Muy practica ya que no necesitas de colador para retirar el agua!! Ya es la 5a que compro porque algunas las he regalado! Compre en negro, rojo y morado! Pero recomiendo mas la negra porque las de los otros colores se manchan con la flama de la estufa muy rápido! Está un poco elevado el precio pero vale la pena por el uso que se les da!

I bought this as a gift for my young grandson who likes to cook ramen noodles but is worried about burning himself with the boiling water. The lid hooks on, making it easy and safe for him to pour out the boiling water. The holes are small enough that the ramen noodles don’t spill out. It’s super easy to clean. Really happy we bought this pot!

The Bialetti pasta pot is the best and most lightweight and versatile pot we’ve ever had. The first two we owned were purchased in ignorance of how amazing they were and lasted over 10 years. It was a shock to see the current price but researching the alternatives led to choosing the same pot again. We love the all black finish and of course it works beautifully like the previous ones. We cannot recommend it highly enough!

The lid twists on securely and the water escapes very well.
There is a huge flaw though, the handle on the lid is only held by a tiny screw and a small plastic clip. A plastic clip. On a twist-to-secure lid. Someone hadn’t drank their morning coffee when designing this…
Predictably, that plastic tab snapped right off within 5 minutes of pulling it out of the box.
WB Weld to the rescue.
If it weren’t fort hat plastic tab, it would have been a 5 star purchase. Love the purple color…

We bought this pot with low expectations. We cook a lot of pasta and have used a regular pasta pot previously. We find it easy to cook and drain pasta using it. The oval shape is great allowing us to completely submerge the raw pasta. Draining the pasta is easy although I find the lid should be easier to lock for draining.

First, the seemingly garish colour: it’s much more attractive than the photo shows (more like dark plum). The pot does what it promises, i.e., the easy cooking and draining of long pasta (like spaghetti) and, of course, anything else you want to boil. The lid is easily locked into place, and the mechanics of draining are easily done. I like to poach whole chicken, and it did a perfect job with a standard 4-5 lb. roaster. Given its non-stick interior and fairly heavy base, it should work very well with other dishes (like stews and curries). Very pleased with it.

Ça fait des années que nous utilisons un pasta pot et ça fait plusieurs que nous avons usés. Je ne réussissais plus à en trouver dans les magasins alors que ne fut pas ma joie dans trouver un ici.
Il est parfait et même de meilleure qualité que tous ceux que nous avons eu avant.

The Gialetti pot with its perforated lid is an ingenious item for the kitchen. It may seem to be too large for some, but no matter as one need merely cook the volume needed….I cook for myself mostly and a bit of usage will show up how much to cook in it for one alone. My first cookery with it was potatoes for a salad and it was ideal to drain off the water. It’s also not too heavy, perhaps for its 10/8 stainless steel construction, but just heavy enough to give confidence that it will heat well….the aluminium base also would contribute to the distribution of heat of course. The lid twists into place well, and the perforations also act as a steam vent in the cooking process. One must remember though not to twist it too tightly as that creates a seal more difficult to open when its hot. I am quite enthused over this potware and wanted to recommend it asap for others to consider. Previously I had used a carbon pot with its perforated basket hanging inside the pot which would swing and drain when tilting to pour off cooking water….it worked well too, but this Bialetti with the perforated lid exceeds that design in my opinion.

Convenient for cooking pasta but the listing says the handles are heat resistant which they are most certainly are not. We have a gas cooktop and the handles got extremely hot by the time the water was boiling, so I do not advise grabbing the handles with your bare hands.

Very, very happy with this product. Have an old one I used to death, and now this one has found a good home! Not just for pasta…Cook potatoes, veggies – whatever you want. So easy to drain you can say goodbye to the pot holders or towels you’ve been using to drain hot liquids without worrying about burning yourself or having everything fall out into the sink (that’s happened to just about everybody!)
Looking forward to using this one ‘to death’ too! Highly recommended.

I had been looking for this pot for a while, had bought one in the past at Canadian Tire. This one is a little different as it’s more oval than round but love the little holes on top. Was left outside my door however so wasn’t happy about that.
