We only have a microwave and a small two slice toaster at work. Not many options for heating up lunches.
One of my coworkers uses these every day so I figured I had to try them. It opens up quite a few possibilities for lunches.
They make a decent grilled ham and cheese, especially if you only have access to a toaster. Not quite a crisp as in a fry pan, but I will definitely take it!
I have also heated pizza up in one. It makes is much less soggy than when heating it in a microwave.
I get quite a few uses out of them, but they do tend to rip out the bottom when you over-stuff it and the crush it down to fit into the toaster. Not the bag’s fault.
After I wash and dry it, I fold a paper towel and put it in the bag before putting it away. This seems to keep it dry and fresh inside.
Definitely recommend them, just don’t over-stuff.

Love them! I was a bit skeptical but they work perfectly. Grilled cheese turned out great and they’re very easy to wash. Will definitely order again.

My kids absolutely love these bags. They’re a lot easier to use and requires absolutely no pan or anything. Depending on the size of the bag, we can put frozen nuggets and even fries for a complete lunch or snack without having to preheat the oven and wait almost 30-45 minutes. We’ve all gotten really creative with all the different grilled cheese sandwiches we’ve been making. When it comes to nuggets, just throw a few in there and place in the toaster. We find that it’s easier to put the bag in the toaster, then fill and then push the toaster button down. This seems to ensure that they not only fit inside but don’t bunch up. Our toaster does have the wider openings for thicker slices of bread so that is really helpful. When it comes to cleaning these bags, we just wipe them down, rinse and let them air dry before we put them away. Really easy to use that even our 6 year old can make herself a sandwich with little supervision.

I saw this item used on The Kitchen and thought it looked promising. The bags are too small to accommodate a simple cheese sandwich – trying to maneuver the sandwich into the sleeve proved to be a daunting task. There were hot spots on the sandwich with very uneven toasting. (I can’t blame this on my perfectly functional toaster.) Forget trying to clean the darn thing! Total waste of money…

I had never heard of these, or seen them anywhere, until amazon.ca. I like grilled cheese sandwiches and it is such a bother to get out the frying pan to make them. These bags do work, put the sandwich in, put it in the toaster and the sandwich comes out cooked. I had to experiment a bit with my toaster settings. I’m also wondering if these bags would transfer some chemicals onto my sandwich. I don’t know the answer to that. The sandwiches taste normal though. I find them very handy and easy to use.

I love these toaster bags. I’ve been using similar ones for a few years. They make it possible to pop a nicely buttered cheese sandwich in the pop-up toaster without ruining the toaster, and I no longer use my sandwich maker – which used to be so hard to clean, even if I used baking sheets on it. Of course these bags would work in a sandwich maker as well, but so simple to use the toaster which is out on the work top and handy.

I’ve mastered the break room toaster like a boss with these. Grilled cheese sandwiches turn out awesome. Pizza, fried chicken tenders, french fries, taquitos, mini burritos, day old pastries (like that last cream cheese danish)…if they will fit down in a toaster slot, you can put the food in these toaster bags and crisp them back up again. No more soggy, rubbery chicken and pizza. Sure, you may have to squish it flat so that the food item will fit. You may even have to fold a slice of pizza in half to fit. A little imagination and you can re-heat or cook any pocket-sized food or appetizer, all neatly contained by your reusable toaster bag. You need these.

These bags let my young kids make toasted cheese sandwiches after school before I get home. The bags are holding up and we haven’t had any problems with them except for Grandpa not understanding that they are reusable. He threw away a few as they do look quite used now. But the bags are not going to look perfect and new forever, its to be expected when used a lot in the heat of a toaster and with cheese. They ones Granpa didn’t get to are still holding up and working quite well. They do get hot, but my kids use small oven mitts to pull the bags out of the toaster without hurting themselves.
