I am using these to hook into a TV, to hear better than those silly TV speakers that reflect off the wall. This baby pretty much does the trick. Got an Anker Bluetooth headset to go with it and it works: unobtrusive (small enough that you can’t even see it from the front of the TV), sound seems to be synchronized with the picture, and you can either mute the TV or keep the sound on (for the kids, who can hear at much more reasonable volumes than their ol’ mom!).
I can’t comment on longevity – just got it yesterday – but it was easy to set up (including pairing with the headset), worked right away, and sounds fine. I like that there is more than one way to connect; tested the optical as well as the headphone jack inputs, and they both seem to work fine.
Bottom line: I would buy it again.

This product eventually worked as I had hopped. One issue was that there was”noise” in the background when charging and listening to the source audio (Netflix). Thankfully it went away after disconnecting the micro USB charger. The other issue I had was that it came with the volume switch set to “High”. Again there seemed to be a fair bit distortion(?) or noise at this setting so after following the instructions on how to properly switch the volume setting to “low” the issue was resolved.
In case my “setup” plays a part in what I experienced, I’m using it with a desktop computer sitting within 1 meter (3+ feet) of the transmitter pairing to a set of Parrot ZIK Bluetooth headphones.

I researched a way to connect bluetooth to a tv for a elderly neighbour of mine who wanted to use wireless headphones for what hing tv. I eventually came across this one which works with an optical audio cable (and aux and stereo jack as well) bought it for him and it worked great!
Just bought a second one for my parents for the same purpose. Works like a charm, comes with the cables and extremely easy to set up. Can pair 2 headsets to it as well which is perfect. I’d recommend this product and seller for sure. Thanks!

Bought this because of price and dual feature.
Found the setting up a wee bit complex but took my time and worked through it slowly and it all came together.
In fact once I had it set up it seemed to be quite seamless, result.
I think there is a bit of latency but we have bought very cheap headphones and the instructions give a bit of information on that and the next set we buy will be better.
If I need another, I will buy this again.

I’ve been trying to find a way to get 2 echo devices to act as speakers on my samsung TV so I don’t have to have the tv at full volume to hear it from the other side of the room. The built in bluetooth only allows one connection, so I found this little device.
Unfortunately, it was a little fiddly to configure, but I did manage to get both devices connected, but the sound was a good 1/4 second out on lipsync, even when right next to the device / TV. As the TV bluetooth was out of sync with a single device, this was a risk that I was willing to take.
However, I found then if connected to both devices, it will drop in and out rapidly, and then after a few seconds, one speaker stop outputting anything, even though it says that its still connected. It would then be slightly difficult to “reset” the whole thing to try again.
I now have to see if I can find another use for it (I doubt it) or send it back 🙁

A super little device…if you don’t have an amplifier & want to get sound via Bluetooth to a Bluetooth speaker from your sky box or TV then this is the gadget for you. Simply plug it into your optical in socket on the back of your tv/sky box and bingo…sound. Recommend

I like this product has very good quality of sound
IPhon the instructions little bit difficult to understand And pair the transmitter with my TV
I think it’s a good product and I like the price
I recommend this product to younger people who are eligible To work with this transmitter
Maybe it’s me I’m little bit older having difficulty to pair the transmitter with a TVAnyway the transmitter has low latency and I recommend it to other people

There’s a very, very little latency. But you can go into settings of your tv to set it to work with that delay, so it’s barely noticeable. Its a really great product, configuration is extremely simple. It connect automatically to your headset after it is paired, which means you only have to turn on TV, the transmitter will automatically turn on at the same time because of the USB power supply connected to the TV. After that you turn on your headset. Like I said, really simple and straightforward, so I don’t have to worry about my dad calling me because ”the headset doesn’t work”. I can finally meditate, sleep, or study in peace while my half deaf father listen to TV. I don’t think I would go back to the old days.

When I first got the item, it worked fine minus some technical issues. For ex, connecting my headphones took somewhere from 10-15sec and few tries. As my usage progressed, I started to notice more issues. Near the 1 year of usage, my range went down to just 10m max (in sight or not), frequently it’ll drop the connections for few seconds and reconnect even though I’m sitting 3m away from it. Now, the audio stutters; it comes in increments rather than smooth flow. When I first got the item and had some issues, contacted the seller but no response. Since it was just the connection time issue, it didn’t bother me much. But now its completely useless and warranty has ended, so basically my $50 went in drain. I understand electronics have life expectancy but that doesn’t mean it should only last for warranty period. Overall, bad product and stay away.

Whatever you do, don’t buy this product to use with BT Headphones to watch TV. Setting it up dependant upon your own person set (with cable etc) isn’t explained, and as I’ve discovered really difficult (and I’m somewhat tech savvy).
Also their 1-800 is defunct (at least not reachable from Canada) and the 408-791-xxxx phone number is a personal phone number, and not Tech Support.

Not recommended for Bluetooth 2.0 headsets – according to the manufacturer you need Bluetooth 3.0 to use the high-quality aptX codec, otherwise it reverts to lower quality codecs.
I’m using it with two Bluetooth 2.0 headsets; I can connect both units with only a little hassle, but the connection is often weak and sometimes very unstable.
Sometimes the background sound will drop away, and sound will only cut back in with spoken dialogue. Sometimes a channel will drop and sound will only come out of one side of the headsets. Often the headset signal will drop entirely after perhaps an hour, meaning you have to stop a film, switch the headset off and on and wait up to 5 minutes for the transmitter to re-pair with it.
I’ve stopped using the unit while plugged in to the charging cable; this sometimes appears to interfere with the transmission and introduce background static. I’ve also tried using an audio extension cable to move the transmitter to within 2m of the headsets, which helps a little. The advert shows it being used while a baby sleeps, but you should be aware that this suffers from the same interference problems from having a baby-monitor near-by as many other devices.
Unfortunately I’d have better audio quality and have spent less money on a cable solution, but newer Bluetooth headset uses may not have the same issues.

I have two Dockin D-fine speakers that I wanted to play in stereo. My iPhone 7 doesn’t currently allow this but the Homespot bluetooth transmitter allowed me to pair the speakers in conjunction with Spotify on my iPad. I am pleased with this product.

I don’t have the best hearing, so when I want to watch TV before bed and not wake up the whole house, this transmitter is perfect. I paired it up with my beats headphones, and the set up is just perfect. Being able to input digital audio, it’s awesome. Slight delay when compared to the TV speaker, but if the speaker is off you won’t notice any lag between the video and the audio.
