Affordable Rental Housing Complexes Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs has initiated Affordable Rental Housing Complexes (ARHCs), a sub- scheme under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban ( PMAY -U). Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana ( PMAY ) is a credit-linked subsidy scheme by the Government of India to provide affordable housing for the low and moderate-income residents. It has two components: PMAY -U for the urban poor and PMAY -G/R for the rural poor, with different eligibility criteria and subsidy rates.
