, the doors no longer opened when I touched the handle. I also put my cell phone in the box after telling someone to call me within 30 secs. The phone did not ring. I waited about 2mins and took the phone out. A few seconds later, I got a text saying the phone went straight to voice-mail when she called. So it definitely works. Just make sure the box is closed completely with the latch locked! If it isn’t, signals will still be able to get through and the box won’t work.

I tried putting my mobile phone inside this box, closed and locked it and then tried calling it from my landline. The signal went through and was not blocked. A real Faraday box (as advertised) is supposed to block all electromagnetic frequencies including cellular and wifi, this box does not do this at all. Contacted seller via email and got no response.

I was really looking forward to this product but after a few tests, I discovered it does not work at all. First, I placed my iPhone in the box and tried pinging it with my Apple Watch and the alert notification starting going off while sealed in the box. I also tried with two Tile Trackers and two sets of car keys; the Tile Trackers alarm went off within 15 seconds and I could still open my car. I am returning this product for a refund.
In my video, I waited a couple of seconds before trying the door handle of my car but in multiple attempts off cemera, my keys were in the box over-night 10 feet away and I could still unlock door.

I saw a video the other day about the way your better-equipped car thieves steal newer cars and it involves grabbing the signal that is being broadcast 24/7 from your key fob with a receiver and redirecting it to another individual with a transmitter to unlock and start your car. Impressive technology, but not so impressive if it’s your car being stolen.
Anyhow, I placed my keys in the box and tried to get in my locked car. The passive locks would not unlock. After opening the box, the doors would unlock. Attempting to start the car with the box closed didn’t work. The display indicated that the key fob was not present. When fully closed, this faraday cage disguised as a nice box really does its job well of blocking the signal transmission from the key fob.
Auto theft isn’t really a problem in my neighborhood, but it has happened. I can rest easy knowing that I’m not making it easier for the bad guys.
In full disclosure, the seller offered me a $10 gift card for a 5-star review, but in all honesty, I would have given it 5 stars anyway. This box works as advertised, is affordable, attractive, and doesn’t look out of place on my counter.
