This is a longgggg term review as this was bought September 2016 and used DAILY EVER SINCE !
I needed just a short 4 foot cable as I was connecting a monitor to a computer and everything locally was 10 foot minimum. That single cable 10 foot was $29.97 as well ! Talk about highway robbery.
I said no to that and decided to purchase elsewhere so I came to Amazon and came across their own brand of times AmazonBasics. This was my first purchase of Amazon’s own brand so I was unsure on what to expect however what I received was a true quality cable. I inspected it before I plugged everything in and the pins were perfect. There was no kinks in the cable and it was brand new not a previous return. I also needed that high throughput and that is exactly what I received with this cable.
General thoughts:
– I bought a two pack of 6 foot cables and that is exactly what I received two cables that are 6 feet each, not 5 feet, not 5 1/2 feet but 6 feet even.
– I can play 4K easily with these cables. Kinda funny as I threw on an old HDMI cable and the video did not play but did with these cables.
– The cable ends are strong and held together well. I’ve never had any experience of the cable ends coming apart. However I also don’t yank on the middle of the cord to unplug the cable.
Since my first experience with the AmazonBasics brand I have bought a number of other Amazon branded items, from pillows to cookware, from electronics to the bedroom linen.

Necesitaba un cable hdmi y no me quería gastar mucho dinero. Fui a varias tiendas como mediamarkt, worten… En todas estaban carisimos, hasta que decidí buscar aquí. Necesitaba un cable para mi ps4 y he de decir que no tenía muchas esperanzas, ya que es un cable relativamente barato, pero he de decir que cumple a la perfección y es un producto totalmente solvente. Los materiales no son lo mejor del mundo, pero es un plástico de alta calidad, a años luz de otros hdmi del chino que he tenido.
Si te ha servido esta valoración, me ayudaría mucho que me la marcaseis como útil en el botón de abajo. Muchas gracias.

現在のAV機器は【4K対応】が前提となっており、それらは【PremiumハイスピードHDMIケーブル】でなければ認識すらされません。なまじこのケーブルが【4K対応機器】と【よく一緒に購入されて商品】として、同時に表示されるため、誤って購入してしまいました。値段的にも【Premium】とさほど変わりませんし、【上位互換性】がとれているのであれば、非常に紛らわしいことこの上ないので、製造・販売を中止すべきだと考えます。

There are so many HDMI cables in the market but they are all so expensive. I was not willing to pay so much for a cable. And then when I came across this, it was cheap and took a leap of faith and ordered it. I was very impressed. My TV can render UHD videos without any distortion or lag.

The cord delivers on its promise. Works just as well as my Rocketfish HDMIs. The wire is rather thick, but for my purposes this will be an asset as I will be rolling it up and storing it after each use. The weight of the cord was a little bit concerning. However, after setting it up, the cord it was ridged enough to hold most of its own weight, so as to not strain your HDMI connecter ports.
I cannot attest to its ability to transfer 4K content as my tower computer and projector do not support that media format. That being said, I do not notice anything abnormal in the 1080p image quality. Definitely a great buy.
Cord was delivered on time and in new condition. I would recommend this product and will be buying in the future.
UPDATE Sept 26,2019: One year later and it’s still working flawlessly. A GREAT purchase!

Ridiculously thick, like oh my god this thing is THICC.
No but really the gauge of the cable is thicker than my 18AWG surge protector cable, I’m definitely not gonna be concerned about whether or not this is properly shielded for long runs. Be advised though in case you’re trying to fit the cable through a tight space, need to make a sharp turn with a cable, or are just trying to make a cable inconspicuous, this thick ass cable might make that difficult.
I only ended up using one out of the two pack, shelved the other for future use. But I did test both and they worked fine for my use case (1080p at 60fps with CEC and HDCP support)

安さと、Amazonブランドということで購入
トータルで20〜30本ほど使用。1年半で6割故障しました。
仕事柄、10台ほどのTVとDVDプレーヤーなどをつないでいますが、１，段々と接触が悪くなってくる ２．全く見れなくなる この２つの症状のどちらかが出て、違うケーブルに交換すると治ります。
HDMIを使い始めてかなりの年月が経ちますが、HDMIで故障するのはAmazonのみでした。
使い捨てで、１回きりしか使わないと言うことでしたらおすすめしますが、仕事で使うor自宅で使用頻度が高いという状況下に置いては、全くおすすめしません。

Note that these cables advertise the “latest hdmi standard”. The description (scroll through) advertises 10gbps in one area, and 18gbps further down. I can confirm these are only 10gbps. Will work for 4k at 30Hz. But not at 60Hz. Not recommended for xbox one x if you want both freesync and atmos. Cable can’t handle it.
I also believe these reviews are for a mish mash of different Amazon Basics cables. I see reviews of how thick these are. The ones I bought are thin. 3 pack @ 3feet each.

Especially considering the price, it’s really tough to find any faults with these HDMI cables.
I purchased this set (a 3 foot and 15 foot cable) to have a spare short cable, as well as to have a longer cable to run from my laptop to my TV across the room. Both cables work perfectly – no issues at all with either. The connections were solid and audio transfer out to the TV worked really well.
My only complaint, and I’ve had this same complaint about other long HDMI cables, is the thickness of the 15′ cable. It’s very chunky, although not enough to really be much of an issue. It makes it a little awkward and unwieldy to run, but definitely not enough to be any sort of deterrent. I’d love if it was thinner, but it’s not the end of the world.
Pros:
– Two cables included, so easy to rig up your media setup, whatever it may be.
– HDMI cables work as expected, zero issues
Cons:
– The 15 foot cable is thicker than I would like and therefore a but awkward to use, but not so much that it’s unmanageable.

The picture does not do it justice. This HDMI cable is beefy! The cable is flexible enough to wrap around tight corners but rigid enough it will take abuse. Works like a charm and I expect something this overbuilt will last until hdmi is no longer used.

I have a 2017 Sony TV connected to a 1080 ti running 4K @ 60Hz and just needed a longer cable.
Although advertised as such (ex. HDMI 2.0 & “latest standard”), the cable did not work and would only produce a blank screen.
Reading through some of the other comments, it seems to be hit-or-miss with a 4K@60Hz setup.

I bought this product back in 30 April, 2017 for mirroring my laptop screen onto my tv mainly to watch anime and movies. Overall the HDMI cable is very sturdy and the output picture & sound quality is excellent. So far of usage I haven’t faced any issues personally, everything works smooth till now. If you are looking for a well built and durable HDMI cable that would last for a long duration of time along with providing top notch output.. then this is definitely the right choice to go with 🙂
