I am a sailor and this makes a great addition to my onboard navigation equipment. I get perfect accuracy on my ipad or iphone maps with this unit.

Quick blue tooth connect and amazing satellite connection for my wifi only iPad while Im in my jeep anywhere I go.

I’ve had nothing but problems with this gps which I have been attempting to use with an aviation app. Connection to both my android phone and iPad mini 4 are unreliable and the battery doesn’t hold charge after less than 12 months of use. The device is also sensitive to heat and even in mild conditions will shut down. The company sells a one dollar replacement battery for $35 and has been unhelpful with my support requests so it’s going in the bin. At least my map and compass skills have stayed sharp.

A little tricky to set up with a Windows 8.1 Surface Pro 3; you have to go into some pretty deep registry settings to get the 2 devices to communicate, but complete instructions are provided. Once connected, all good. Battery life seems very good so far. I did try to connect to my Android phone, but forget it, the phone didn’t want to know.

Receiver is working Well With my iPad

Used it many times and it functions flawlessly. Get about 10 hours of co tiuous use and have seen no loss in that in the months I’ve had it.

Using it for sailing …Navigation in the Med through a charts App on my iPad… Perfect for the job .. also amusing to use in the car in uk .. more accurate positioning than my cars sat nav

Good unit. Easy to connect. Locks on position pretty fast. Used on local flights with tracking on the ForeFlight. One thing it is easy to forget if put it on the dashboard of the rental plane, so make sure the stick rubber holder is clean so you can stick it on the side window.

Absolutely love this unit!
I use it in my pocket to track exercise – much better than the cellphone GPS.
It goes in the car and ensures great GPS reception no matter what
and finally in the boat to provide precise GPS for iPad (without GPS) and Android units.
Really really great.

Great product works well with my 9.7-inch Apple iPad Pro (WiFi only) and co-pilot car sat nav software. I have also tested it on my windows 10 flip-top and once i added GPSComplete/GPSDirect additional software to solve compatibly issues with microsoft sensor/location API found in windows 10 it worked with Microsoft map. The only negative is that i have not been able to stop it dropping the connection with OSX El Capitan.
Simple to set up works out of the box. Great little non-slip mat for mounting on clean smooth surfaces. Going forward I have only two concerns: support from the manufacturer does not get good reviews (but I have not had to test this so far) and it drains its battery quite quickly. Not a problem for in car use although a double usb cigarette charger would be an improvement on the single one provided but when walking in the mountains an external booster battery pack, solar charger and traditional magnetic compass & map are advised additions.

So far I have only used SkyPro XG160 once in the aircraft and it performed as advertised. Very please with price threshold ($142 Can) and performance right out of the box. No difficulty at all in obtaining bluetooth connection with my Apple Air iPad. Works extremely well with ForeFlight. Checked unit accuracy against GPS in aircraft – it performed flawlessly.

Purchased in June 2016, the only electronic device I ever bought on Amazon that didn’t depreciate in price over time! Also one of my best pieces of equipment, that’s now been now used with over a dozen devices.
– Paired with the OBD2 (fast-updating) device can get silky-smooth performance graphs using Torque.
– I get about 1m accuracy on a good day, 3m on a crappy rainy day.
– This thing got me through 2 years of navigating a large 5-ton box truck in downtown Calgary every day with rain, thunderstorms, floods – you name it.
Definitely recommend to anyone.
