Amit Lodha, an IPS officer from the 1998 batch, gained prominence for his crime-fighting efforts in Bihar. His tenure as Superintendent of Police in Nalanda district was particularly notable; he led operations that resulted in the capture of notorious criminals, earning him the moniker ‘super cop’. This decision not only gave his life direction but also allowed him to serve the nation in a deeply impactful way. Amit Lodha is an IPS officer currently serving as ADGP of BSF. He has been awarded the prestigious Police Medal for Gallantry and the Internal Security Medal for his work, as well as the Utkrisht Seva Medal and the President’s Medal for meritorious service. He has previously authored Bihar Diaries: The True Story of How Bihar's Most Dangerous Criminal Was Caught (2018) and Life in the Uniform: Adventures of an IPS Officer in Bihar (2022). This is his third book.
