Had the glasses for 3 months and the temple broke. I only wear them once a week and am not rough with these at all. Seems that they may not do well in the Florida heat and dry and crack. I called Radians to get a replacement and they sent me to an extension that just rang and then went to voice mail which would not let you leave a message. I emailed them with the issue and never got a reply. A lot of money spent for cheap glasses. Had they broken while wearing them it would have poked my eye which doesn’t bode well for being “safety” glasses. They broke when I was getting ready to put them on so lucky me.

I love polarized sunglasses and when I found the polarized safety glasses for the same price as regular sunglasses, it was a no-brainer. However, the brown lens glasses haven’t been quite what I expected. Yes, they are optically sharp and clear; yes, they are polarized; yes, they are comfortable. But the shading is a little too light to wear in bright sunlight. I have worn them on overcast days – those days when there’s just enough light to cause you to squint, but not enough for gray lens. They have worked great then. Just disappointed they are not all-round glasses.

I usually wear goggle-type clear safety glasses for working with power tools, flying debris, etc., but doing yard work like mowing, edging, etc., I wear polycarbonate sunglasses for comfort, looks and UV protection. I got these to “upgrade” from the expensive but likely not-as-sturdy sport sunglasses I’ve been wearing to mow, but I didn’t want to give up the high-contrast bronze lens or the helpful polarization.

These seem to do all that just fine. They are light and comfortable. They fit my slightly narrow face well, and are only bit larger than my typical sunglasses and no larger than many other types of sunglasses. I think they are small enough that most women could wear them comfortably as well.

The lens is optically clear as a bell, and the brown / bronze tint improves contrast, although perhaps not quite as sharply as the lenses in my fancy Serengeti Maestrales. As for that, though, I have to think for a second as to which pair I have on. These could easily be worn as everyday sunglasses given the looks and comfort, but I feel better using them as safety glasses knowing they are ANSI rated.

No fancy packaging here. No cloth, no case, no strap. They came in a humble plastic bag with the safety info printed in small type. Got a pair of original Croakies to keep them on and put them in an extra Serengeti case I have lying around. For this price, no one has an excuse not to wear decent impact-rated lenses doing anything where your eyes need protection from debris as well as UV and glare.

I absolutely LOVE these glasses. I love the amber shade with polarization because the amber doesn’t make it as dark as the grey shades so everything looks clearer and cuts the glare down significantly (essentially blue blockers). This is my 3rd pair – first pair I left on top of my car and lost them, the 2nd pair I jumped into the lake and they sank to the bottom. I’ve not had any durability issues with them and I wear them a lot. There is only one other brand anywhere that I’ve found that has polarized safety glasses with the amber tint – these are the best – more durable and easier to see anything peripherally. My only complaint is not coming with a case – I haven’t found a good one that fits these yet. (If you know of a good case, reply with a link please!)
