I plugged it in my basement and the moment i pushed in the cord there was a big spark on the outlet and the circuit breaker tripped, I printed my return label and just for being sure that it was not my electrical circuit that caused it, i took it upstairs and plugged it into my microwave outlet, the moment i plugged it in there was a big spark and a loud noise, blew 2 bulbs in the kitchen and killed the outlet, there was a bad plastic burn smell and I am yet to figure out how to bring the power back to the point as my circuit breakers all seem on. All I would suggest is why don’t these guys test the product before shipping them, its so much trouble for everyone going through a return and so much risk with these kind of products where no one is accountable for anything other than a mere return

As others have mentioned that the heater is smell and odor free. The wheels were already installed and all I had to do was to flip them out. Plug ;n; go. it was this simple. The safety instructions a must to read, although I have the same heater bought 5 years ago but it is good to refresh on safety tips.
The heater arrived days before expected delivery time and thanks to Amazon they delivered when the temperature had dipped to minus -10 C in Vancouver; it was a welcome sight to have the heater.
The units is plugged in and working as if supposed to. No noise no fuss just constant heat radiating from it. Wait a minute let me go and hug the heater ….oops it is hot …..maybe another time. Highly recommended a good price as the same model selling in major stores at $129.99 plus taxes.

We picked this heater up for our nursery over the winter when the house heating system malfunctioned (later fixed). It’s an almost silent heater (the only sound is the relay clicking on/off). The oil inside heats fairly quickly and is quick to warm the room comfortably. On the medium power setting, it had no problem with the moderate sized nursery or our master bedroom when set to high power.

The fins get hot enough to be uncomfortable to touch when set on high, but if it’s on medium, would probably hurt kids if they touched momentarily (they’ll take their hand off quickly). The feet are too small to be completely steady on carpet, so we had it behind a baby gate to the washroom to ensure our toddler couldn’t pull it over on top of her.

Fantastic heater! I ordered 2 of these as a backup in case my furnace conks out and also just to take the dampness/chill out of the air without having to turn furnace on. Fed up with spending $40-50 on conventional fan space heaters since I always seem to get 1 or 2 seasons out of them before they die. I was looking for something that will last several years. I have to say I’m quite impressed with the amount of heat that this heater produces One of them made a ticking sound as it was heating up but then went away right after. There is also an oil smell at first that disappears right after heating up. I grew up in an older home with hot water radiant heat so I remember the loud ticking noises the radiators made when heating up. It’s a normal sound with radiant heaters so likely the same with these. Heaters work great, nice even heat and are rated as most energy efficient space heaters. I will update this review in a couple of months when my hydro bill comes in after using them. All in all very impressed. I expect (and hope) to have these for many years to come.

This was purchased for temporary use in the basement. It’s excellent: 1500W of power, with 3 settings (low, med and hi). It has an analog thermostat that’s simple to set and use. Completely silent.

The radiator is not light. It is shipped in its original package, which is too small and does not protect the unit very well. The unit I received had cosmetic damage likely during transit.

We’re happy with this heater. No sound. Instructions said initial smell will go away, which was true. We’re using this to heat our 750 square foot walk out basement at our cottage. We knew that was a little too big a space for this heater, so we might get another. I like the minimum setting it has to save power when we’re not there. It’s an even comfortable heat.
