There’s a hook on the bottom of the batteries. And it spins like 180°. I can hook this up in my tent, a lot of times I put it in my van and it sits upright on the countertop. You only need about two hours for it to charge again. I have a connected to our exterior battery pack so it last about 6 to 7 hours. There’s three settings on the light and the fan which is nice.
The sound that it makes can be ignored during sleep, it’s not 100% quiet but you do know it’s there. From a distance of 4 feet you can still feel a good breeze. I highly recommend this. I’ve been using this fan/light now for a couple of months in the 80° heat and the 30° cool frosty night. It does move the air about 10 to 15° also it’s big enough to hang on the roof of a van and comfortably fan two people.
    Van life. Anywhere.

Small yes, but it delivers. Three speeds and three brightness levels. The only thing not tested is the duration hours.
If it delivers there, I’m buying three or four more for Christmas gifts and one more for me (Mrs. already stole this one). Well thought out and well made. If it lasts for years… I’ll be mad I didn’t buy 6 or more. Well thought I sent this out but I didn’t soooo, now I can write the duration part. It has been running on low fan for 12 hours and when I switch it to high it doesn’t miss a beat, no growning or slowing – this thing is amazing. Going to order more for sure. Chared it up full from my laptop – well done, thanks

This fan works great. I’m actually unsure of its battery life bc I plug it into a solar bank while using it, as you can see in the video.

The fan and light work great and I actually had to turn it off in the middle of the night one night bc I got too cold.

The only downside it the power indicator light stays on when it’s plugged into my solar battery and shines in my face.

It’s not real bad but would be nice if it were placed on the end instead of the top surface for future models. Easily hidden with a piece of tape though.

I 100% recommend this fan for anyone. Camping, outdoor event, office desk, anything.

Definitely makes hot nights in a hammock much more bearable.

So I am changing my first review from 1 star to 5 stars. This little fan is powerful and is an absolute lifesaver when tenting in a heatwave. At first I gave it 1star because I thought that it took batteries and that the ad was misleading. It does not take batteries but it has an internal rechargeable battery that you use a USB to recharge. I personally tested the battery life. On low speed it lasted 34 hours (but low is useless), medium speed (which is fairly good) lasted 11.5 hours and high speed (which is amazing) lasted 6 hours.

So I use the fan just when falling asleep and in the morning when my tent starts to get hot. And if I’m camping without power I bring a battery bank to recharge it.

I’ve also been using this fan I. My kitchen. I have a tiny kitchen with very little cupboard space so it’s very nice to have a breeze going through when it heats up in there

    I definitely recommend this fan!

Battery life was way better then expected.
Used in my tent summer camping for some air movement and the noise helps me sleep (it is very quiet though).

Fully charged and having the fan on the medium setting, the fan was still going when I woke up 7 hrs later. Charged it for 3 hrs with a small portable battery pack the next day and it lasted another 7 hrs the next night.

The light with the 3 settings is a nice feature also. Easily bright enough for anything you need to see in a tent at night (reading etc).

Can’t comment on longevity of use but after 1 camping trip I’m happy.
    Very impressed for the price.

This little fan was a lifesaver for my recent camping trip. The hook to hang it from the ceiling of the tent was great, and it has a huge range of motion. There are three settings for both the fan and the light, and it really is powerful for such a tiny fan. My only issue was the battery life. It did last for 8-9 hours on medium speed, but it took me about 4-5 hours to get it fully charged again, which is tough when you don’t have an outlet. My portable charger only got it about halfway so it only lasted about 2 hours the following night. I wish that it used regular batteries so I could have had the option to switch them out when needed, but next time I would just buy another set of rechargable batteries and alternate them. All in all definitely would recommend.

It does NOT come with a charger it takes a very a very specific volt amp charger. It will void the warrenty if not used ,yet they provide one or suggest one. No part or sku # ,no recommend manufacture or Nothing! You have to waste time trying to get proper charger yourself . It comes with a usb cord yet it still requires a very specific input voltage. If I didn’t know it didn’t come with a charger I did never bought it! I bought a headlamp the very same way rechargeable batteries that required a very specific charger voltage input never did find a charge for it now it’s just a waste and I believe this fan is going to be the exact same way! Very dissatisfied why would a manufacturer create something with rechargeable batteries and not provide a battery charger for it!?

This fan is amazing. We recently moved off grid and are testing the winter conditions living in the not so greatly insulated cabin. As shown on the pictures we hung it on the ceiling near the wood stove. The fan on low setting immediately makes a tremendous difference in the room temperature by circulating the air. I can’t praise the fan enough. It runs 36 hours on the low setting. We’re going to buy a second one to use while one is charging. There are only two disappointments I had. First one is that it can not be charged using a power bank (don’t understand why) and secondly the noise it makes. It’s ok in the living space but I would not be able to have it in the bedroom and sleep. I had hoped to use it in the summer. The noise is similar to what power lines emit. An annoying humming that is difficult to ignore. But again, the fan works so fantastically and can be directed every which way one needs it, I have to give it 5 stars.

Decent little fan with custom brightness and fan power.

Update 2 (improved rating on product alone):
They sent another unit. Unit works fine. Would have been nice to use it on my camping trip but due to lack of correspondence and timing I was unable to. Initially a Headache to get a solution. Social media contact was MIA most of the time. Email correspondence improved after several attempts and has since been great. Overall product appears to do what it says it does/intends to do.

    Update (reduced rating)
    1) during initial charging I noticed at one point the Red LED indicator light was flickering rapidly and erratically. Since that one time the LED has since been able to illuminate during any phases (use, charge, anything).

    2) during my operation test today I set the fan on “medium speed.” The ad indicates a 9 hour use before being drained of power on Medium speed. I timed the unit to a duration of 715am to 223pm (shy of 7.25 hours total) before it completely ran out of power. This is pretty far off from the suggested power consumption.

    3) I am attempting to charge the fan again and the battery is getting warm (note: LED is not present). I am concerned with actually charging it for the suggested 4 hours with a 5W charger since noticeable heat was felt only after being plugged in for 1 minute. Unit does no longer holds power.

I’ve contacted amacool both via email and messenger. Initial response on the issues of the unit 2 days ago (same day at the time of my inquiry) . No further response/contact dispute my follow up’s on both platforms to present time. NOTE: no phone number available for contact.

Will update rating once I get a response of course of action.

Right out of the box, this little fan went non-stop for 3.5 hours on high! Then after a full plug-in re-charge (which took about 4 hours) it ran non-stop for just over 7 hours on high again! With fan on high & light on high, it went 4.5 hours! I’m very impressed! Lightweight, but great air flow for such a little fan! Light is nice touch, & settings are handy! Will keep testing it…

I just found out there is a cheaper one for 31.99 compare to 39.99. for the exact same one….

Anyways, A few things that i wished this had.
    1. battery life indicator. Would be very helpful.
    2. easier battery removal. on instructions it says to remove battery when not being used. there is only one way, but it dosnt come out and i dont want to break my fan…
3.sturdier hook. its all plastic and and dosent really feel sturdy.
    4. a small compartment on the fan to able to put in your charging cable.
    5. solar panel

if it had even half of any of this i think i would have been happy to have paid $40.

but over all its light, easy to use and helps to have air flow in the tent in the hot. I have yet to really know how effective the sponge thing is for repelling mosquito. i have so far used lavender essential oil on it and cant tell since i am very careful not to let any bugs in the tent.
