I don’t know who in their right mind gives this flimsy, slipshod, excuse for an appliance 5 stars, but after a month and half already the bagel light and defrost lights have stopped working. It has no removable crumb tray so be prepared to flip the whole thing upside down over the sink. It has two settings. Burnt and Raw. Anything in between you need to be psychic to the find the right setting. And the Bagel feature never worked properly from DAY ONE! It continued to burn the bagels on both sides!! Collecting a B&D warranty would cost me more than I paid for it. The only bright thing I can suggest is to buy one for your ex-wife’s second wedding present. 😛

The toaster was what I was looking for when it came to getting a new one. It’s sleeker and not as bulky as some other toasters out there. With the entire unit being stainless steel with the exception of the back and bottom, makes it modern and easy to clean. The sides do get hot after using it so just be careful with that.

Très contente du rapport qualité prix, pas trop cher, tout en métal, semble solide. Il fonctionne très bien. J’étais habituée à un toaster un peu plus haut de gamme avec des petites fonctionnalités “cute”, j’avoue qu’elles me manquent un peu, ce toaster est vraiment de base, il grille le pain, point. Pour le prix, c’est bien parfait.

This is my 4 th toaster in the last 6 years. This one is the worst by far:
-bottom of the toasts ends up MUCH darker than the tops. Also one side is darker than the other side.
-buttons do not light up when you press them so you dont know if it is pressed or not.
-Narrow slots.
-1 star for not being DOA and it looks good.
I’d stay away from this one, just my experience with this toaster.

i needed a new toaster fast. so amazon, duh.
i get this lovely piece of stainless steel goodness and plug it in. now i’m no engineer, but toast doesnt happen until you do that.
getting used to a new toaster after 10 years with another is kind of like a new s/o. they may fart in bed, but after awhile you do too.
i like my toast like my coffee. blacker than the gates of hell, but without someone calling 911. my old one set off the alarm before Maillard makes himself known. but this one takes some fiddle faddling around to get the right setting. but other than that…
you plug it in, put something in it. press the plunger. something comes out moments later hotter. magic.

My husband did a quick order on this since ours Black and Decker finally gave out after 10 years. This toaster looks nice but upon first use, it quickly burnt our toast. You literally have to put your settings on ONE if you don’t want anything burnt. Even THREE burnt both sides of the bagels. There is no retractable cord, which we’ve been used to for so long, so it’s a bugger to us that you have to wrap the cord around the bottom about two times. But you also need to insert the cord into clips. It’s something that I don’t have much time for during busy mornings with three little ones. I’m considering retuning it.

Very disappointed in this product, bought it thinking it should be alright made by black and decker, however I was wrong. Stopped working as expected in two months. Toaster is broken, the lever would not pop up it gets stuck. Still would not pop up by pressing any of the buttons causing the toast to burn if it’s not being monitored.

Great product but like any stainless steel peoduct, as soon as you touch it it leaves marks on it and you have to clean it. It also gets burning hot when you toast your bread.. would recommend not touching the toaster while and after toasting not to burn yourself, don’t know if that’s normal?

We have been using this toaster almost daily since we purchased it, and we love it.
Love that you can toast 4 things at once…definitely a must have with kids. Also, like that you can adjust it for frozen items or bagels.
The slots are a good size, even for fresh sliced bread from something like a crusty Italian loaf.
It IS powerful, in that if you have the temperature dial on a high number, it will easily burn things. I really don’t think this is an issue. I just started out with a lower setting and based our general toasting setting off of those initial trials. It doesn’t bother me that I have to keep the dial set lower for everyday toasting. Honestly, I feel like that is consistent with other toaster we have owned. I have also had no issues with uneven toasting (darker on one side than the other). It toasts beautifully.
It’s also a very attractive toaster! Love the stainless steel look…very sleek and modern. A much needed upgrade from our previous black plastic embarrassment.
Some people complained about fingerprints…it’s stainless steel…it goes with the territory. I wipe it off to keep it looking sleek and clean, just like any other stainless steel item we own. If you don’t like having to do a quick wipe down, don’t go with stainless steel.
Overall, we have had no issues with this toaster and would recommend it!

I bought this 2-3 months ago and today morning when i wanted to toast bread for breakfast it just brown down??? Like it didnt even turn on.
i spoke to amazon customer service and they ask me to speak to another company that deals with Black+Decker warranty since it was already out of amazon’s return period of 30 days.
I went back and forth with the company on the phone and emails. They told me they will send a new one. Initially they asked me to pay another $7 handling fee but in the end i didnt have to.
I received a new one yesterday and yet to try it out. Its the same model and I hope it lasts longer than the first one did

Sent bent like someone used it like a foot stool and it doesnt cook even. When i tried for a refund they required me to drive it to a drop off because i live out of town. Just wanted to trade it out when the guy came to drop it off but i guess that makes too much sense

We needed to replace our toaster. We purchased this Black and Decker model. Although it is lower in price it has all the functionality we wanted. It does a very good job. For a low price you get Black and Decker quality.

Need to be careful when adjusting the settings. When I turn it past mid setting it will quickly turn your toast to roast. Burnt several slices until I learned to keep it just a bit below center setting.
