Purchase this product and use daily to charge cell phone. After only a couple months of use, the USB C end of the cord has come apart, and the internal wires are starting to become exposed.
Bang-for-buck, the quality of the product is to be expected. I have had good luck with the Amazon Basics cables otherwise. Would be nice to see a higher quality cable, perhaps a better strain-relief at the connectors.

Looks to be a good quality cable, the thickness is perfect – not too thick like the 3.0 cables and not too thin. This is good for travel – i.e. to pack with your Nintendo Switch. Other competitors have faster cables, but they are too thick and too stiff to use with the Switch.
Works great for charging the Switch – works great with my 2.4A iPad charger + Switch and also via a RavPower 10000mah slim USB-C battery pack.

i was charging my Samsung s10 when i started to smell something burning. i quickly unplugged my phone (which was insanely hot) and the cable actually burnt my finger when i touched it. fried my phones charging port. do not buy this cable. you wont only be out $10… you’ll need to buy a new smartphone when it inevitably fails. i am thankful i was awake when the cable failed im sure the phone wouldve caught on fire or exploded if i had left it on the charging cable any longer.

Works to charge my 11” iPad Pro; however it seems to charge more slowly than it does with the chord that came in the iPad box. Fraction of the cost of a branded chord though. I purchased this because I have one of those USB charging towers, and the iPad Pro 11” has a usb c on each end of the chord rather than a usb a on one end, so I couldn’t charge it on my USB tower charger without this Amazon Basics chord.
I have been using this product for almost a month now. So, here are my observations.
Pros ==== 1. The product quality is good. 2. It is not prone to damages.
Cons ==== 1. This is not a fast charging USB cable. It takes almost half the time taken by my 18W fast charger. 2. The cable does not fit properly in my Nokia 7 plus.
Overall, I would only recommend this as your backup option. It will not suffice your requirements if you are planning to use this daily.

No issues charging. The fit and finish of the cable is great for the no frills pricing that Amazon has on these cables. Cable end terminations are reminicent of Apple lighting cables, the wire itself feels a bit more sturdy than the silicone like cabling found on Apple cables (which are known to come apart at the device end).

Picked up as an add-on item for $6.99 recently, although I see it has jumped up to $15.99 as of 5/17. Not sure why such a wild price swing. At $6.99, good value. At $15.99, value is questionable. At the higher price point, you’d probably be better off with an Anker product. You get higher quality and a better warranty (and a company that backs it) for similar, or even lower pricing. Just my two cents.

Look at the attached photo. This cable was connected to a Samsung-branded car charger that I also bought on Amazon and the cable simply burnt, causing me and my wife a scare because we were away from home with our kids and smelled something burning, and we did not know if it’s safe to continue to drive. It took time to identify the source. I continued to use the charger with another cable (and the same phone) and it’s fine. The phone was not even connected when the cable burnt, which is lucky, or else the phone would likely be damaged beyond repair. It’s too late to return the cables (I bought two and the other one also does not look good), but at least I’m warning other buyers.

普通に使っているだけなのですが、一度は内部断線、二度目は外側がめくれてケーブルが露出…。

2月10日、充電しようとスマホ(Zenfone3Ultra)を繋げたら、充電されないしなんか焦げ臭い、それに熱くなってきた。
抜いてみたら、白い煙が……そして両方の端子が溶けた!!
まさかAmazonベーシックでこうなるとは思いませんでした。お持ちの方、購入される方は2A以上の充電器の使用は控えることをお勧めします。
