My phone is not easy to hold on this product and not easy to take it out too

Spring break inside and not holding the phone, but when was working first week everything was fine.

First off, it’s super easy to install. The springs are tight out of the box and it has a very solid feel attached to my dashboard. I am replacing the suction cup cradle that no longer holds my phone securely (iPhone 11). I work a lot on the road in the film industry and having your phone drop to the floor on the highway is not acceptable.
I like that this sits in your line of sight directly in front of the steering wheel. It sits high enough for maps but not so high as to be a distraction on the road. The clamp that holds the phone seems tight as is the clamp that latches to the dash. All-in-all it seems (initially) to be very stable and secure.
Should this change in the near future, I will edit and update. For now, I am quite happy with the purchase.

I am overall very happy with this product. The greatest downfall I would say is it sometimes does come off my dash with little distance. I’m not sure what if anything could be done about that as it could just be the challenge of my dash. Other than that I’m very pleased with it and have tried many other products that suction to my window or mount other ways and have not been happy. They have always falling down and/or broken. So far so good with this one. It seems very durable and I think it would be a challenge to break.
Before purchasing I read about the challenges of inserting phone into the holder, it takes a little getting used to but in my opinion is well worth it. I feel my phone is held securely.

This mount clamps securely to the instrument cluster pod in my 2004 F150. There is slight vibration when you go over bigger bumps, but it maintains its position nicely. I have an S10+ with a Heart rubber Case and it fits, just. It is a little awkward putting the phone in or taking it out but it is held securely.

Parfait pour mon iPhone; support solide, stable et facile d’installation. Rotation dans tout les sens et retient bien mon cellulaire en place . Pour ceux qui ont un plus gros cellulaire avec un case de protection épais , ça peut être très juste ou incompatible , bien lire les dimensions du produit avant d’acheter !

Update July 12: absolute junk! Do not buy! The cheap plastic cannot handle the sun, and melts making it soft and loses the grip as it flexes cuz of the spring. This is garbage!!!
I bought this for a vehicle I dont drove very often. Doesn’t really work on vehicle I have it in.
It sort of does, but not really. It’s doing the job, but I really should have returned this and got something else.
It sucks for the following reasons:
1) It’s a hassle to remove an iPhone 12 Pro Max from it. The whole base comes off while you try to slide the phone out while pressing the two buttons at the rear to release the pressure on the phone.
(putting the phone in, isn’t any better)
2) The clips that hold the phone, are terribly placed!. At least with this phone, if I put the phone nice and centereted in the mount, the clips that hold it land exactly where the POWER BUTTON and the VOLUME UP buttons are. So sometimes it gives the POWER OFF options…..some it takes a SCREEN SHOT….others is shuts off the screen
3) Supposedly works on portrait and on landscape position. It does NOT! On Landscape, the phone doesn’t remain horizonta, since to avoid the phone hold clips from hitting the buttons, you have to put the phone off centered and put more weight on one end than the other.
4) it comes with a tool to tighten screws on it, but the tool isn’t the right size for the screws on it, so you can’t really tighten screws to control unwanted movement that it has otherwise…..
all around, NOT a well thought out product.

The product is above average quality but the process of putting the phone and releasing it is not easy and if you like to have your phone horizontally , you need both hands to release your device when you reach your destination.
If you are the type of person who is constantly on the road, this is NOT what you need.
In addition I have also noticed a dent start to be very visible on my dash board, the rubber support it has is not that efficient.

Broke in a matter of weeks dropped my phone while I was driving… mount is useless now can’t hold my phone and if one wasn’t bad enough I got 2 of them both with the same problem

Eventually as the phone has to be off balance (in landscape mode) the screw loses grip and you can watch your phone slide around to portrait mode with a nice view of your dashboard. Maybe if I take it apart and put some rubber washer it might be ok, or it might totally strip whatever the nut is, probably plastic. No matter you will have to self engineer this pos. Also the supplied screwdriver / hex key (WHY?!) is useless.
Update: as I bought 2, like a fool, the one that only requires readjustment every block or so has started to get the other screw that holds it vertical getting loose. Avoid this junk.
