At first I loved this charger, the length was great and I had no other issues. This morning the charger broke however, after only one month of use. It fell apart while it was charging, the metal part got stuck in my phone and the rest of the charger broke off. Luckily I was able to get the metal piece out but I’m still left with no charger 🤷♀️
I’ve had many chargers and never have they broken like this. I really recommend just buying from some other brand. Not sure if it was just a bad batch or if they’re all not durable.

Worked initially, but for a couple of months now, I have been getting the “accessory not supported” error message and it won’t charge my iphone at all now. THIS is why I wait to provide reviews. I usually buy Anker product, their battery banks are fantastic! But I am deeply disappointed in this purchase.
June 10 update—Anker has replaced this cable with an upgraded version. I will provide feedback once I have had sufficient time to review. Note: customer service is excellent from Anker, so I still feel confident buying from them as they stand by their product and are very responsive to their customers.

Purchased both PowerLine (6ft) and PowerLine II (6ft) on Mar 23. The shipping was super fast, received the package within 24 hrs even with just regular shipping. The products look very well made and sturdy. Tried both of them right away and were happy with the charging speed. however, on day 2, one cord started to act up, had to adjust it to a certain angle for it to work.Then, on day 3, it got even more finicky, kept saying “The accessory may not be supported” and the second cord was starting to act up as well. I mean, how can a lighting cable be labeled as MFi Certified be this bad, even my other dollar store ones lasted longer than this. This is the first time I’ve ever written a review in my entire life so it shows how unhappy and disappointed I am with Anker products. Now I’m gonna have to find out how to contact them to get my money back. Sigh…

After my initial review about the cable being incompatible with my MacBook Pro, the seller contacted me and offered a an upgraded cable. To be quite frank, I did not expect anything from writing a review. I accepted the complimentary offer and received a replacement cable within days. I tried the new and improved cable and voila, my MacBook approved. I was able to back up my phone and transfer files, photos and the works to my MacBook. Thank goodness I didn’t have to go to the apple store for an overpriced replacement cable. Anker surpassed my expectations. I will definitely purchase Anker products going forward. Great customer service experience speaks volumes.

I received 2 of the Anker Powerline II Lightning Cables a week ago. One of them is working great. However, one of them has broken after one week of use. I was pulling the cord straight out of my iPhone when the charging end of the cord broke off inside of my iPhone. I was able to get it out but the quality of my Anker Powerline II Lightning Cable was very poor. **Updated**
After my review I was contacted by Anker. They asked me for the number on the cord and for my mailing address. They then sent me another charge cord on their dime. That is how you keep customers happy. I will continue to buy Anker products. I am chalking this broken charge to bad luck. Thanks Anker.

1ヶ月ほど使っていますが、徐々に充電が開始されなくなってきました。
端子が炭っぽく黒くなり、金部分が削れているようにも見えます。
ケーブル自体は太く耐久性が高そうですが、
肝心のLightning端子に耐久性が弱いかもしれません

交換対応をしてもらいました
カスタマーサポートの対応は非常に迅速な対応をしていただきました。
機能してくれれば問題ないのですが、
交換品は箱が傷んでおり一度開封された物でした。
この点は在庫管理・配送に関しては外部委託のアマゾンに依存しているため
メーカーや商品の評価とは別になりますが気になりました。

When it comes to Apple I am usually reluctant to use 3rd party accessories because I was sold on Apple’s marketing that their products are a lot more superior and work with their products a lot better. I decided to buy a spare lightning cable but didn’t fancy paying £20 for what essentially would have been just a charging cable.
I looked online and settled on this one because it’s made by Anker a company I have bought a lot of other good affordable product from and scored this cable scored high reviews. I’m happy I did because it worked just fine, charging my phone as normal and worked perfectly connecting/syncing files from my iPhone to my computer.
I found the 1.8m to be a very good length, the cable itself is very strong, flexible, and durable. It has a very good build quality that makes it robust and will allow it to last a long time. This cable is great if you don’t want to pay the “Apple tax”. It is definitely good value for money and a very good alternative to the official Apple lightning cable. Hope this helps.

