It seemed to work ok, as the orange crystals turned dark green, a pain to power to dry it out, the crystals turn dark green when they have absorbed moisture and hence need to be heated via the mains electric however the plug is USA, so need an adapter, but I have found that the crystals should turn back to orange after 12 hours on the electric socket, mine still remain dark green, so I have no idea if they will work, I’ve given up and bought a probreeze similar product which actually works as stated ie goes back to orange and is supplied with a uk plug

I use this little dehumidifier in my tiny bathroom. Even though I have a fan in the bathroom it still would get mildew spots from the steam. I’ve had this in the bathroom for a couple months now and I haven’t noticed any new mildew spots. I have to plug it in every week or two since there is so much moisture in the bathroom, but that is a very easy process. I love the size and ease of use!

I wanted to decrease the humidity in my wine cooler that I use as a dry cure chamber for my charcuterie. I constantly monitor relative humidity and temperature. The Eva-dry made no difference at all. Totally useless. I returned it and bought another mini-dehumidifier with a power cord, the Thermo-Electric Intelligent Dehumidifier Humidistat. I can also set the humidity. Hope it works better.

I have been using these for 10 years. They say that they probably need replaced by ten years, so I ordered several more. They do a great job of pulling extra moisture out of my safes.
I did figure out that I can replace the silica beads in the old units. I did not want to do it until I got the new units in place. But there are 4 screws in the back of the unit. You can loosen them and pop off the little door on the side, or take screw all the way out (beads will go everywhere, use a bucket), Dump the beads and order some from EBay. I replaced all the beads in all 3 of my old ones for $16. They are easy to put back together and after you refill the units, you can jimmy the door back in place. It has snap tabs on it, so you can pop the door back in. Each unit holds about 320 grams of beads.

We had some painting done and when had to move some clothes out for the painter to finish the trim – noticed some marks on the walls in 2 closets. Cleaned with bleach and water – let dry. Asked the painter to give the walls a few good swipes with the paint (he wasnt painting the closets as they were done about 1.5 years ago). Bought these little dehumidifiers to try. So far so good. Nothing back on the walls. So simple to use – set a reminder in my phone to check every 30 days. If the beads are green (mine were), just plug it in and when the beads turn back to yellow – good to go for another 30 days or so!
So simple to use. I used the hook and hung it from the railing. No tools required. Easy peasy to use and sucks that moisture out of the closet to prevent any build up!

A useful device I set up for my gun safe, however I found it hard to mount it anywhere as the unit was too heavy and there was no rod to hook it too.
I also started to notice after the third recharge that it wasn’t warming enough to return to a fully dried unit and some balls inside did not return to orange from green. It also took a lot longer, almost 24 hours to dry enough to be used.
A good product by any standards though.

Very happy with this little unit. It works very well with keeping the moister out of my gun closed and the fact that it is rechargeable. I’ve recharged it twice now without any problems.
And thank you Amazon for the fast 2-day shipping

If you have a space that is constantly humid…this probably won’t do much. But if you needed it just to bring dampness down in a hockey bag or small closet that had a little moisture…it will probably work fine. I tried it in my grow tent and it didn’t do much…but it’s a constant damp environment so I needed to go to a true dehumidifier

This is an excellent little unit . I bought it for my car as it has a leak somewhere in the trunk which causes a lot of condensation . I live in the pnw so this is a huge issue in the winter.
I put it in overnight and my windows were free of condensation by the next am. They still fog up quite a bit when driving .
However I think it’s excellent value.

I bought this thing for my gun safe, as I live in a humid environment, but ended up putting it in my car since I drive a leaky piece of crap that fogs up like crazy. This little dehumidifier works a treat in there and helps my windows defog in about a quarter the time it normally takes. Plugging it in to recharge is a dead simple process and while it takes awhile it’s nice not to have to mess around with refilling it, or baking it in the oven, or any of the other recharging methods the other ones use. The only negative is that the little window to see if your beads need drying out doesn’t give you enough of a view to accurately assess whether or not you need to recharge it, so to be safe I bring it in every two weeks or so to plug it in. Overall I’m glad I bought this and think I’ll pick up another for the gun safe come winter, because this has become a permanent and convenient fixture in my car.

Great to trap all the dampness off my room
I live in a basement apartment so dampness is a major problem here. Before using this, I had to use some cheap damp traps from Dollarama. They work to a certain point, but cannot trap the condensation as fast as this.
And another great thing, after this one is “full” I don’t have to throw it away. Just plug in my outlet, and wait for at least 8hr to use it again. So I juat plug in before I go to work and it will be ready when I get back
The product is so great, I had to buy 3. One for my bathroom, and the other 2 are for the bedroom and my work room
Wish this could be cheaper but I guess you get what you pay for

This little thing is handy and portable (no wires) and it can easily be hung on a bar or a radiator in the bathroom where I keep mine to stop mould from appearing but I have one pet peeve about it. I use it for the obvious reason of getting rid of the humidity in the air within the house however when the dehumidifier is “wet” (as in full of water), in order to get rid of the water, you have to plug it into the mains (Quick side note, the Eva-Dry only has a 110v plug, you will need a 240v adaptor for it to work in the UK). Upon plugging it in, it releases the same very water (into the air) that you got it to catch in the first place which kinda defeats the purpose.
All in all, yes it does it’s job, but when it comes to recharging it, I’ve had to purchase a plug-in dehumidifier to catch the water (steam) that the Eva-Dry releases.
