PM E-DRIVE is a scheme launched by the Ministry of Heavy Industry, Govt. of India, to promote electric vehicles and charging stations. It offers demand incentives, grants and subsidies for e-2W, e-3W, e-buses, e-trucks and other new emerging EV categories. The Government of India has notified ‘PM Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement (PM E-DRIVE) Scheme' on 29.09.2024 to provide impetus to the green mobility & development of EV manufacturing eco-system in the country. The Scheme aims to incentivize around 3.2 lakh electric three-wheelers (e-3Ws) across two categories viz. registered e-rickshaws/e-carts or L5. Only those e-3Ws equipped with advanced batteries will qualify for the demand incentive. The Government of India has launched PM E-DRIVE scheme to promote green mobility and EV eco-system with ₹10,900 crore outlay. The scheme offers demand incentives, grants for charging infrastructure and capital assets, and E-vouchers for EV buyers.