コネクター接続部分のパーツが薄いのか、iPhoneに差し込むとポポンポポン！と鳴り、満足に充電ができない。触ってみたところ、純正のライトニングゲーブルでは起こらないぐらつきが発生しているため、すぐに返品しました。
本製品は2本目ですが、1本目も接触があまり良くはありませんでした。(たまたまかな、と思い今回2度目の購入をしました)
純正品のライトニングゲーブルは短く不便なので購入しましたが、やはりApple製品は純正品がいいな、と感じました。
追記 他のiPhone2端末にも接続してみましたが、結果は同じでぐらついて満足に充電できず。やはり端末側の問題ではないようです。

Stopped working after about a year, unless you push it in and out several times and get lucky. Its almost as if the lightning adaptor has worn out on the cable. Second time its happened. Sometimes says ‘accessory may not be supported’.Initially put first cable failure down to ‘must be me’. But second cable gone same way. Shame because they do charge fast and meant to be apple approved and seemed good quality. Gone back to original (but shorter) Apple cable.
UPDATE- July 18. Anker Customer Service contacted me to say sending replacement. Also took serial number of failed unit- presume to investigate. Replacement received and is great. Faith restored in the brand. Moved back to 5 stars from 2!

Bought this cable 18 months ago, and it is working great even to this day! The length on this cable can seem a little excessive but once you have it, you’ll miss it every time you don’t! It works amazing when charging your phone in bed at night as you’re not having sit near the plug (we’ve all been there). Use it at work, at home, and travelling with a power bank, so it’s safe to say that I’ve used it a lot.

I also however take care over the things I buy and was surprised that a cable this well made started to fray. Come Jan 2019, the cable has started to fray at one end (see photos). It’s the protective casing that has frayed, but this made the cable temperamental in the way we’re all familiar with. I emailed anker direct (as this cable comes with a lifetime guarantee) and they were great. Very supportive and only willing to help you get a new cable as quickly as possible. 3 days later a brand new cable came through the door! Their customer service is at the same level as Amazon’s. Yes, their cable’s are a little more expensive but it’s well worth the money many times over. They’re also on Deal of the Day fairly regularly, so keep an eye out if you need one. On the whole do not have any worry on buying this cable, the only thing you should worry about is how many you buy! Thanks Anker!

UPDATE – bumping up to 3* as Anker reached out and sent me a new cable at no cost and apologized for the problems. The new cable appears to be an updated style so I’m hopeful that the issues I had in the past were fluke bad-runs.

First one of these I bought lasted just over 2 years, but then something must have fried and it stopped working. Second one I bought lasted almost a year – but then kept overheating when charging and causing the device to back off (it wasn’t the devices or plug — I could easily replicate with just the cable). Bought a third one, and the lightning tip separated base, so it’s getting returned. I really want a solid quality pure white cable for a specific area in my living room, but apparently this ain’t it…

Updated Nov 6, 2017. Since posting my initial review I have to say how impressed I am with Anker’s commitment to customer satisfaction. At no additional cost they sent me another cord to see if that one would be more acceptable than the first one. And indeed the second cord seems more pliable, less stiff and therefore (at least to my thinking), less likely to suffer breakage. The cord works great for charging my iPhone or iPad. I love the length of the cord and find the white colour visually appealing.

I find the cord to be stiff and I worry about wrapping it up to put into my accessories storage bag – will it affect the internal wiring and cause it to fray or break? Hope not. Other than that it’s working great for charging my iPhone and iPad, and it’s a great length!+

For a cable specifically advertised as being “the world’s most durable”, I am sorely disappointed that my cable purchased on August 21 broke on November 4, lasting only a bit over 2 months. The weak point seems to be the connector, as you can see in similar reviews. Sure, Anker has a replacement policy, but I was hoping to buy a cable that would last a long time to limit my environmental impact – replacing cables every few months creates an enormous amount of electronic waste.
