Very happy with this cart! I don’t use it for a microwave but it’s an excellent coffee station and place to store extra pots in my small kitchen. I put it together in about 20 min. Everything went together well and all pieces were included with the package. It’s sturdy and the locking castors are great- especially living in an old home with slanted floors!

If you are looking for a well-priced unit, this is a great choice!

Fits in our under stair utility area. We have a tiny kitchen so need to keep worktop clear. Perfect height for my microwave. My large very heavy mixer fits on middle shelf with my scales. The bottom shelf holds my large pasta saucepan and another large pan with room for something else to fit. Better than anticipated and very sturdy. Took about 20 mins to assemble. No tools required.

I was able to piece this together quite quickly – it’s a super simple design that is proven to work. I have a similar design in my pantry with the plastic ‘halves’ clipping onto mounting points, then pressure locked into place via the shelf units placed above them. This design allows each shelf to hold a surprising amount of weight, and be surprisingly sturdy. One of the pairs of clips arrived broken, but there is roughly 3 or 4 extra within the pack so it worked out totally fine for me.

So far this has worked great as a little kitchen cart/island (I have a small kitchen, so adding extra space and a cutting surface was more important than a microwave cart). The thing that I did find, and I am not really sure I can fault Amazon for, is that the wood top arrived incredibly dry. Don’t expect for this to be any sort of end grain butcher block or anything like that – it’s an edge grain wood block with pegs attached to the bottom so that it can be mounted on top of the poles of the cart design. So you’re not going to be able to reverse this, and while the surface is going to be incredibly durable (and cheap!), it will dull your knife faster than an end grain, and you’re likely to develop cut marks that won’t self heal. I would recommend therefore that if you decide to ever do any cutting on the board (treating it less like a microwave cart and more like a prep surface), you place another cutting board on top of it. I haven’t tried to pop the top off to clean it, but it would definitely be more work than just lifting a cutting board.

As for the dryness: these boards are likely stored for long periods of time, and the condition of the wood shows it. Its absolutely fine and understandable, but I would encourage any new buyers to make sure that they have plenty of mineral oil handy to recondition the board before they pop it together. I personally used a combination of John Boo’s Mystery Oil (really just mineral oil) well rubbed into all surfaces of it repeatedly until it stopped drinking it in, worked off the excess with a clean cloth, and then ‘sealed’ it with the John Boos Board Cream (really just a mix of beeswax and mineral oil) – a layer applied, left to stand, then buffed out. You don’t want the surface of the board to be oily or greasy, but you want to ensure that the wood is fully impregnated with the oil. A quick and easy way to test is to let a drop of water drip onto the surface: if it beads, you’re good to go. If it soaks up, your board is dry and needs to be conditioned.

All in all though, fantastic product at the price. And considering a good end grain butcher block of similar size would cost more than this entire cart would, I can hardly fault them for using an edge grain.

I had tried forever to put this cart together, looked simple enough, but the black clips kept falling off…..
I almost gave up until a friend of mine who had put one of these carts together in the past ask me if I was putting the arrow on the black clips facing up……. I had no idea that there were arrows on the clips….. once I found that out, I had no problem putting the unit together……. The manufacturer should specifically make a note in the instructions to tell the consumer to make sure the stamped arrow on the clips need to face up and not down…… I had one up and one down and that’s why the clips kept falling off…… Also, I think instead of the arrow being black like the clip where you can hardly see it, the arrows on each clip should be painted white or a color that’s visible.

I bought 2 of these as a solution to a work surface problem.

Problem: . Large worktop area Worktop Height Limited space Ergonomic Easy to move Store away.

1 I needed to work (cutting out sewing/craft) at the right workbench height. Around 90-95 cm.
    2. I have a large cutting board of plywood which takes the spread of fabric 150 cm x 100 cm
    3. I do not have the luxury of space.

Solution: 2 Microwave trolleys. Act as Supports. Great Storage underneath. Right Height. Movable. Usable on their own. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC.

I should add that putting them together if you are familiar with metal shelving is a doddle. Took me 10 minutes for both. Follow the instructions its easy. For those who have never used it before….start from the bottom and do not screw the support arms together until you have got the base started. 4 legs/supports, castors, 1 shelf. Think out the locking castors. Once you have that stable base you can begin to build up.

Caution: Do not push the trolley from the wooden base on top. It is designed to lift off and you dont want it coming loose in the middle of moving it around. (mine have no weight on them so they move easily.) I move the trolley from room to room by pushing the legs-steel supports.

Delivery: Ordered 2. Came at different times during the day.

Hope this helps those who need worktop space and are space limited.

Stunned by the quality of this trolley. Very easy to put together, great height for my purpose and plenty of storage room. The top is very much like a butchers block and much thicker than I expected which is fantastic. Easy to move about the kitchen and best of all frees up much needed bench space.

I pondered between one at Wayfair and this one I bought at Amazon. Don’t buy it imo. It’s floppy. Couldn’t use it for microwave guess in the bathroom for towels and soaps. Disappointed. The break is on one side. Not sure if they thought I was parking on a hill. If there was a break on a wheel on left and right maybe it wouldn’t move. Every time I go to open microwave I need to hang onto cart cuz it moves and of course towards the break I continue to think I live on a hill in my kitchen

Great little bakers rack for the money. Well packed. The removable wood block is nifty. My 11 year old daughter and I put it together in minutes. I have a big heavy Microwave on top and it’s still sturdy. The locking wheels keep it anchored in place and the utensil rack can be raised/lowered or moved to the other side.

Great product. Solid construction. Larger wheels makes it much easier to move around then some of the other carts we have used in the past. Sets up in minutes, didn’t even notice the picture instructions in the back of the booklet until after I had it completely setup. The little shelf lock wedges are clearly marked which side to put up. Clip them on the legs and slide them up or down until they lock into the grooves on the legs. Slide the tapers on the corner of the shelves over the wedges and shelf locks in place. To adjust shelf location just lift it up move the lock wedges to new location and put shelf back. My only complaint is that when you engage the locks on the two wheels, the wheels won’t turn but the wheels can still swivel. This allows for a small amount of motion on the cart when pushing on the top.
Overall the cart is very stable except for this small amount of motion as the locked wheels swivel. Even pointing them in opposite directions does not completely remove this motion. Everything else works perfectly which these carts.

Overall I really like this product. It looks nice, is sturdy and was relatively easy to assemble. I have two minor issues including one of the wheels sticking making it somewhat difficult to roll, and one of the plastic protective covers on the utility bar was missing. This is an Amazon Basics product and nowhere can I find how to contact them to resolve the issues. I do not want to return it and even if I did the packaging was ruined in order to get the cart out of the box so I do not know how I would send it back. All I want is information on how to trouble shoot the sticking wheel (brochure is no help) and to have someone send me a protective tip for the utility bar. The cart is still very usable and as I said, I really do like the cart, however a bit more help via customer service would be nice.

I had read other reviews and thought I would buy this trolley. It only took about 20 minutes to put together. Very sturdy. Wheels are big and strong (rubber & metal). The worktop is chunky solid wood. Very happy with it and especially for the price! May stain the top to match my worktops.
