I purchased the upgraded version of this stand. The manufacturer increased the size of of the stand thereby reducing the height of the center of gravity. This makes the stand safer. In addition, the stand is adjustable. I am very pleased with this phone stand. It works perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) smartphone. The quality of this stand is very high. It holds the phone with no danger of falling. The ability to be adjusted makes it worth the price. I have ordered a second stand to use in another location. I highly recommend this item.

It enables me to charge my phone while it’s in an upright position. It’s quite stable and my phone -when in horizontal position – looks like a tiny IMac. The adhesion is great, no danger of slipping. And really sturdy. So cute. Before when l talk to my daughters in Messenger, and the phone is vertically placed on my other holder they couldn’t hear me because the speaker is blocked. With this one, that’s not an issue. My youngest daughter wants one for herself.

We looked at many different models and chose this one, and it’s a winner. This stand for our iPhone is great ! It’s 100% aluminum ( there is NO plastic on it ) We bought the hinged model – and even the hinge is 100% aluminum so we are super impressed. We tried an iPhone 7 Plus, and angled the stand to try and have it flip over and were not able to do it – so a very well balanced model. We gave this 5 stars because we can’t see any fault with this specific model. The wire from the iPhone goes under and is fed through the back cutout, leaving no wires in the front. This vendor was also very quick at giving us a reply when we asked if this was all aluminum. Our TIP – stay clear of plastic stands, they just won’t last. Vendor was very speedy and very friendly ( this arrived in just 2 days ) Lamicall is an excellent vendor and has a great product.

The base does not seem long enough, and as a result it is very easy for the phone and stand to rock backwards when you touch the screen. This risks tipping it over and makes it harder to actually use the phone when it is on the stand. I will either have to keep something sturdier behind it to stop the tipping, or else velcro/tape it down to my desk.
You may also need either an extremely flexible USB cable or else get a cable with a 90 degree connector because a regular USB cable is a bit too stiff and requires more space at the base, meaning it sticks out forward or forcing you to tilt the phone back further. If you don;t the cable can actually lift the phone off the dock.
Other than that the stand looks good and is very lightweight.
Edit: Was sent a larger version of this Stand – the “T” version. Meant more for tablets but also works with phones. The longer base makes it much more stable and so as long as the phone is not put in there too upright, it does not tilt. As for the “A” stand originally reviewed, I used a couple of velcro dots to attach it to my desk and it no longer tilts backwards even if the phone is pretty upright in the holder. Upgraded rating by 1 star for good customer service.

Never thought I would need this but now I know I need 2. One for the office and one for home.
1. The stand is durable.
2. Easily adjustable tilting feature. Trust me, this feature comes in handy, both when your standing or charging your phone. Because of the height of where your phone sits in the upright position, in most cases you will not be able to charge your phone. The cord will not fit between the desk and the phone (please see pics). This tilt feature allows you to use the unit while charging. If they were to make it so it sat higher, then it would not really be convenient. This is the lesser of the 2 evils so to speak.
3. Great for working away on the computer and Skyping or even just keeping it in line of sight
4. I didn’t give it 5 stars because it is priced a little too high. However, it is a must have.

It’s alright. As in, my phone does sit on it so I can see it while I’m working. But I do have some problems with it:
– The room allowed for charging cables. I normally use a 90-degree charging cable, but had to switch to a regular one as there is not enough width at the bottom. Alright, I’m fine with that, I figured that might be an issue anyway. BUT: I don’t use thinner/cheaper/smaller charging cables; mine are all study and thick-braided. There is not enough room from the phone to the bottom of the stand to have these cables sit comfortable without forcing the cable to bend at the joint. To get around this I have to raise and tilt the stand quite a bit more than I was anticipating, so I have to raise my wrist quite a bit higher to use my phone.
– the second problem, and probably my biggest problem with it, is how unstable it is on the desk. It’s very light, and having to raise it higher with my cable problem, it becomes quite top-heavy and using my phone with my fingers while it’s docked just pushes the whole thing over. I now have to have it wedged up against my monitor so it has something keeping it from toppling from place when I use it. I wanted to place it more to the side of my office setup. I’ll have to look for something else to have it lean against — really not ideal.
I don’t want to use tape or something to keep it down as I would like to move it around with me and it would damage my already-flaking-desk to do that.
I’m a little on the fence about keeping it, but I had a big move and I bought this for my new office space a bit ago so I might be out of luck on the return window anyway. I’ll probably keep it until I get a better one. It is better than the nothing I had before.

I needed a stand for my Work-from-home office and it works great. The hinge, the only mobile part, feels sturdy yet manageable. Until I need to charge my phone… Seems the back pillar is not high enough to let my heavy-duty charge cable some room to naturally bend out of the way. To keep the phone at a reasonable angle, the cable snags at the table-top and adds stress at the connection level. Only ways to alleviate this is to rise the angle of the cradle or get myself a new 90º angled USB-C cable. Hope it helps next design iterations.
