BONECO Aqua Pro 2-in-1 Humidifier Filter A250

Nice new redesigned filter for my Air-O-Swiss humidifier with an easier setup. This filter only needs to be put under running water for 2 minutes before its first use, unlike the old filters that required 24 hour soak time. Also now the filter is a 2-in-1, as the old filter only removed minerals, this filter now purifies the water as well. There is an included water test strip with the filter that tests for mineral content, and will tell you when to replace your filter. This filter does its job to purify the water and to keep minerals out of your humidifier, which is important since you are breathing that air.

Great improvement on the previous filter! I was troubled to find out during a recent visit to BBB that the old filter had been discontinued, but all the more excited to learn an enhanced version is now available for the same price yet twice the effectiveness! I still use the hydro cell in conjunction to keep my water as pure as possible, but would feel far more comfortable even using this one on its own. My Air-o-Swiss humidifier seems to require less cleaning and this makes far less noise than its predecessor as the humidifier doesn’t seem to work as hard and the water doesn’t make as frequent of displacement noises.

Hats off to the manufacturer for producing a replacement filter that did not render “older” humidifiers obsolete!

We have been using, for some years now, the air-o-swiss humidifier, which requires a water filter. Using the older design cartridges, we needed at least 3 for the winter season. We have used the Boneco last winter for the first time; one single cartridge for 6 month, better economy, better performance.

I have two of the boneco humidifiers and decalcify / clean them per manual.
However having had these for two years now, I have come to realize these filters that last ‘up to six months’ do not even last a month before spewing mist that has white powder that gets all over the condo unit.
My water is on the softer side as confirmed by their water testing strips that come with each filter so these should be lasting much much longer.
Looks like I need to throw more money at another humidifier.

Great replacement for the older A7531 cartridge. You run it under water for 2 minutes before using it – no more soaking for 24 hours, which you had to do with the older cartridge. It also performs the function of the Hydro Cell, so that is no longer needed either.

Worked great for a year. We only used distilled water in it to prevent mineral deposit build up from our hard well water. We loved it. Then when we replaced the Boneco water filter after a year, it did not work at all! We followed all the instruction of running water into the filter for 2 minutes before installing, but the red “no water” light came on even though it was filled full with distilled water. It did not work at all! Don’t know if the filter was defective or the humidifier just failed. Couldn’t get it to work at all. We then, foolishly, went & bought another Boneco, same model, & received it yesterday, & it did NOT WORK from the get go! Same thing, red light came on, even though filter was soaked for 2 min & tank was full. We are having to return it. Its a great design, easy to fill & operate, & does the job of humidifing a bedroom, but it either has a major mechanical problem, or there is something wrong with the Boneco filters. They need to take it off the market & fix this malfunction. I can not recommend this product at all.
