I like this Casio watch because it’s reliable, easy to use, and displays everything I want to see in a quick glance (day of the week, time, date including year.) My last watch was also a Casio and it still works fine, but the strap broke after 2-3 years of daily use. I expect in almost every case that the strap will wear out on a Casio well before the watch fails. This model doesn’t have a timer, only a stop-watch, so I suppose there is one relatively simple function that maybe should have been added. I use my cell phone as a timer now, so it’s not like I’m missing the feature on my watch. I find it to be comfortable on my wrist. The strap is not rubberized so it doesn’t grab or pinch, but it probably will last about as long as my last watch. For the price I’m perfectly ok with that lifespan. Wearing it on my left wrist I have noticed, in one month of use, that I occasionally toggle the bottom right button accidentally (12hr/24hr clock.) I’m probably pressing the top right button too, but it’s the backlight so no harm done. One small but helpful feature I appreciate is the quiet beep that sounds as you cycle through each menu function. There is a distinctly different beep when you get back to the main “time” function, which lets me get there without looking at the watch. If you’re looking for a simple, daily use watch that is comfortable to wear and could almost be considered ‘disposable’, then I recommend this one.

I’ve been looking to get myself a watch for a little while now and I have to say this one fits really well on my wrist. Being a window washer I needed it to be waterproof and I have to say, so far so good, I never had any problems with the waterproofing on this watch. I must say though that the glass gets scratched easily. I do tend to bang it around a lot but after only 2-3 months of use it is now pretty scratched up.

I purchased this watch on 2017-12-02 for $14.97 CAD. At the time of this review, it’s been 5 months and 7 days. This watch continues to impress me.
I first synchronized the watch using the official NIST US Time clock (time.gov). It uses the atomic clock and corrects for network delay, so it’s probably the most accurate way to check verify the timing. I then (>5 months later) used a camera to record the watch and computer screen simultaneously and measured the number of frames between the watch and computer displaying a time value. I calculated a time difference of 1.43 SECONDS.
Now, your watch may vary as time drift is dependant on temperature and uncontrollable factors in the crystal. I may have won the Quartz lottery with a very precise crystal. That said, I’m very pleased with this watch’s accuracy.

This is an ugly watch and won’t win many style awards, but it displays so much information on the main dial, including the year. In the other modes it also displays the time at the bottom!
The alarm can be set to daily alarm, single alarm, once a month, or every day for a certain month.
It lacks a countdown timer out of the box; HOWEVER, there is a hardware modification that can be done to the board that will unlock it, but depends on whether you have the right module (3240 in my case). See the photo I included for proof.
Also, the strap is a little long for thinner wrists. But, this can be remedied by using the strap from a Casio F91W and putting on thinner spring bars than the stock spring bars on the W800H.
UPDATE – May 2020: I still own this watch and have been wearing it a lot during the Covid lockdown. Here are things that I really appreciate about it now –
1) It shows EVERYTHING at a quick glance; 2) It has a dedicated light button, it is used for light only, unlike the light button on the other cheap Casios that are shared with other functions (which is such a pain!); 3) It actually has a very good light; 4) The buttons are easy to press, unlike those on my G-Shock – this is great when the alarm goes off and you are trying to disable it while half asleep.

J’ai quand même un petit poignet de fille mais je trouve qu’elle épouse bien la forme des poignets et est très confortable à porter! Je dors même avec et j’ai essayé beaucoup de montre dont je ne suis pas capable de la laisser une journée entière. La seule chose, c’est qu’elle est difficile à régler même avec le manuel d’utilisation et j’ai pas compris comment mettre le double alarme mais c’est peut-être seulement moi qui est de cet avis! Sinon, très satisfaite

Had for 2 months. Great watch so far, will continue to be my daily watch for the foreseeable future.
Pro’s – Quick to set time – Quick to change time (travel to another timezone) – Stopwatch is nice – Fully watertight (went swimming with it for 1 hour and had no issues with water/clourine)
cons – light on it is bright enough to read display in middle of night, but light is clearly in bottom left corner and bleeds across the display (minor thing for me). If that is the trade off for an estimated 10 year lifespan, thats good for me.

Finally being able to find time to wear this watch, right from the package I knew it looked off, it seems like this watch was returned or used before me purchasing… It came with no manual, none of the protective film on the glass was visible, watchband had a fingerprints all over the watch itself. VERY disappointed, and didn’t expect this to happen. It’s too bad as I have had many Casio watches in my lifetime, and buying on here was my first bad experience. Who wants a used watch? Definitely not me! I paid for something in full no discount nothing. It was easy to set up as like I said I’ve had a watch from this brand before. Part im upset set is that it’s used!
