DHP 6-Inch Microfiber Futon Mattress, Full, Black

For the price, this mattress is well worth it. This is a 6″ foam mattress, so don’t expect the same comfort properties or durability as a more expensive cotton stuffed mattress, but it will get by for occasional use. The mattress is comfortable for sitting and laying down, but if I were to recommend it, it would only be for a futon that gets occasional use, possibly in a guest room or basement, or maybe even a small child’s bedroom. Although in the close-up photo it almost looks like it’s covered in a microsuede-type material, it’s not. It has a fairly thin polyester blend cover, which again, will hold up fine to occasional use, but I’d recommend purchasing a separate cover for it if you want it to last.

Overall it’s comfortable on our wood slat futon and I expect it will hold up well in our basement with our kids and guests. It’s thick enough that we don’t feel the slats and has just the right amount of firmness to make it comfortable enough for sleeping. For the price, it’s hard to go wrong.

The cushion is thick enough that it doesn’t feel like you are sitting on a metal frame, and it is comfortable and looks good! But the button like parts seem a little too long and get caught in thing sometimes. Otherwise great!

Terrible first experience with Amazon Prime. I had to pay over $60 in cab fees to go pick up the item after they said they couldn’t deliver it to my apartment because I didn’t have a buzzer number set up. Then I got it home and unpacked it and it’s not 6 inches thick at all, it’s only 4.5 and you can feel the bars of the frame through it. Definitely do not recommend!

This review is for the full sized futon mattress. It is extremly light weight and feels too thin to be used on a futon, but I am using it as a mattress topper for a full sized mattress on a regular bed instead, however it is still not very comfortable. It has a permanent fold down the center from where it was folded in to the box when shipped. Have had the mattress for a couple of months now, and it is used as a mattress topper every day and that fold in the center never goes away. When brand new it was slightly just over 4 inches thick and after two days of waiting for it to expand further, it never did. Definately not 6 inches thick. It arrived folded up in a big box, but it did not appear to be compressed in the box, like some other mattresses are, it was just folded. It is so light weight, that I can easily lift it and move it about with just one hand. The dimensions were not as advertised for this full sized futon mattress. It is a bit lumpy and after about 2 months of sleeping on it, it feels thinner. When I squeeze it with my hand, it easily compresses so that fingers touch. Enclosed is a picture of the shipping label and it does not seem the same as the dimensions advertised. I do not see how someone could use this as a futon mattress due to it appears the frame of the futon itself would be felt through it being how thin and light weight it is. When placed on the floor, the hardness of the floor can be easily felt through it as well. I chose not to return it due to the inconvience of that.

The mattress on my bed was getting old and wires were starting to poke through. I am not as young as I used to be, and I can’t wrestle full mattresses around anymore. So I bought this futon mattress to place on top of the old mattress. At first I thought it might be a bit small, but when I got it, it fit perfectly. Now I have no more wires poking me in the back and stabbing me. I think this was the best buy I made in years.

Good quality! Have it on a futon on my patio outside. Had for a year now and is holding up great. Also purchased a cover for the futon from amazon. Spent the Alberta winter outside no worse for the wear
