I’ve gone through a couple of other ear buds as they have fallen out of my ears while commuting. One set lost between the train platform and the car and another one ear popped out while biking and was lost in the grass beside the path. I thought the Apekx would work best as they have the ear hooks and so far I was right.

They fit well in my ears and the hooks have helped keep them in place or act as a warning as you can feel if the buds shift.
The hooks are really soft and don’t scratch or bother your ear, I really don’t feel them when on unless the buds shift.
I can wear sunglasses while using the hooks, they don’t seem to interfere with each other significantly.
I have not tried the other style of hooks included for any length of time as I’m happy with the default hooks.

The case is large to accommodate the hooks. An earlier reviewer said it’s like a bar of soap, that’s a very accurate description. You likely aren’t just going to toss it into your pants pocket but it’ll fit in your commuter bag quite fine. The trade off for the large case is not losing your ear buds.

Sound is as one would expect from ear buds. I think there is some bass and they seem plenty loud. The buds sit well in my ears therefore the sound is more contained. I have been mostly wearing these biking recently and they sound well and keep out most wind noise.

One tip I have on charging, I noticed one of my buds wasn’t charging (red lights wouldn’t come on) and I figured out the ear hook holder wasn’t aligned. I had taken it off to try the other type of hooks and when I put it back on I didn’t push it high enough up the bud therefore the connectors weren’t seated right. Just thought I’d mention that in case others have the same issue.

Overall very happy as I think I found the right buds for me. I’m much less worried about losing these which will ultimately save me money.

DO NOT BUY THIS. You may see alot of positive reviews, but these are for people who got a different product. Look through them for photos and you will see that they are different.

The seller is hijacking the goodwill of other reviewers in order to inflate their product’s appeal.

The headphones are completely worthless due to the fact the ear hooks are as flimsy as overcooked pasta. They will not stay in your ear, and will fall out if you move in the slightest. Completely useless as an audio delivery mechanism.

PROS:

Fit and build – this was a big factor in my descision to purchase these. I do gymnastics and trapeze. Meaning I’m often upside down during training.

In comparison they are the best Bluetooth earbuds I’ve used when compared to MPOW, TaoTronics, and airpods. I enjoyed using my MPOW Bluetooth plugs during light training, but found they weren’t reliable enough for more intense training or activities like running. Apple airpods were horrible, I felt them slipping around just walking around briskly, as well as the TaoTronics which were too clunkly to stay in my ears.

I just worked out with these in and had zero problems! The hooks keep them in your ear securely, they’re light, and the shape of the earplug itself is tilted so they don’t slip out. This alone makes them worth it of you’re looking for headphones you can actually train in. The earhook is also made out of soft silicone, so it doesn’t hurt even after hours of wear.

Touch controls – These do NOT have touch control. Instead, they have a button you need to physically push. This is actually a plus for me, as I found the touch control on my the other Bluetooth earbuds was too sensitive. They’d constantly trigger during exercise due to me touching them (lightly I may add), or even just some hair brushing up against them, and I definitely couldn’t shower in them as the water pressure would activate the touch controls. With these I don’t have that issue. I’m curious to see whether or not I can swim in them (the water pressure would turn the others off with the touch controls), but I’ll ask the manufacturer first so I don’t accidentally break them.

Sound quality – These are pretty decent. The quality isn’t the best (about on the same level as TaoTronics), but once you adjust them in your ears so they sit correctly they sound pretty decent and have good output volume.

Connectivity – paired right out of the box with my P30, and worked all across my apartment. No complaints.

Battery life – An entire days use on max volume for me. I like that these earbuds don’t waste battery life for no reason like the TaoTronics and MPOWs would by flashing the LED while they were on.

CONS:

Voice notifications – These are terrible, and there’s no way to disable them. The voice stops your music and tells at you in a robotic tone that there’s an “incoming call” over and over again. Tabbing out of the call screen doesn’t make it go away either like with other headphones, the only way to make it stop is to reject the call which I don’t want to always do. Currently I’m using a call notification blocking app during my sessions to avoid it. In the future I hope they produce a new model that you can disable notifications in by putting your phone on silent. The beep that notifies you that the volume bis maximum or minimum is also terribly obnoxious.

Touch controls – while i like the fact that it’s not an actual touch system but rather a button, the controls are unintuitive. Ie. To make the volume louder you need to press the headphone 3 times rather than just holding it like in the MPOWs. This is extremely annoying as it’s an actual button so it loved around a lot in your ear.

The case – the comments about it looking cheap are true. Personally I don’t care, but I can see why some would be put off. It’s also micro USB rather than USB-C which is a little outdated and slow.

Overall they have some flaws, but they are the best option if you want Bluetooth headphones that being slip out or trigger touch controls during more intense workouts. If you don’t care too much about using them for sport then I’d suggest the MPOWs since those will give you touch control, slightly better sound quality, and no annoying voice notifications.

All my previous earbuds have been interconnected by a cable with a battery/controller.
All my previous earbuds have lasted 6 -12 month and then failed.
I do a lot of walking and running. I have averaged over 15,000 steps per day – every day.
I listen to podcasts and music on my earbuds for 3-4 hours per day – every day.
I am a very heavy earbud user and as such they just don’t last.
So I decided to go completely cable free.
The APEKX appealed to me because of the wrap around ear hooks.
When I run, the APEKX earbuds stay exactly fixed in position. This is great because the sound quality often changes depending on how the earbud is positioned in the ear. With cable interconnected earbuds the sound quality changes as the earbud wobbles around in the ear when running.
The cable is intermittently pulling on the earbud and the sound response changes as a consequence.
The sound quality of the APEKX earbuds is very good but not great. Speech sounds fine but music is a bit less satisfying.
I listen to music when running and find the music acceptably good enough to motivate my running pace.
The ear hooks make the sound reassuringly consistent and does not change during a run.
I also have the confidence that the earbuds will NEVER fall out.
The fixed position of the earbuds when running is fantastic.
The charging case is small enough to be comfortable in your pocket.
Battery life seems fine and lasts my 1 hour runs or 3 hour walks with no issues
I have owned this for 3 weeks and and love the way the ear hooks prevent fallout and keep the sound quality, fixed and consistent.
I cannot comment on reliability but I am convinced that the APEKX are are better for running than earbuds with an interconnecting cable.

When I received the ear buds, I tried them on right away just to see how comfortable they were around my ears because that has been my biggest problem, my ears are very sensitive. In the past, after 30 minutes or so I would have to take them off. Well; I’m pleased to say that these are just perfect. I don’t even feel them. I stopped wearing my old ear buds when I went biking because it was too painful, these ones are a pleasure to wear.

It took 2 minutes to pair up with my phone using Bluetooth, very clear calling sound, music quality is great. One thing I love about these, is that they work individually so if you choose to use only one, you can.
The ear buds can work up to 30 meters from your phone, after that, you need to find your phone. It comes with replacement ear tips and loops. You can even link it to you I pad to listen to music. The magnetic charging case is great, it charges very fast.

I think it’s a really good headset and the price is right.
