The Brita water filters are very good, excellent in keeping your drinking water healthy without having to purchase bottled water every week. For those who don’t know, after extensive research, the Brita water filters only remove contaminants and excess pollutants. Unlike some filters, the Brita water filter will not completely remove all the minerals in the water so you won’t be losing out on the minerals of normal bottled water (though levels do vary based on your geographical/provincial region). Installation is simple with just a few seconds of rinsing the filter under cold water and a few filters (about 1-2 for me) before you can drink the water completely safely (be sure to check the water for carbon contaminants from the first few times you filter water). The price here is similar to that of buying at a store, but on Amazon, the tax seems to be lower and you get it shipped to your doorstep (Ontario resident here). Would recommend. I will probably subscribe after I find how long it takes me to use up my current five filters. If you have old filters and packaging, save it, you can recycle them! Great product from a great company.

Terrible customer service.
I have been using brita for 2 years
Several months ago, my 2nd filter among 5 seemed to have a defect.
Unlike previous filters, it made a lot of black particles even showed black water.
I requested CS to change a new one or refund.
Very first time, they asked me purchase date, price, site and even my address.
But they never answered again after i gave them all information which they asked me.
After 4 times my request, they finally answered me NO.
This is very natural and does not harm at all.
What the Xxxx
I am not the fool and i totally know how to use this filter.
I never want to feed 1 year old baby the water from this filter.
Totally disappointed.

I don’t think it filters anything as the tap water taste has little improvement. the flow of water was fine the first day but the 2nd day, it comes in trickles. rendering the filter useless.
replacement order have same issue. very slow to filter. water runs smooth first day. then slow to 4 drops after all dust are settled.

I don’t remember since how long in years I am buying the Brita filters, but they are our everyday companions to work over the water we drink and cook with. They are what we need at an affordable price, we are changing it every 3 months. That’s perfect ! Thank you !

The building where I was built in 1970, and I don’t think anyone has changed them since, hence, water has a distinct taste. I’ve decided to go with Brita because their filters are available everywhere.
I have no complaint about the quality of water coming out of the filters. But some individual filters have a tendency to clump up and let only a few drops of water come through at a time until you shake them a few times and wash them from the bottom side, which might get annoying at times, especially if you get a particularly clump-prone filter.
Overall great filter, with some minor hick-ups.

The filter that came with brita container filtered slowly and the water tasted good. Much different taste than straight from the tap. I purchased this 5 pack and the first one I used the water gushed through the filter like the filter didn’t exist and the water tasted just like the tap water. I thought maybe there was one dud in the 5 pack. I just used another filter from the 5 pack and have the same results. These filters are garbage.

Ironically, I purchased these filters to replace my Brita Longlast filters after having 4 defective ones in a row and giving up on that product.
These “Advanced” filters seem to work well so far. Water filters quickly in a respectable amount of time, about 3 minutes for my 8 cup Brita Marina pitcher. Tastes equal to the water from the Longlast filters I was using. No funny tastes, removes odours as advertised (strong chlorine smell from my city water) and no visible particles floating in the water. I guess time will tell how well these perform over the long-term. If I do not post an update, you can assume they are still performing well. Only needs to last 2 months, hopefully Brita didn’t screw that up.
Brita says “no pre-soak” required which is misleading as you are required to run 3 full pitchers of water through the filter and discard before you can begin drinking. I guess you could say pre-rinse x3 required.
Not great durability as Brita recommends you change these about every 2 months which sounds too frequent to me and thus not so great value for money either. Also the added aggravation of having to order these frequently or alternatively buy in bulk and then store somewhere for a year. I liked the idea of the Longlast as they were every 6 months, too bad they don’t work.
Pros:
– Can be fairly cheap when on sale
– Produces respectable clean tasting water
– Quick filtering (so far)
Cons:
– Replace every 2 months
– Required pre-rinse despite advertising no pre-soak

This is OVER PRICED Garbage compared to Zero water !
i tested the water & Brita barely removed anything.
My tap water usually registers around 165 ppm.
Zero water after filtering usually tested 0 or 1 ppm
Brita tested around 105-110 ppm
Brita is GARBAGE !
