The Brita jug was a Christmas gift, and it turned out to be the best Gift! I love that I use less plastic bottles and the water is always fresh and cold. So easy to fill after pouring a glass and the visual replacement meter lets me know when to replace the filters. This 3 pack is good value and will make sure I don’t run out, the filters are bit hard to install because they fit so tight.

Brita water filters along with the container (obviously) reduces plastic in our environment. What more can I say? I’d also like to add that the reviews I read prior to purchasing the filters are foreign to me and many others. I’ve had my Brita jug for 5 years and never experienced any of the negative reviews. This is 1st time I ordered filters from Amazon due to health issues. Priced same as the stores. A sale would be nice occasionally.

Bought this for my daughter studying abroad. Lid doesn’t seal well and filter was dented. The water was flowing around filter and draining around lid. Replaced with a new filter and its working a bit better but not great. As she is far out of north america , I cannot return. Recommend you look for a different brand. This item was purchased as a necessity. Believe the poor reviews on Amazon. I wished I had.

They work well AFTER you get an o-ring to seal them. After seeing the issue others have, water leaking AROUND the filter instead of going through it, and making very certain it was correctly seated, I put a thin rubber o-ring around the filter (most hardware stores carry these) which is reusable (I’ve had one o-ring for 7 filters so far). The o-ring makes seating it firmer as I push the filter in, and SEALS the filter so water must go through it. Get a thin one, it must fit between the filter and the wall of the insert area. I put the ring about 3/4″ from the top of the filter, then push it in, and I can feel the o-ring “rolling” up the filter as I push and it seats the filter in very firm and tight. **See pics. This about a 2″ o-ring, and they are cheap. Brita should use this idea and send a small o-ring with each 3 pack or pitcher.
I think people who are complaining about the water quality don’t realize the water is leaking around the filter and not being filtered. After the O-Ring, it takes MUCH longer for the water to go through the filter, so I know it’s working.

The Brita Water Filter 3-pack is a good purchase on Amazon. It is on par with store pricing, however for the lazy folks, it does come with free shipping (for Amazon Prime members) right to your house. I have been trying it for several weeks and it does seem to filter some materials from the water. That being said, like all water filters, the filtration is limited and you would still receive that chloric-taste. Overall, the Brita water filters are somewhat pricey, but it is convenient and it does the job.

The first filter I used from the pack of 3 was fine, after replacing the the first one, it was taking hours to filter the water and most time it didn’t even go down, so after one day I threw the second one away and tried the last one and had the same issue, the third one was even worse and i saw white and black particles in the water, I’ve seen the black ones before and I’ve read that they’re safe but I’ve never seen the white ones before. So I only got to use 1 out of the 3.

These were “only for Prime members” so I waited (and waited) until they were available to everyone. At less than six bucks each it’s as good as you get unless there’s an exceptional sale somewhere, which is not often.
Edit: Jan 21/18 I’m going to have to start include what an item cost at the time of purchase when I post reviews. Value is a big consideration for me, regardless of the product’s quality. One star off for bumping the price from <$18 🙁

I don’t know if this is an authentic product. It’s made our water taste metallic and a black oil-like film settles in the bottom of the pitcher. We thought it might just be at first use but we filled the pitcher 6x (and thrown out the water and cleaned the pitcher itself) and nothing changed.

I do not feel any major difference in the water ph or taste of the water. It is just I trust the name of the brand and most of the family & friends are using it. So I started using it. Mentally I feel safe. Also, as a product, I feel there is a minute flavour of carbon in the water. and the filter is cleanly processed, packed and shipped. cheaper to buy 3 as a combo. Follow the mark on the filter, it fits within few seconds. But is recommended it to pass it through water a couple of times before actually using it.

After initially putting in the new filter, it filtered through very fast but after about 1 week it began filtering very slowing. After three weeks it was taking around 3 hours to filter a full 10 cup pitcher of water. I will be contacting the seller, as this shouldn’t be happening, the ones I have bought in store did not have this problem. I would not recommend buying because you are not saving any money buying the 3 pack when you have to change the filter every 3 weeks.
